Re: C55D-A Satellite - 15 H speakers sound like transistor radio

Just got my new laptop: * SATELLITE C55D-A-15 H *.

The sound coming from the speakers is * horrible *.
It's like an old 1960s transistor radio.

According to the specifics of this particular model, the sound system must be by Realtek, but instead it's by IDT Audio. It comes with its SDR, which apparently "increases in volume, low valuation and improves the definition" and is supposed to give "dialogue bass and clear deep and rich.

This is absolute nonsense.
There is virtually no bass and the _sound is very tinny_.

I tried to disable the program from his DTS and just use the portable sound system, but it cannot be resolved somehow. There are improvements _no tab in the properties_ speakers.

Furthermore, the sound is good with headphones, but I also want to be able to have a decent sound from the speakers.

Can someone please help?
Thank you.

Problem is that your model of laptop only has small stereo speakers and sound quality isn't very good. It is the same on my U940 satellite that I use in the office. The sound quality is very poor, but I don't expect a few fabulous sound quality like on my machine at home with Harman/kardon speakers.

Your machine is not a kind of multimedia machine and you can not expect a high sound quality.
Sorry but there is nothing you can do about it. You can try to change some settings. Try to change the equalizer values in the drive that you are using. Maybe this will help a little, but...

When you use the laptop at home solution can be wireless headphones or external speakers.

  • Satellite M100 - no speakers sound thorugh after BIOS update

    Hi all

I have satelite M100 PSMAAA-02006 with XP. I just updated the Bios on V3.0. Speakers do not work after update but the audio jack works so with headphones I can listen to but not through Laptop speakers and the keys to media on top of keyboard play, pause, stop, next, back, etc. homepage react too much.

Someone knows the solution to this issue. Or is it possible to get the old BIOS? Although I not sure aboutt previous version.

need quick help. Please answer as soon as possible.

    Thanks & best regards...

    Hi Julie,.

I doubt that this was due the update of the BIOS. Is that what you have loaded default settings after updating the BIOS?
Have you chosen the correct BIOS update?

Normally you can hear the sound on the speakers laptop if you disconnect the headset. Make sure that the sound is not muted, you can do this with the FN + ESC key combination.

About the multimedia keys, I would recommend reinstallation of Toshiba common Modules. You can find it on the Toshiba site.

  • Satellite Pro A60: strange sound coming from speakers

    Hello.

My brother has a Toshiba Satellite Pro A60 - my old laptop. However, it has a strange sound question. I wiped it a few months back, and the sound worked fine. However, after a week or two he suddenly started to sound like the speakers were blown out.

I made the assumption that stakeholders were indeed blown and connected to external speakers - but they made the same noise! I was wondering, this sounds like a card his fries, or a drivers/software error?

If it is a mistake to sound card, the sound card can be changed?

    Hello

without changing the card its couldn t, it s on the motherboard and if you want to Exchange, you must exchange the motherboard together.

First question: did you always guaranteed on this machine?

    Then my suggestion:

Back up the data on the machine, the recover with the recovery CD and then the noise should be gone. If not, and if you still have warranty on this machine, so it would be better to bring the machine to a service partner for a checkup of material.

Give some feedback if you have any additional questions.

    Welcome them

  • Satellite L300 play any sound on my speakers

my laptop is not playing a sound on my speakers even if my laptop says it works fine, I get the sound with headphones, but not without them in, can someone help me please?

    Thank you very much

    Martin.

    Hello

    Sounds like speaker issue.
What cell phone do you have exactly?
Have you tried reinstalling the audio driver?

You have a Realtek HD audio Manager in the control panel?
If Yes, check the advanced options in the upper right corner.

  • Satellite Pro P100 - no sound

    Hello.

I have a Satellite Pro P100, the sound worked fine for the past 1½ years, but suddenly he disappeared.
When windows all seem to be in order, but no sound out of speakers.

Material can I cut my speakers?

Oh, btw, I tried to plug in a headset, they have been too silent.

    Thank you

    Wolfgarnet

    Hello

Did you check if mute is not activated?
You can turn on or off the mute using the FN + ESC.

You can also check this-> sound control panel

More I recommend the Device Manager if some yellow exclamation points are visible near the sound card.
An audio driver update would be too good.

  • Satellite A350-13D PSAL6E; sound rattles

    Hello

My Satellite A350-13D (bought in July ' 09) makes a strange clicking off the speakers sound.
It is intermittent and it looks static interference or when the HARD drive is reading or writing. Someone at - it an idea before I go make return to the workshop for repair (maye a new driver/bios?)

    Thank you
    John

    Hello

Hmm. Pensiez_ you that the HARD disk emits the sound treble?
That s wired because it would mean something would be well wrung out with HARD drive and this means that you should backup your data if you have important files on the HARD drive. In the worst cases could die your HARD drive and you will lose all data on the HARD drive

  • Noise problem Satellite L300 C21 external Sound

    Hello everyone,

    I have a Satellite L300 C21.

