Flag 23: Deleted speakers Sound Settings

Hello!

I'm trying to get a Bluetooth headset to work with my PC desktop and accidentally deleted the internal speakers of the sound settings menu. How can I reinstall and how do I get the headset to work? They were matched and appear in the settings menu of the sound, but are listed as "disconnected", even if Device Manager indicates that they are there and properly installed.

Thank you!

Hello @lpresber,

I understand that you've accidentally deleted your speakers to your system. I would recommend that you go to your devices and unintall the Audio Driver Manager, you have installed.

!!! IMPORTANT: DO NOT REMOVE THE DRIVER WHEN PROMPTED!

Once you have uninstalled the driver restart your computer and your operating system must find and reinstall it.

I hope this helps. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

    Concerning

  • Sound problems on computer, cannot change the sound settings

I had a long-standing problem in the audio settings of the Control Panel on Windows 7 where I can't change settings, configure anything or especially toggle of the devices. The options are there, but they have no effect when selected. Recently, I tried to connect my laptop to a TV, and as I could not set as the default audio device, I finally decided to try to fix things. I deleted and reinstalled the software Realtek my laptop and everything he has done is completely turn off my speakers, and all attempts to reactivate failed them. The unit displays in the control panel as a default active device, but claims of the taskbar that there are no speakers is connected, and if I click to set up the Realtek Audio, I have the same situation that before where absolutely nothing is happening.

I tried troubleshooting sound problems, and all I get is the statement that an audio device is disabled, no attempt to fix or any option to enable. Apart from a system restore, that in general, I try to avoid, I feel that I have tried everything I can think of to fix this and only managed to make it worse. No help available would be appreciated to receive my laptop back to a functioning State.

Model is a fickle Dell XPS L501X, if this is any help.

I tried both of these methods several times without success, but since I found a result to this problem online. (Here: http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f217/solved-no-sound-the-unsolvable-problem-take-the-challenge-594113.html)

I will stick also the solution here should someone stumbles on this page in the future trying to solve the same problem:

Hi, go to start search and type cmd search will return the click right on cmd.exe and select "run as Administrator" at the prompt, type: -.

    Press enter, and then type:

Press enter, and then restart your computer

Thanks for the help though, Yann!

  • Satellite M100 - no speakers sound thorugh after BIOS update

    Hi all

I have satelite M100 PSMAAA-02006 with XP. I just updated the Bios on V3.0. Speakers do not work after update but the audio jack works so with headphones I can listen to but not through Laptop speakers and the keys to media on top of keyboard play, pause, stop, next, back, etc. homepage react too much.

Someone knows the solution to this issue. Or is it possible to get the old BIOS? Although I not sure aboutt previous version.

need quick help. Please answer as soon as possible.

    Thanks & best regards...

    Hi Julie,.

I doubt that this was due the update of the BIOS. Is that what you have loaded default settings after updating the BIOS?
Have you chosen the correct BIOS update?

Normally you can hear the sound on the speakers laptop if you disconnect the headset. Make sure that the sound is not muted, you can do this with the FN + ESC key combination.

About the multimedia keys, I would recommend reinstallation of Toshiba common Modules. You can find it on the Toshiba site.

  • Re: C55D-A Satellite - 15 H speakers sound like transistor radio

Just got my new laptop: * SATELLITE C55D-A-15 H *.

The sound coming from the speakers is * horrible *.
It's like an old 1960s transistor radio.

According to the specifics of this particular model, the sound system must be by Realtek, but instead it's by IDT Audio. It comes with its SDR, which apparently "increases in volume, low valuation and improves the definition" and is supposed to give "dialogue bass and clear deep and rich.

    This is absolute nonsense.
There is virtually no bass and the _sound is very tinny_.

I tried to disable the program from his DTS and just use the portable sound system, but it cannot be resolved somehow. There are improvements _no tab in the properties_ speakers.

Furthermore, the sound is good with headphones, but I also want to be able to have a decent sound from the speakers.

    Can someone please help?
    Thank you.

Problem is that your model of laptop only has small stereo speakers and sound quality isn't very good. It is the same on my U940 satellite that I use in the office. The sound quality is very poor, but I don't expect a few fabulous sound quality like on my machine at home with Harman/kardon speakers.

Your machine is not a kind of multimedia machine and you can not expect a high sound quality.
Sorry but there is nothing you can do about it. You can try to change some settings. Try to change the equalizer values in the drive that you are using. Maybe this will help a little, but...

