• Back to text control slider

  I have a VI in which a user will be running a test and enter a serial number of each series.  It is a text for the serial number control, and a button to start the test.  What I want to happen is for the user to enter the serial number and then press on enter, which would be piloted and then place the cursor in the field serial number for the next test.  I don't know how to do this, however.  I tried to adjust the scope of discussion in the key to the back button navigation, but this requires the user to press ENTER twice, and then place the cursor in the serial number field.  I tried to adjust the field toggle button and the area of the focus on the text of both return control, and was done than I expected, but only the first to - when the cursor returned to the field of serial number this action would not repeat when a new number has been specified.

  Looks like there should be an easier way to do it, but I'm not sure.  I'll try to get an example of what I am trying to downloaded, but for now, the rest of the VI is a bit of a mess and I want to extract only the relevant items.

  Here is an example with a structure of the event.  The Boolean value is set to turn on/off when you press return, and the serial number string is configured to update as you type.  I just assumed you wanted to control erased between trials, if not remove both wrote to the Value property (the first is just to make sure that the value is read before it is blank).

  When I try to open a custom control that I saved, I get an error message:

  «Unable to display the Panel front VI.» Façade of the VI has been deleted ".

  Here's what I did:

  -Created a new control

  -Put a classic single blade

  -Change indicator

  -Digital display

  -Right click and select 'replace' on the digital display and replace it with a digital single from style classsic

  -Change the background/foreground colors

  -Register the control

  I tried a few times and get the same result every time. It seems to be replacing the digital display, which causes this behavior. Any ideas?

  I guess you mean to animate text with a slider.

  Add a slider (options for expressions) to your text layer and then add this expression in your Source text:

  x = Math.Floor (effect ("Slider Control") ("Slider"));

  x+" %"

  If the amount of your max value is set, then by creating the cursor to drive the percentage of this number requires a few simple calculations.

  There are several ways to do so.

  The slider is unlimited, so you can define OTHER rules in your expression, but to keep it simple:

  You must multiply your maximum value of your "perc."

  However, we want to transform the number 'perc' in a fraction.

  A simple way is to divide the amount of cursor by 100.

  Multiply your max value with the result of your cursor (/ 100) and you have your percentage.

  (* You can use fractional numbers to animate instead of this, but the cursor is easier to control in this way.)

• side sliding control window disappears while I'm working on Costco photobook; cannot disconnect and make sure that my book is properly registered. 80 pages - help!

  Design/installation a book of 100 pages photo on the Costco website. Everything worked well today, although I lost about 18 pages of work yesterday, when the webpage hiccupped. The problem now is that the disconnection is at the top of the Web page, and I can't get there because there is no control slide on the right side of the window.   On MacOS X 10.9 (Mavericks) Firefox relies on the system setting of the operating system for the scroll bar. Please see this thread for how to change system setting: why the roll bars quickly disappear in firefox on OS x 10.9?

• Volume slider is reset to zero at the start.

  I have a race HPE - 477c 64 bit Win 7. whenever I restart my PC, the volume control slider (Realtek High definition Audio Mixer) is zero.   After re-booting, I adjust the volumn cursor at halfway, but next time I reload is at a minimum.  Y at - it a fix for this?

  It's weird. I don't think I've seen this problem before. Obviously some audio software evolves your volume at startup or Windows is not "remember" where you set before closing. You can try to update to the latest driver from Realtek audio driver. Here is a link to their download site:

  Select "High Definition Audio Codecs", accept the agreement and then download and install the driver for your operating system.

  missing volume control

  volume control was gone. I tried to go into my control panel to use it, but I get an error that says:

  I have lost my Windows XP disc in a move and can't reinstall the file to a disk, how to fix this?

  When you use certain features sounds and Audio devices, you see a message like this:

  Windows cannot display the control of volume on the taskbar because the Volume control program has not been installed. To install it use Add/Remove programs in Control Panel.

  It seems that the c:\windows\system32\sndvol32.exe file is missing.

  This may occur if your antivirus/antimalware application thinks the file is suspicious and quarantines (effectively delete) the file.  You can replace the missing file with a backup copy of the file that is in another folder on your system.

  Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

  Assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive...

  We know that XP keeps copies of critical system files in the following folder:

  c:\Windows\System32\dllcache

  Using the Explorer, search for or navigate to the following folder:

  c:\Windows\System32\dllcache

  Locate the sndvol32.exe file, right-click, choose copy (it copies the file to the Windows Clipboard).

