  I have problems with java.exe process remains suspended after that closing form.  If I have a an IE browser window open with two tabs, and then open two forms sessions, which creates two process java.exe.  I then close the two sessions of forms, and it leaves a java.exe suspended.  If I then close the two windows in IE browser, it removes the process java.exe.  I can reproduce this constantly.   It does not correctly as long as I don't have any other browser Windows Internet Explorer open to the time I open forms. 

  I opened a SR with Oracle Forms, but since it works fine if I don't have IE open before opening the forms, they won't help indicating that it is a question of Java.  Tried to open an SR with Java, but they will not help because we do not pay support for Java.

  It is a problem of browser/java plugin and has nothing to do with Oracle Forms.  If you open an applet in a browser, as long as the browser remains open the plugin will remain charged and the java.exe process will remain in Manager tasks.  Because the tabs in the browser are in the same browser session, it won't matter whether or not you close the tab.  The parent browser session is responsible for the java process.  Here are two of the many discussions on this subject which began in IE8 and continue today.

• Don't see how to create a system of duplication of the time of importation. Not all are copied.

  Dear users of LR,

  I thought that LR3 would act in the same way that I saw LR2.7 Act when the duplication on import. At the time, I saw a file created whenever I imported - titled 'imported Friday, July 23, 2010' for example. Yes, it does not match the structure of image shown inside LR folders but it gave me a good shot to find the image if I had to. These files were crreated on another internal hard drive. No RAID here.

  A few weeks after the passage in LR3 Finally, I looked to the specified backup file (I guess I have too much faith in backup gods Elves) and nothing on the other hard drive the folder I designated BUT the images are all loose in there, and the total number of images is about 2/3 of the total number of images imported into LR3.

  I looked closely at the place of imports (right pane) in which I make the choice and if there is a setting that will make the process a result identical to what I saw in LR2.x I am not able to see.

  Suggestions? work - arounds? Thank you, in advance, for carillon.

  This is a known issues. LR 3 puts all backups of import in a big pile of files, in contrast to LR2. Don't know if it is a bug or design change. S Thers nothing you can do, so far, aside from using a third party software to ingest.

  It is a more serious problem. I've never heard of this. If you are sure you have counted everything correctly, this is a serious bug and should be reported here.

  common questions of interest are windows 7 service pack 1 needs. also graphics intel can cause problems... When you create a new project, choose a software as the rendering engine.  If it still crashes, try other formats of media to see if they work or even crash in first.

  So I'm willing to basically... Jury rig an animation myself. And I don't have the luxury of having flash (nor the artistic skill to use it even if I hooked the dmo for a month) ANYWAY, I thought to do basically a frame-by-frame sequence, import of TIFF. I want it to be 6 seconds dv standard, long preset (if it is, what, 180 single tiff images?) And en myself, not a paid client.   You have a sequence of images which are numbered in series, for example _0001, _0002, etc. ? Or the images just to the name you want to be 1 frame each?

  If this is the first, there is a checkbox in the import dialog labeled 'Images numbered;' you select this box, then the first image in your sequence, and it will be imported as a clip with each image interpreted as an image. You may need to change the frame rate, but which is done easily by right-clicking on the clip, choosing change > interpret footage or even to change the frame rate.

  We prefer program (Edit > Preferences > General) duration of import to change the default, but I usually don't bother with that. Just import all your images, select them and go to the Clip > speed/duration. The Clip speed/duration dialog box will appear; Speed will be grayed out (since they are images is not a 'speed'), but the duration can be changed to what you want. This will apply to all selected images. You can also do it at a location of images; Simply select the tray and do the same thing.

  You can do the same thing to the images already in the sequence; Just be sure to check the box "Edit Ripple, leak Clip Shifting".

