First web page...

How to publish my website in Dreamweaver cs6?

You still have commercial web hosting?  You can buy a domain name & a space on the public web server first.   When get you your web space, your host will email the necessary references login FTP to your server.  You will need this information to add to your site definition in DW.

Go to Site > new Site or manage Sites.  See screenshots.

Servers: Root directory varies by host site.  It might be htdocs / or public_html / www or / etc...  If in doubt what to use here, check with your webhost.

Click the TEST button to confirm the connection.  If all goes well, you are ready to upload files to your server.  Go to the files Panel.  Select the files in the Local view and click the arrow to the TOP to download files on the server.

  • 9.01 Firefox crashes every time when connecting to the first web page

Firefox worked normally for centuries and today began hanging whenever I open it and it attempts to connect to a web page. I tried to reinstall, but I was told that it was unable to copy because the element 'libnspr4.dylib' is in use (even if I force - quit the application). I then Firefox to the trash in order to reinstall it and still had the same problem. Restarted the computer and the application several times; tried to start in safe mode, all to nothing does not.

Under the direction of add: The problem occurs with any Web page; before I reinstalled it, it would happen when I tried to 'connection '.... "for any web page. Now that I have reinstalled it, it tries to connect to the home page of Firefox on launch and is automatically suspended.

-Very well, as OP does not answer you, I'd try to find a solution to this problem. I do not use Cisco AnyConnect. I'm having exactly the same problem with the same details of system that OP provided.

  • Firefox 7 takes a long time to load the first web page.

After I have connected to my Windows XP SP3 laptop, it must time for Windows to finish loading and explorer.exe to become sensitive and let the start menu.

Once the start menu works, I start Firefox, which opens, and it loads the tabs that were last open, which is correct, but it is there and turns his wheels for about 2 minutes, doing nothing except showing the hour glass icon and research as it tries to load the Web page, but no status messages appear in the status bar.

Why does it is spinning its wheels and do nothing so long?

  • Need help to finalize the first Web page...

Hi - I'm new to dreamweaver and have managed to find something out, but not others.

I'm building a site with several pages, but I want to get this first page completely ready to go before others (because I want to use as a template on their part).

I have attached a sample image of what I want the site look like. It's pretty close.

    Website Design Sample Image.jpg

    I have questions:

The menu at the top of the image bar isn't straight deplaying.  It looks different in Design view, live view and overview.  I tried two different ways (such as columns and a horizontal list)- but it is not filled on the entire width of the page.

I also have trouble getting the 3 columns to be the same height - perhaps because I have padding on some and not on others?

I do not know how to show you what I have at the moment - but here's a screen capture zoom.  (looks like small - but only because I have a zoom out to get it all).

Also - is there a way to get rid of the very small gap above the header: MICAHEL GABRIEL?

And is it possible to add a shadow to the text of the header and menu?

    Thank you!

#1 menu bar '... is not filled on the entire width of the page." They rarely do.  Width of the menu is driven by the amount of content it has, how much CSS & padding margins you put between the links and the text sizes people use in their browsers.

#2 "having trouble getting the 3 columns have the same height."   Also not surprising given that the height of the div is based entirely on the content.  More content = more long division.  Less content = shorter divisions.   Don't sweat the little things.  No one cares if a column is longer than the others.

#3 'is there a way to get rid of the very small gap above the header?" Yes. Margins and padding on your body and headers (h1, h2, h3, p) to zero.  Or use the Reset CSS method to remove browser default margins & padding of elements on the page.

  • Web pages open to smaller than max

First web page better. So, if I click on a link, any next page opens in less than full screen. I want all the pages to open better. Using Win 7 and Firefox 30.0 (I only noticed this problem with versions of current or recent FF). Thank you

You can check the problems caused by a corrupt localstore.rdf file.

  • Redirect to a Web page of the model

I would like to automatically redirect on one Web page to another. The problem is that the first Web page was created and a model has been applied, so now when I try to "Insert/HTML/Head Tags/Refresh" Dreamweaver cannot apply the update because the model has locked the cephalic region. How can I automatically redirect from a Web page that has a nonmodifiable head, or how to make the head region of the editable template so that a redirect to 'Refresh' can be added to the head tag?

the title of the document is editable?
Insert the meta refresh, after the title closing and before closing
    Comment by model.

  • I can not access the first 2 inches below the toolbar of any web page. This only happens with firefox. What I can do.