  If your Solution Explorer settings are not set to display file extensions, you will see only a file called 'sndvol32' which has an icon that looks like to the volume control slider (this is the file you need).

  If the file is missing in the dllcache folder, look for a copy of the file in this folder:

  c:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386

  Browsing from a level in the following folder:

  c:\Windows\System32

  Right-click on an empty area in the window of c:\windows\system32 and choose Paste to paste in the missing file where it belongs.

  Answered in the affirmative if invited to replace the existing file.

  Now try your features sounds and Audio devices.

  Note that run sfc/scannow will not replace the missing file because it is not this that sfc/scannow does.

• Strange location of volume control window

  Usually, when click on the systray icon volume control slider window appears very close the systray.

  In my windows volume slider window is displayed in the center of the screen.

  How to change this when it supposed to be back?

  I do an app in Cascades (Momentics C + c++ / QML) who, when a button is pressed, play a selected sound effect in a menu drop-down.

  For this I need a volume control slider to set the volume of the media unit, as in the app volume control slider music BlackBerry.

  But I don't know how I'm supposed to get this working in stunts. I know how to get a cursor in the app and use it to change a value, but cannot get it to change the volume of the device.

  Any ideas?

  In the example it is the id given to the controller attached you wrote this correctly, i.e.

  I've traveled around a solution to this, but I had no chance at all.

  I use Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 and I find that the volume control seems to have a mind of your own.  After starting my computer, sometimes the sound is muted.  If I try to increase the volume using the volume control slider, Windows 7 he dragged down once again and I am unable to do anything unless I reboot and get lucky he did not yet.

  There are also times where it will be repeated enough randomly while I have a game open or I play music or just about anything else.  Once it does, it is impossible for me to put my levels sound back as they were, without having to reboot.

  Specifications of the PC:

  Intel Q6600 @ 2.4 ghz.
  Motherboard P5KC with 4 GB of RAM.
  Creative X - Fi fidelity.

  I tried right click on the volume control, go to the sounds-> Communications tab and selecting 'doing nothing '.  I tried to update to the latest drivers available for my sound card, directly from the creative support site.

  I don't know what else to do.  It is extremely frustrating to have to reboot unnecessarily several times a day because of this problem.  I googled for answers and saw that there are other people who have similar problems, but they seem to use a different material than I am, and there is not a lot of information circulate another that "update your drivers", which did nothing for me.

  Could someone please recommend anything else I can try?

  You guys are going to be shocked but - after I had all the settings and the tinkers pilot and got no where - I UNPLUGGED my wireless mouse and used the pad - I had to order my volume - up and down immediately.  Something with the mouse is in conflict with the sound program.  Maybe my wheel mouse or key has been blocked causing an automatic decline or increase - not sure.  For me, the mouse was the culprit - good luck!

  So I have an audio amplitude being pickwhipped in my sleeve, and I need to smooth out them. But I made it through this slide switch, need I don't have expressions on the original audio amplitude. How can I do this (associate a fluid expression with another expression)? Can I somehow automatic keyframes importation, if it is possible?

  Hi, I'm working on a black and white colorization project video. I have 25 compositions that have 5 or more in adjustment layers with scale effect colors and each 1-5 layer masks on it.

  I want to link all adjustment layers with the same effect of each composition from a just publication. For example I have adjustment layer for hair or a suite which must bee of same color in all 25 precomps, and when I want to change the color of hair or a suite, to spend it comes a model and do not have true all 25.

  I tried copy property links layer technique but no luck it do not work but it applies to the whole layer and not simply masked aria.

  Any help please.

  You can attach controllers to layer in other compositions by naming the compositions. An expression controlling another layer in the same composition would be initially thisComp.layer ("layer 1"). If the layer that you want to control was in another publication the term would begin to comp("Comp_1").layer {"layer 1").} You can link the layers of a model of layers in another comp, by separating the timelines and then just using the Pickwhip to drag from one property to another. If you have configured a layer in your master comp with a bunch of controllers effects you can lock the effect controls panel, and then use the Pickwhip do to drag the property that you want to control to the controller. This would give you something like this: comp("Main Comp") .layer ("controller") .effect ("Slider Control") ("Slider")

  If you do a lot of them it's a really good idea to implement a good naming convention.

  I try CC. My usual version is CS5.5.  Am I missing something, or have the scroll wheel and completely missing the transport controls slider?

  Yes they have - I remember finding this odd at first, but I have not missed them in particular. Arrow keys and J-K-l do the work for me