  Hi and thanks in advance for the help. My computer has very little memory, so I keep it really clean. Do just about everything with him, it is browse the web and stream media. Recently, it has been very slow, and Firefox (49.2) has suspended all the time. At first, I thought it was Firefox, and I followed all of their instructions to identify the high resource using plugins, etc. I deleted the history, ran CCleaner, etc.. Then I realized that even if I close FF I always see spikes frequent (approximately five seconds) to 100% CPU usage, and it often extends by 50% even if I don't do anything. I ran Avast and Malwarebytes and MSE - full scan with each of them and none of them found nothing. Is it possible that my computer resources is hacked and used by someone else?  As for mining bitcoin or something else?  How I understand this and stop it?  If it is little likely, what can I do to improve performance. It seems kind of ridiculous that open a document or a web page to "forever".  Even to write this post, I type, and then look at the screen, while the letters slowly appear...

  Not sure what is relevant for the problem, but I have 4MB of RAM, but the single 80 GB hard drive (hope I said that right), which only 29GB is free. Right now I am 1480 Cached, available from 1725 and ~ 320 is free, there are 69 total running processes. The only applications that are running are FF and two documents LibreOffice.  I checked a few days ago, and the system says that I don't have to defragment.

  I don't even know if all this has nothing to do with the peaks of the processor, so it's how little I know!

  I am currently evaluating lightroom to replace Apple's Aperture as is the end of LIFE. I am a professional filmmaker who made a few pictures on the side. Lightroom 6 emphasize the import of videos, unless I have clear them manually during import. I ABSOLUTELY NEED to divide probably photos and videos on various imports and paths to backup IMMEDIATELY when I put the card into the computer on the tray. This way of manual de-selection is stressful, slow and prone to error. It hates me lightroom - I love otherwise - on each import of the card.

  Is it really now way to tell lightroom to ignore the .mov files and stick to the photos? It is very difficult to believe for a professional software and unfortunately would be a dealbreaker for me.

  Would like to find a way to do it, then I would be able to commit to the ambient light for my photo needs.

  Hi GerritH,

  If you use Lightroom 6/CC, there is no way to deselect the videos, but what you can do is to change the sort order to media type and unselect all the videos at the time of importation.

  • Press "check all".
  • Sort by "media type".
  • Select all video files (select a first + press shift + select last)
  • remove the flag on a single video file (this uncheck all selected video files)
  • Press on import.

  If you use Lightroom 5 or earlier, there is a hidden option: hold down the Alt/Option key and "check all" and "Uncheck all" buttons turns in "check videos ' and 'Videos to uncheck', respectively." From there you can asily choose to imp [tro photos or video only.]

  Personally, I do not like to convert dates into strings and vice versa. I think that both arithmetic and precise the date date would perform better.

  Explanation:

  -Use the EXTRACT function to get the time. The date must be "converted" in a timestamp date because ANSI does not have the component "hour".
  -Subtract the difference of two hours from the time. This will change the interval from 2-8 to 0-6, 8-14-6-12, etc.
  -Divide by 6 and truncates the result. This will give 1 what it is from 08:00 to 13:59.59 hours.
  -Group by this result, which will all split into groups of ranges of 6 hours.

  -Now, in each group, so the component "hour": TRUNC (DT) is the date with time set to 0, DT - TRUNC (DT) is the component "hour".
  -Ordering by the component "hour", download the first date that corresponds to the first component of the time.

  The Sound class does not have a stop() method.  This is where the SoundChannel comes into play.

  Try to repair the security permissions for iTunes for Windows and the empty/corrupted after upgrade/crash iTunes library.

So each imported file have changed the time and date when I search in the finder under the "created" or "modified" column, is this normal?. There is no way to avoid this?

  Yes, you can prevent this! Go to the preferences of first and go to the media section. Uncheck "Write XMP IDS to files on import". Boom, done. First will not add his small beacon of metadata files when you import them. This isn't a huge deal for most publishers except Adobe apps could create media Cache files more than necessary if you re - use clips in other projects. Don't forget, however, anything, if you change the metadata (in the project Panel or metadata) file, it'll still change changed data for the clips.

  Cr2 are not supported by first.

  Try png or psd or tiff, and they must be in RGB.

  Hi Aneumann,

  Welcome to the Forums.

  You just need to right-click on the imported clip in the project Panel, and select new sequence of the clip. You can also go to the file menu > new > sequence and create a sequence, then drag the clips after importation, in the timeline.