Let's say I go to the homepage of Yahoo!. The bar is located on the top. When I use my mouse to click inside to let know that I want to type something, nothing happens. It does not seem to register that there is a part on the accessible page. This only happens with firefox and only on the first 2 inches on the web page. It also happens on any web page. I have all my updates and I also uninstalled and reinstalled. Don't know what else to do. No one I know seems to have an idea what is happening. I had a break for about a month, and then she came back.

        Baffled

The extension of the Yahoo! toolbar and the extension of Babylon have been reported to cause a problem like that. Disable or uninstall the modules.

  • Whenever I open a Web page, the Web of Yahoo page opens first

    Hello

It's probably something really basic like I have no idea how the technology works, but whenever I opened a new Web page, the general YAHOO open first and its very annoying! Please someone know how to fix this?

    Thank you
    Andrea

    Hello

    What do you mean exactly?
Maybe you have set Yahoo as homepage site. In the properties of the browser, you can change this option.

By the way: you have this problem on Internet Explorer or Firefox? You should also test a different browser.

  • My Web page is not displayed correctly. Its my first time using DW and I do not know what Ive done wrong.

In fact, its my first website that I created and used Dreamweaver for. I got for about 4 days now, and I am trying to download my Web page to my host.

If you click on my site: http://www.logobotix.com you will see that everything which displays text - and very small businesses. The site isn't like that at all. I have a logo at the top, there are a lot of colors and its neater.

When I downloaded on my public_html folder, I the file index.html directly in the public folder, then a sub folder called "images".

I have no idea how to make it work! Help, please.

Small text, is because you have told the browser to use 5pt font size in the body,td,th css declaration which is in the head section your pages code.(that's really small even for print)

pt size is for print you need to use px, em or %. I would go with px because its easier to understand. Hike your font-size up to at least 11px.

Also it appears you have not uploaded your css 'style.css' file to the server (see link below) as it can't be found. You need to upload that in its folder with the name of 'css'

    http://www.logobotix.com/css/style.css

Try those amends and see what happens

  • Firefox does not open in full screen on the task bar and I have to go over it to see the web page.

Firefox does not open in full screen on the task bar and I have to go over it to see the web page.

Firefox window is sometimes "off screen" somehow. Often, you can force it to appear on the screen by right clicking on the thumbnail image just above the taskbar and choose expand. Does it work?

A possible cause for this is that the file that stores the positions and sizes of window is corrupt. You can delete this file and Firefox will return to standard window resizing.

#1 method: If you can get a zoomed window:

Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button. This should launch a new window that lists the various files and folders in Windows Explorer.

Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:

    • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
    • (menu bar) File > Exit

Pause while Firefox finishing its cleanup, then rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.

Launch Firefox back up again. Windows normally appear again?

#2 method: If you can not get a Firefox window for all:

Close Firefox by right clicking the icon in the taskbar > close all windows.

Using the Run dialog box (windows key + R) or the start search bar menu type or paste the following and press Enter to drill down to the profiles folder:

    %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

Here you can see a folder - in this case, double-click that - or more than one case - in this case, double-click on in what looks like the most recently updated.

Scroll down and rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.

Launch Firefox back up again. Windows normally appear again?

Then, to re - light bars, you can use one of the following methods to view the list of the toolbar, and then select the desired bars it:

To activate the menu bar, toolbar bookmarks or other bars, click it in the list.

  • Printing a Web page to a .pdf or .xps file generates a file but it is empty. How can I fix it? I have Firefox 40.0 on a new computer laptop for Windows 10

When I print a Web page to a .pdf or .xps file, it creates a new file, but file Explorer says it's 0 KB in size. These .pdf files will open, but they are white - the only thing that appears is the outline of a page, without anything in the outline. When I print an .xps file, File Explorer shows that it contains 0 KB. When I try to open it, I get a message saying that the XPS Viewer cannot open the file. These things just started for me a few days after I installed Firefox 40.0 on a new computer laptop of Toshiba Satellite with 10 Home Windows operating system. I have the latest version of Flash Player (in fact, I just tried redownloading and reinstalling the current version; that does not solve the problem). I tried to change the format by default to print to .pdf file, but that has not solved the problem. I contacted the chat Windows support site; They told me that it was not a Windows problem. Is this a Firefox problem? If so, you can tell me how to solve the problem, please?

    Thank you

First of all, try to disable the extensions to see if that helps this, then try safe mode.
