How to edit clips from a DVD

Take some clips from a dvd and put it in the computer

Is it possible to take clips from a dvd I made and back to the computer?

You can use Windows Explorer to copy/paste the content of the DVD to your hard drive and play it from there.

    1. What is the operating system installed on your computer?

    2. what version of Movie maker are you using?

I suggest that you copy the video from the CD on the hard drive of the computer and then import it to create DVDs. Browse the CD and locate the video, copy it to your disk (computer) hard, and then try to import.

  • How to open PDF from a dvd

My laptop is a HP Pavilion dv6.  How can I access a pdf of a lesson (s) purchased dvd guitar? It is said when I insert dvd my computor will show me how.  I put in the latest version of Adobe Acrobat, which is the program required that he said, but there is no answer.  My forum name is Sentercal thank you.

    Hello Sentercal,

Are you sure that you have Adobe Acrobat (Reader) is installed?

Also when you say that if you put the DVD in the drive, it will show you how. The DVD is supposed to play a video when inserted and his does nothing?

If this is the case, you can go to computer and run the DVD from there, or explore the content to find PDF files to open it?

If you find PDF files, and still, they do not open with Adobe Reader, then you will need to contact the vendor of the disk to find a solution. It could be the files on the drive are corrupted or the drive is bad.

You can also play or open other discs without problems, correct?

  • How to edit clips in the AE and put back them in the body? (CS5.5)

    Okay, then, here.

I edit my main footage in Premiere Pro. I recently bought a denoising software which is only compatible with After Effects, so I've been using the denoiser plugin in After Effects. Once I changed my basic video cut in first, I select all clips (included audio) in the timeline panel and open in a new model of EI. Once it has been opened, I do all my video major alterations in AE (for example, noise reduction). Now, when I try to export the project as a project of first Pro (PP) and open it in the first, it does not load the project. It's just an empty sequence. This isn't a big deal, because I tried something else. I tried connecting the composition of EI EI to PP which works, but it is very slow and precomposes all individual clips in a video clip.

So, just to go on it again, that's what I did: cut clips in PP > selected all the clips in the timeline of PP and them open in a new AE comp > published the individual clips inside the model AE w / effects that are not supported by PP (only AE supports the reductive effect) > open the AE comp edited pp > then the model came as a clip video précomposé instead of individual clips.

So, my question is, how can I get the model of EI to stay as individual sequences when I open it in PP in case I need to adjust something? Is there a way to do this? Or should I just do the very last denoise effect?

    Two other things:

    (1) I noticed that it is extremely slow in PP to render a model of EI parts... is it just because of the added effects?

    (2) I transcode my videos to the ProRes 422 format before I put it in PP. Once I put the clips in AE and then again in PP (if I figure out how), the clips will always be the same ProRes codec? I need them to be the same codec due to the adjustment of colours and effects later in the post.

Thank you if you can answer this! ANY help is appreciated! I have explained this about as good I can, so if you don't understand my question, just ask, and I'll try to give you more information. Thank you!!

If you go to re - edit your shots in first after the application of effects in AE, so you better make the shots in AE with handles on them. Do not try and bring in a full movie. Nobody knows what they are doing it. I even add handles to my dynamic link shots in Premiere Pro and I rarely bring along only one at a time. To add handles, the simplest method is to drag the photo to another layer in the body and extend them the entry points and. You can also change the length of the comp in AE, but be careful, what AE returns no audio tracks to first so you will lose the audio sync if you're not careful. If I have a bunch of shots that need to be addressed in AE I fucks cut into body leaving plenty of room (handles) on entry points, treat and make in AE and bring back return it in Premiere Pro and make fine cut there. Suspicion of a freebie come: you don't have to put your whole movie in a single sequence. When you do what I just described, I will often change the transformed sequence and then bring this sequence in my editing of final movie. That's how films are cut. Each Act, perhaps even each scene is cut as a separate sequence, then the sequences are assembled in the film. Nobody I know features cuts to cut the entire project in a single calendar unless they are so tied to the time that the first edition is the one that they should go with.

Second, yes it will take organization long to make shots turned into AE with effects because you went with effects and you also now run both applications at the same time on your system. See tha first response for the solution. You will work faster if make you things in AE and then replace the film premiered.

Thirdly, if you transcode to any codec, then make the same codec, everything will remain the same. If you are using dynamic links, then the rendering will be to the same codec for the whole of the project first. AE bit depth always process uncompressed to the project until the pixels are sent to the renderer. There is no rendering for dynamic links settings. He always uses the same rendering and compression settings used in the first.

  • How can I prevent imovie 10 to delete clips from my camera when importing?

I just noticed that when I import my video into iMovie 10 clips get deleted from my camera. I don't want to do. How do you prevent iMovie to do this?

    I can't find anywhere preferences.

Look in the iMovie > file > import media... window.  Your imported clips may be hidden in iMovie rather than actually removed from your device:

Uncheck the box if necessary.  If the files reappear to iMovie clips from your camera, your camera should be OK.

  • Pavilion TouchSmart PC 20-f323, how to boot from a DVD?

My client has a 20-f323 HP Pavilion TouchSmart PC with Windows 8 on it and wants to downgrade and install Windows 7 Pro instead.

