  I have a new EVGA GEFORCE GT730 2 GB GDDR5 graphics card and am ready to install it in the box above.

  Haggiscat suggested this card through a previous post on this site. I printed the directions of installation of help from hp and I so the mechanics of the installation of this thing. These directions say disable the first onboard graphics card, then go into the box and install the new card. My question is: do I need to do something else first as in downloading the driver first / delete the old driver first.etc? Also, I have a disc that came with the new card.   I did some research after that discover your graphics update did not work.  I found another thread in which the motherboard is the same as the one you have and the video card is in the same family as the one you bought.

  I also see in other forums that the 720 thru 770 cards are not compatible with this motherboard.  I have not found a referenced compatible card.  A resolution has been accomplished by changing the motherboard.

  I have some thoughts, but it was not a bad idea to ask this question to the experts here.  The coordinates of the XY plot can be unconnected with the coordinates of the ranges coordinated axe X and Y of the intensity curve.  A few thoughts:

  (1) knowing the X, Y coordinates of the plot, somehow use the draw capabilities to duplicate the XY trace - draw capabilities allow almost anything to be drawn on the charts with a smart programming.

  (2) similar to above, but in fact do, first display graphic intensity of the data in the picture in the image control control (the default container that I use is the graph of the intensity, but for this application, I can switch back).  Mask of image control capabilities can be used?

  Any thoughts are appreciated...

  Ah, I see. You'll really have to do something special. Just your graph XY to be transparent by using the color brush tool, remove the axes X and Y and just place it on top of the intensity card.

  I own a HP Pavilion a6414 and this is my first video/graphics card upgrade.  I did a good bit of research and I know that I have the PCI E x 16 appropriate for the card slot and the power SUPPLY 650 Watt PSU to insert in the ATX case. I measure the UAP present btw.  I'm a little worried about the upgrade of the power supply, because I read somewhere (I think it's here on this forum) that some HP tech rep said a person who upgrade the power supply could not be performed on the a6414, but I don't see why not.

  My other concern is about the speed of the processor to the graphics card and possibly voltage problems, but I think the power SUPPLY Ultra PSU will be fine.  Either that it is my first time to play with the graphics card and PSU, I'm looking for advice on the compatibility between these three components, i.e. the model, the card and the power supply.  Any input will be greatly appreciated.

  I installed everything today and it works like a charm.  I had read so much about the HD 5770 not recognized by HPs and the test of the power supply, but everything worked so far.  I bought a LG LED 20 "monitor today as well, and everything looks great.  Thanks for all the advice guys...  The links you provided helped with Dave BIOS, thanks.

• Graphics performance significantly reduced after an update

  I have a HP Pavilion g4t customizable Notebook PC with 512 MB DDR3 (TM) Radeon HD 6470 M Graphics [HDMI, VGA].

  When I got the computer first, the graphics (graphics of Windows Aero and Business/Gaming) were both rated 5.3 or higher on the Windows experience index.

  Since then, I think that an update (update of the BIOS?) has greatly reduced the performance up to 2.0 (Windows Aero) and 4.4 (Business/games graphics). What happened, and how can I solve the problem?

  The computer is always set to use the Radeon 6470 graphic card - it is not configured to use the built-in standard charts.

  Is there a BIOS setting that I can change? Or is my computer just defective and in need of a repair?

  As I said a graphics driver could have updated your WEI score. This is not mandatory but the most often occurs when the most current drivers are installed. This happened to me several times as well.

  In order to have the correct score of WEI each time I install display drivers that assure me that I uninstall old graphics drivers. After that, restart the computer and install the most recent which ideally is a better way to do.

  I also wanted to know after you have installed the latest drivers from the HP site, WEI score window you clicked on "Re-run assessment" or update my option of partition?

• Qosmio X 500-12D-freezes random

  Almost since I bought this beast, I had little problems. First time graphics card were wild, then more warranty, I got new graphics and its fine.

  Since that time I noticed, random freezes, but I noticed that sometimes I am out, expect, recently gel would more often and no chance of non, no matter what I do, computer does not respond.

  I tried to find answers around on internet, even here, some say that its USB, some say that its WiFi adapter, I have disabled all the and yet I get it.

  I bought SSD just after the purchase of this laptop, I thought that the gels were cause of SSD.
  I tested the RAM, I tested the SSD with the Intel Tolboox as I have Intel SSD...
  What I've noticed is that my laptop freezes on test CPU.
  I try to monitor temperatures, but I guess that pic is fast and high cause I do not see the monitor Exchange when freezes.

  Freezes are now several times a day, while usually it was like once in 5-6 days...
  I'm out of warranty now for 5 months.

  I still don't know what causes this problem, but I am ready to upgrade memory and CPU.

  Issues related to the:
  1. does anyone had the same problems and solved? (computer hangs just, HDD LED is not lit)
  2. If I update CPU, buy i7-2820QM he says CF-PGA988, I spoke with Intel's support, they say, it will fit in a PGA988, who has my Qosmio X 500 - 12D. But I do not know, will it work as it should?
  3. If above CPU works fine, it does mean that I can put more RAM, 16 GB for example? Instead of 8 GB that is MAX right now, or is - this MBO thing? (cause for 2820 he says max is 32 GB). While for the 720QM 8 GB.

  S of freezing are caused either by software or hardware in many cases problems are software related issues
  I recommend that you install an application LatencyMon and DPC latency checker.

  CPU must be supported by the chipset.
  The laptop supports the Mobile Intel PM55 Express Chipset... you will need to check if the new processor would be supported by the chipset.

  OK heres the problems...

  So year ago my computer crashed a lot, I am finally really bored with it so I erased the memory cool.
  Then after doing this, the problem has been resolved, but a new problem came.
  A red hue on everything I have not a clue of how else to to describe. The lines of each image for example a piece of grass has its image in red.
  It seems to just terrible and ruins all movies etc. which is annoying because im fond of youtube.com, I decided to open the laptop (which proved be a pig to open) and cannot find the problem, but when I closed the laptop and shake him a slight noise rattling at the top left of my laptop nearby speakers is here...   The other drivers you need are the following: install this first and then try to install the Realtek ethernet card.

  The chipset driver install drivers of motherboard (for example the smbus controller). Perhaps because the controller driver SMBus is not installed the ethernet driver cannot be installed.

  If you have not installed the 2 GB of memory, you can do that too.  Who really needs help.

  Your PC will need a module of memory 2 GB PC2 - 5300 and you remove the East already since there is only one slot memory of 1 GB.

  Unfortunately, I wouldn't know what you need to do to get the keyboard light to work.

  I suggest that you call super.setFont () in your replacement of setFont().  If you change the font size, calls updateLayout(). Please remove all your game with getGraphics and object direct calls - you pass the object Graphics hurt in this way.

  Graphics.setFont () does not help you before super.paint () - it affects calls subsequent drawText(), but I suspect that LabelField first calls Graphics.setFont (this.getFont ())...

  In fact, you can completely remove _font and all references to it.  Then you can drop your setFont () graphics.setFont () of your override and override object, leaving only setColor().