It's been eight months now. But I experienced some "special effects":
When I plug the laptop through my stereo receiver headphone output, I have great sound.
It is perhaps a matter of configuration.

But when I plug - off the adaptor, the noise disappears.
    Running "sur-accu" is very good.

    All solutions?
    Your Ralph

    > When I plug the laptop through my stereo receiver headphone output, I have great sound.

    > But when I plug - off the adaptor, the noise disappears.

    Hello

Perhaps this noise is affected by the main stream sounds like a problem with the Earth or something like that.
Some guy in the internet have recommended use of 3 power cord cable and adapter
In most cases, this could eliminate these noises.

I think you should get in touch with ASP in your country. Maybe guys might provide you with another power adapter cable

  • Satellite C665-p5010 - no sound

I have Toshiba Satellite c665-p5010, after installing the Audio driver, I can't hear the sound...

The Audio driver is not installed correctly... .and I can't uninstall the Realtek Audio driver which is installed...

Can you please tell me the right Audio driver for my laptop... I had installed Xp SP2 on my laptop.

    Hello

    > Audio driver is not installed properly... .and I can't uninstall the Realtek Audio driver which is installed...

What card his cell phone does support?
Check in the Device Manager in audio, video, and game controllers

    Is there a yellow exclamation?
Did you check if the sound is not muted?

I googled a bit, an it seems that the laptop belongs to the Asian series of Toshiba.
    I found the drivers here:
    http://www.Toshiba-India.com/laptop/DriversDetails.aspx?product=notebook%20Computer&se ries = Satellite & model = C665 & cat = Sound & os = 0

It seems that various models support different sound chips so its important to know what sound chip this laptop supports.

Moreover if just the audio driver has been installed, then the Device Manager may not contain no yellow exclamation or unknown devices.

By the way: you can uninstall the audio driver in Device Manager

  • Logitech Z-10 for a Satellite A210-12U speakers reviews

I intend to get some speakers for my speakers for an A210-12U, and currently the Logitech Z-10 speakers seem like a great choice.
I was wondering if someone here had an experince (good or bad) with these speakers on a similar notebook or could give me other recommendations for speakers.

    Thank you.

    Hello

I m not an owner of Logitech Z - 10 speakers, but I read a few tests and suggestions on various Web sites.

    The speakers are really good.

The speaker system has got 5 of 5 points in machining quality and sound.
4 of 5 points is assigned to reliability.

So it s looks like a good choice

  • Satellite A200 - 14 d sounds random beeps

    Hi all

My Toshiba Satellite a200 - 14 d sounds a strong tone, randomly, once almost weekly or every 2 weeks.

Sometimes while I'm working, or even when it is idle.

It appears to be either the motherboard DVD ROM. I think it is the CPU, but I don't know about you, it always surprises me.

    Any suggestions or advice?

    Thanks in advance!

    Kind regards

    Hello

I talked to several technicians of laptop on his similar problems, but it is really not easy to say why these beeps appear.

All the guys who mean everything first it of important to recovery of the laptop with the recovery CD to see if its hardware or software related issue.
If the same tone appears after the installation of the new portable equipment could malfunctions.

But as I said above, it might be
So in my opinion the laptop must be verified by a Toshiba ASP because these beeps are highly unusual.
Your guarantee seems to be valid. That is why everything has to be done for free!

  • Satellite C660-117 - crackling sound at startup

    Hello

I recently started having problems with the sound on my laptop which is 5 months old.

It emits a crackling sound at startup and also during video playback, it sometimes looks like interference and is more sensitive to the higher sounds.
I have uninstalled/reinstalled drivers and devices audio, but in vain.

The sound is the same when read by aswell TV or a helmet.

Is this sounds like a trip to the store where I bought it is necessary that its still under warranty?

    Hey Buddy,

You use the version preinstalled Windows from Toshiba or you have installed your own version?

Generally speaking everything you tried is correct, and the only option you have is to find your computer laptop initial configuration using Toshiba recovery disc. The drive will restore the original settings of the box with all the drivers and tools in order to have the same settings as you bought the laptop.

If this still doesn t work you should contact an authorized service provider because it looks like a hardware malfunction, but it s covered by warranty ;)

  • Satellite X 200 - strange sounds, close the cooler

I have this x 200 for over a year now and for the last 10 days, I hear strange noises near the cooler which is located on the lower side right (the cooler in the cooler of the DVD).

I don't know how to open this workbook for maybe clean the fan or Exchange it. It looks like a guide to disassemble for this machine.

    Thank you

Sounds like the fan needs to be replaced.

Is the system under warranty? I would send it to an ASP for repair. The X 200 is a complicated design and can be difficult/risky to pull out by the owners.

Help!