When you use the laptop at home solution can be wireless headphones or external speakers.

  • Satellite M60: Acoustic bass on helmet (perfect on the speakers sound)

Hi, a few weeks ago I received my new M60 Satellite.
Sound on computer speakers is high (Harman/Kardon) but is it possible there is a problem with the mini jack for headphones?
Sound through the output headphone is very week and I don't know how to improve it.
I have often used my previous laptop to watch movies on my TV (S-video + mini-jack to its AV receiver). Sound was great... but now when I connect my AV receiver (or headphone) sound is very low...
    Who could help me?

-J' tried different headphones (which works fine on other laptops)
-I know the wheel of sound level in front of the laptop :-)
-J' tried the volume control tool in Control Panel

    Hi Mark

Have you checked the headphone settings in the sound and Audio devices?
Please go to control panel - sounds and Audio devices. On the Volume tab, you will find the Advanced button. Press the key.
You will find the volume controls. Please check if all orders are set to high.
    Hope's help.

    Best regards

  • Using new speakers sound problems

I just got some new speakers with Subwoofer for my computer. They had worked very well and they work very well on my laptop but now all the music and talk sounds like it is in a theater of the computer. I tried to find some settings that fix it but can't. Help someone?

    Hi Jeanne,

Thank you for the information. When would you like to help you, please answer the following.

    1. What is the brand and model of the speakers?

    2. what player you use to play the sound file?

If you use Windows Media Player, see the information at the following link.

  • My internal speakers sound terrible?

I just buy my MacBook Pro (mid-2012) yesterday and something so expensive, my speakers are downright awful. I must admit that my musical knowledge is adequate (to not kill me if I use a little evil) but it feels like there is no bass or treble. They sound just so "hollow" If you know what I mean. When I plug the apple earbuds, they sound a lot and even on my audio computer Dell laptop for £300 sounds good (well, certainly much better than my current experience). Is this a common problem or is it just me?

Audio feels like I'm listening through them terribly cheap, really crap headphones (you know the ones you get with android phones)

    Hello

Yes I heard there was a problem on some of the new MacBook Pro, you can try pressing ⌘⌥2 (Command-Option-2) and it will bring up the equalizer. When you open go to the side where you see "pre-amp". If it isn't already, click on the box that says on and then turn it to the top. It might be useful it might not.

    Try the following:

It was the first thing I tried, it sets here's how (SURE FIRE WAY TO GET RID OF IT. FATIGUE OF FOUILLER OF POSITIONS USELESS FOR UNDERSTANDING THIS? HERE'S THE LEGITIMATE SOLUTION!)

    Open firefox.

go to settings > Options > search

    Uncheck each search engine

change the 'default search engine' for the engine of your choice and the closing of firefox.

then go to start > run > regedit

Click on search and type 'yahoo' it will take you to the folder that contains the registry for "yahoo" deletes the entire file.

    Restart firefox.

Check that this has worked, (you may need to reset the "default search engine" again.)

  • Satellite A300 and Win7 - strange problem with card speakers\sound

    Hi all
    I work on one - A300-1MO with win 7 ultimate 32 bit

In the last few days (since I installed the Bluetooth driver but I don't think that it's important), sound card and the speakers of the laptop, go to be dumb to be active, sometimes in large volume.

It bothers me a lot because my computer is noises while I'm in classes (from apps running\web sites etc.). I've almost been hunted class several times because of this.

I tried the sound card on the console of windows and the application of the sound card of inhibition, it doesn't help.

    I'd appreciate any help.

    Thanks a bunch
    Return on investment.

    Hello

Have you tried to reinstall / update the sound card driver?
I think that this should be the first step you should try.

The laptop uses a Realtek audio chip.
Visit the Realtek page to get the latest Realtek audio driver.
Remove the old audio driver installed and after reboot new try the audio downloaded Realtek driver.

    Welcome & good luck

P/S, please help it's driving me crazy, lol

    Hello

One thing that may help is the following: If this option is available depends on the IDT pilot.

Do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select "playback devices".  Left click the device once to highlight default (it is usually 'speakers & headphones') and then click the properties button.  Click the enhancements tab and put a check mark in the box "Loudness equalization.  Click on apply to save the changes and then click OK in all other windows and see if allowed at all.

    Kind regards
