  I did a windows vista upward from some directories of laptop for my ReadyNas Storeage via the network.  The backup is is about 8 times before the hard drive on the laptop crashed.  We are unable to recover the HARD disk for thought I would recover from the laptop.

  Here's the problem:

  I use Windows Restore - Advanced Restore to try to recover from the previous backup.  After some fiddling, I am able to see that the program of restoring Windows backup sets.  I'm trying to restore all files to their original location.  The restoration done some preparatory work and then get the error message: Restore did not complete successfully. Error code: 0x8100001A

  Here is what I tried:

  (1) find the original Mediaid.bin file and copy it to the root.
  (2) run the following process to rebuild the mediaid. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/itprovistaapps/thread/56f5ed9b-8722-4fa8-b1e9-9c17d7132feb.
  (3) have successfully used windows Explorer to extract a single file.  (backup stuff windows are stored in zip files).  Problem, this only works for files below a certain size because I don't know how to merge files voluminous back.
  (4) copied the backup set off the ReadyNas to a USB to load from there.  It worked only when the USB, I have shared on the network.
  (5) have shot a question at JustAnswers, but they have not as well.
  (6) tried to restore a previous backup set but also failed with the same error message.

  Any help would be welcome.

  "could not be read" means that you do not WRITE permission for the Destination folder that you are trying to import the files in.

  To resolve this problem, you can either

  1. change the Destination folder to another folder that has the WRITE permission; OR
  2. change the permissions on the Destination folder for the WRITE permission

  You can view, disable and usually remove extensions on page modules. Either:

  Thanks for the replies, I managed to solve this problem by uninstalling the Philips Songbird software provided with the unit and using XP and WMP Device Manager.  Of course, a conflict between the supplied software and my pc system.

  1. go in topic: addons

  2. make sure that "Shockwave for Director" is present

  3. look for "Mozilla ActiveX Control and Support of plugins"

  It worked for me to get stuff flash shockwave works again.

  Edit: shockwave flash worked perfectly for me with my old together until I updated to 13, so it is certainly the issue of Mozilla, and after finding this solution, I'm sure of it.

  • Check now if your camera is to 9.1 or higher
    • Devices supported by Adobe Camera Raw
  • If requires 9.2 or later, then you should switch to PS CC or use the dng converter

  Flash does not work on some web sites. I never had a problem before with flash on FF in the nearly 15 years that I've used FF. Recently it has stopped working for some reason any and on some flash sites does not, NHL.com and site of kid Herotopia being just two of them. I updated FF, Adobe flash, the reinstalled version them repeatedly deleted all the files that have been stored on my laptop; that is, profiles, saved favorite nothing that I could find in user accounts and in the local app, low local and roaming data folders. What is strange, is that I can't set the local storage for flash either. When I visit the Adobe site to view the Adobe Flash Player Settings Manager I can move the scroll bar, but cannot check the: allow third-party flash content to store data on your computer. I can't do it on a Web site where the flash does not work. When I try and it changed on any site that it goes back to zero. Not sure if it is a part of the problem. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script ends. "sometimes when I would buy on Macy's.com. This is the only site that it happened.
  I know I have only little technical knowledge, but I have tried to figure this out for a few days and do not know what is happening. The only thing I can think is that I somewhere files corrupted causing this problem. I have just updated to Windows 8.1 tonight in the hope that can help, but nothing helped. I would be very disappointing if I couldn't use FF or must go back using Chrome and FF.

  I don't think that SuperFetch is not activated is your problem. Two things you can try are nondestructive a "clean boot" and a "repair installation".