However, my first question is, how to start my Windows 7 Pro DVD on the TouchSmart PC?  I can not even find a boot menu option to start from the DVD drive.

All other URL on this upgrade process below would be appreciated!

I thank very you much for your time.

    WARNING *.

HP does not recommend installing Windows 7 on a computer comes with Windows 8, and it will support the installation of Windows 7. HP doesn't provide drivers for Windows 7 and the appropriate drivers are not available for the hardware in the computer. In addition, Windows 7 can not take in charge some of the hardware or software designed for the computer.

Make sure you create your media recovery HP or USB Flash Recovery discs before you edit or change anything.

You can buy a new copy of Windows 7 with a valid COA and the product key.

The screenshots below is from a notebook HP 15 t-j100... options and the configuration on your computer screens may differ.

You will need to DISABLE "Secure Boot" and ENABLE "Legacy Support" in the "Configuration of the BIOS start-up secure" on the settings page similar to what is shown below, until you try to install Windows 7.

After you save the changes, the computer will ask you to confirm the changes... Accept the changes by typing the four digit code and press the ENTER"" key.

If you install from a USB key and see a message of "load a driver - a required CD/DVD drive device is missing", it's because as 'System Configuration' > 'Config USB3.0 in pre-start' is set to 'Enabled '. This should be set to 'Auto '. This should clear up the CD/DVD device is missing.

In addition, as the hard drive is probably partitioned as TPG, you must start using the internal CD/DVD UEFI or UEFI-Key/key USB to install Windows on a GPT-partitioned disk. Turn on or restart the computer and press "F9" or "ESC", then "F9" when prompted. Select the source of boot UEFI you use and you press "ENTER".

I suggest using Windows 7 SP1 for the best installation experience. If you need Windows SP1, see 'How to install Windows 7 without the disc' to download and create your own disc of Windows 7 SP1. If the DVD does not start as UEFI, you may need to use a USB Flash drive (can ask "Quick start" DISABLING in BIOS) as the installation media. Please download the Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool to create a Windows 7 SP1 USB Flash drive. Please note that some computers may not recognize a valid active UEFI USB Flash drive if it is formatted in NTFS and may require only a FAT32 formatted USB Flash drive. You should be able to make a FAT32 formatted Windows 7 installation USB Flash drive using Rufus, UNetbootin, Universal USB Installeror WiNToBootic. I like Rufus, because it contains options for 'Plan of GPT partition for UEFI computer' and 'FAT32'.

    From the top...

    (1) turn on the computer and immediately start typing the key "ESC".

    (2) when the MENU is displayed, press "F10".

    3) navigate the BIOS to the "System Configuration", 'USB 3.0 pré-OS Config' and the value 'Auto '.

    4) navigate the BIOS to the "System Configuration", "Startup Options" and "Secure Boot" the value 'Legacy Support' the value "Enabled" and "Disabled"

    5) press "F10" and click "YES" to "Exit Saving Changes".

    (6) computer should restart and display "Change of operating system startup Mode"... type the four digit code, then press "ENTER".

    (7) let Windows 8 boot to the top and put the Windows 7 SP1media in the drive to DVD or a USB port, then logout / stop.

    (8) to turn on the computer and immediately start typing the key "ESC".

    (9) when the MENU is displayed, press the key "F9" and then select the correct boot UEFI source (CD/DVD drive internal, USB drive, CD/DVD, USB Flash drive, etc.). ... Press any key to start the CD/DVD, if prompted.

    (10) select "Language", "time / currency ' and 'Keyboard' settings and then click"Next ".

    11) click on 'install now '... Check "Accept terms" and click "next". Click on "Custom (Advanced)".

    (12) you may need to provide AMD SATA/RAID drivers at the moment... Download AMD Chipset Drivers (Chipset / AHCI / USB 3.0)

    (13) ' where do you want to install Windows 7? Select "Disk / Partition" with "Unallocated space", you created earlier, and then click "next".

    (14) follow all instructions and meet the need. Enter the Windows 7 key when asked.

Please post the "Hardware ID" Device Manager (text only) for all remaining missing or unknown devices, as shown in the example below.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Please click the 'Thumbs Up' white LAURELS to show your appreciation

  • Slimline 260-p026: how to start my 260-p026 from a DVD?

I need to start my new 260-p026 since a DVD disc, so I can try to recover the data backed up from my defunct old PC. When the PC starts, I don't see any messages from the BIOS advising me how can I access the BIOS settings (I assume here that I simply need to change the order of boot... right?)

Please advise how to do it.

    Hello:

You must go into the BIOS and enable legacy mode and disable secure boot to boot from a DVD.

It is a new starting procedure with all the PCs that come with the W8 or newer.

Please see this guide for information on where to access these settings.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03659945/

I prefer rather than to change the boot order, press the ESC key at the beginning of the HP welcome screen for list options.

Select the F9 boot options menu, and then select the DVD drive in the list.

    Please, help me!

    Hello

You are not able to boot from the CD/DVD drive?
If you are unable to change the boot order in the BIOS, I would advise you by pressing the F12 key immediately after starting the laptop.
A start menu should appear, then you should be able to choose the reader of CD/DVD (ODD).

You can also try clicking on the C instead of the F12 button. The C button the STRANGE start.

    Check this back and forth!

    Good luck
