First HP: The first HP splash screen disabling

I love my first HP but I'm a little tired of seeing the logo of "HP" pop a few seconds every time I turn on my computer.   Is it possible to disable?   (or by shortening the time)

It was ok when I used it just here and there, but now that I use it for hours, it becomes a bit annoying to have to wait few seconds every time that happens.

Good and bad news.  The bad news is: no, there is no setting that disables the start screen.  The good news is: you don't need to wait for it to go away.  The keyboard buffer becomes active as soon as the ignition, so run some keys you press on during the splash screen when the startup screen goes.  Simply turn on your first and start using it right away, even when the start screen shows.  Nice, huh?

Hope that helps!  DISCLAIMER: I do not work for HP.

  • How to disable the Network Magic Splash Screen feature?

Anyone can guide me please you through the steps to disable the Network Magic boot screen? I bought the software a few years back and saw a message, how to do it. I did, and it worked a treat... until a recent bug on my computer forced a major restoration, which brought back the splash screen. Now, I forgot (of course) how I disabled it in the registry. I know that this question is compared to the major probs that here, others have small potatoes, but I hope that someone will still give me a little help.

Well, that's interesting! I really thought that it was a common problem, which need a registry edit to remove the splash screen, as is the case with other programs. I was wrong.

So, once a hardware problem (I just had one of my hard drives go bad), I'll follow your advice by uninstalling and then reinstalling Network Magic. The splash screen I see, which appears just after the start and central rest before and during the complete boot process, is a pale green rectangle with 'Pure Networks' (and a little of the rest of the text) on this subject. I'll report after trying your solution.

    Thanks much for the reply.

  • Windows starts to pitch up, then go back to the computer startup splash screen.

Had a power outage during the startup of Windows XP. I have a computer to dual boot with Linux; Linux started normally, and shows that the expected files and directories in the partition Windows is here. When I try to start Windows, it begins to start with the first screen of boot of Windows, then instead of heading shots of Protocol of usual starting rear opening of the computer to start up splash screen. Did not start in safe mode - got a text but safe mode did not start. How to start?

    Hi Stapilus,

    ·          You receive an error message when you start the computer?

    Method 1

Use the last known good Configuration tool to restore the operation of Windows XP

To do this, follow these steps:

    (a) start the computer and press the F8 key when Windows begins to start. The Windows Advanced Options menu is displayed.

    (b) use the ARROW keys to select last good Configuration known (your most recent settings that worked), and then click OK.

    (c) If a boot menu appears, use the ARROW keys to select Microsoft Windows XP, and then click OK

Windows XP starts your computer by using the registry information that were recorded at the close of the last.

    Method 2

If the previous step fails, then you will need to repair the installation of Windows XP by performing the repair installation by using the Windows XP installation CD.

  • TP stuck on the HP logo splash screen

I was reading tweets to Spaz HD and came across one that had a URL link to an article. After clicking on the shortcut URL map browser open, but the page is not. I swiped the card and tried again. Second time, same thing. On the third try the TP farm and went to start HP logo screen and it is since on this subject (more than an hour now). I tried the home button/power button to restart, but his does not work.

Any ideas on what to do next to fix this?

Called webOS Butler and they accompanied me by Sunrise PT and running. It took a hard reset/clear via pressing a combination of keys. Lost my local data (which wasn't a lot lately), but thanks to the magic of webOS and the component backup and of course the synergy... most of my information has been restored. Oh the trials of the first.

    Thank you

    Hello

I propose to replace the hard drive first and see if this solves the problem - it is difficult to say if there is no problem with memory as the laptop may have turned off during the test memory because of the hard failure.

  • How can I remove the Windows Mail splash screen?

How can I remove the start of Windows Mail from my computer screen?

    Try this:

    Go to this registry key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Mail

Then, create a new DWORD entry and call NoSplash.  Then set the value to 1.

That's how it worked in OE (see http://www.insideoe.com/faqs/how.htm) and it should work this way in WinMail.

  • Cannot use the settings of brightness screen on Satellite U205

    Hello

I have a Satellite U205-S5002, and the screen is still too dark to see. There is no way to make it more bright, and even when I press [FN] + [F7] key, it is not brighten up.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

Maybe the brightness of the display has already been set at max!

Are you sure that there is no hardware malfunction?
For example in case of malfunction the brightness of the screen FL inverter breaks down.

You see no difference in brightness between the screen and the Toshiba startup splash screen after logging in windows?

About you model number; It seems that this Satellite A205 unit was designed for the American market.
All Toshiba drivers and tools need to be downloaded from the Toshiba page we!

If the faulty software causes this display problem, I would recommend refreshing drivers and tools.

  • Acrobat Reader DC version 2015.006.30096 how to disable welcome splash screen on first use?

We are a public library with a few hundred computers accessible to the public. These computers are locked so to restart any changes made by connected boss are deleted to protect the computers and the privacy of the guests. Thus, whenever the computer is used the first start using window comes up. Have been able to disable this in other versions of Acrobat, but not DC/2015. Have you tried following registry with the Customization Wizard changes:

    HKLM\Software\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\2015\FeatureLockDown\

    bUsageMeasurement

    REG_DWORD

    0

    HKLM\Software\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\2015\FeatureLockDown\cWelcomeScreen

    bShowWelcomeScreen

    REG_DWORD

    0

Also I tried AcrobatDC.admx group policy for the splash screen to the launch, disabled.

Computers are unlocked after hours to push software installed. Install 2015.006.30033 first, followed by the 2015.006.30096.msp upgrade. Then, the computers are locked again. All this is done without supervision, so it's impossible to connect in each and close the boot welcome screen as a user.

I notice the same problem when using SCCM to upgrade a desktop clients v11. I make a request the AcroRdr2015Upd1500630097_MUI.msp as part of the upgrade, and it seems that this "feature" has been added in the AcroRdr2015Upd1500630094_MUI.msp patch. Test users saw the pop up window, not read the news and then clicking, then, then until they end up in a screen asking you to sign on information. No doubt this will eventually generate calls to the help desk, so we stopped to spread it.

Some initial surveys show that, in the registry for the current user, a key of registry Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\2015\FTEDialog has a bShowInstallFTE dword = 1 created right after player DC 2015 is open for the first time and before closing the Welcome dialog box. An initial test shows that manually creating the value and set it to 0 before the upgrade seems to stop the Welcome screen.

I tried to put this value in the location of HKLM values bShowWelcomeScreen or bUsageMeasurement in the Customization Wizard, but not luck and attempted to add to the HKLU in editor package, but through SCCM installation of the software under a different account, the registry value does not end up in the currently logged on users register immediately.

I think the fix is to use Group Policy to add the registry key on all workstations before moving their

    The key is:

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\2015\FTEDialog]

    "bShowInstallFTE" = DWORD: 00000000

    Hope this helps, Denis.
