  I found the solution... all I had to do was manually add the ".exe" file name extension, and I was able to run the Setup program. I'm surprised that it worked... I really thought that there was a problem with the file.

  I had problems to download the Flash Player and download updates or open documents of my Internet Explorer 11 emails lately. I can download chrome (go figure) but I'm tired of having to go back and forth between 2 browsers do. Whenever I try to do these things in IE11 I get the following message "install_flashplayer17x32ax_gtbd_chrd_dn_aaa_aih.exe could not be downloaded. Retry, cancel or view downloads ". This happens when I try to open the documents in my e-mails used with my school district local, personal messaging, other updates (with the exception of the MS updates for some reason any) etc... I tried to turn my antivirus (MS Essentials) and even uninstalled and then tried to download - did not work. I reset IE to its default setting, restored IE advanced setting and crossed my security settings to make sure that the "enable downloads" has been selected. Nothing has worked. Any ideas on what's going on?

  FYI, the page Flash Player Distribution downloads (http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html) lists the wrong version 11.4.402.278 (really 11.4.402.267) in the header. I downloaded the Plugin and ActiveX. File MSI for Windows, listed under Flash Player 11.4.402.278. During the edition of each. MSI in Orca, it lists the ProductVersion as 11.4.402.267. And, indeed, after install two appwiz.cpl watch versions of ProductName = Adobe Flash Player ActiveX 11 and ProductName = Adobe Flash Player 11 Plugin as 11.4.402.267.

• Why I can't download Flash Player?

  I have repeatedly tried to download Flash Player after getting pop-up messages from Adobe who tell me that I can not open attachments to emails because I need Flash Player 9.0 or higher.  The messages say to download the last click in Flash Player here.  I followed the instructions to the letter and send a message that the Flash Player 10 download has been completed successfully.  So the next time I try to open an attachment, I get the same failure message.  I got also leads to a tutorial Adobe Flash Player the right | 64-bit operating systems, leading me to select the system to Internet Explorer 32 bit on my computer by clicking Start > programs.  I followed the download instructions using THE 32-bit system and the download message said that Flash Player 10.0 has been successful.  But I still can't open email attachments and always get the message that I need to download Flash Player 9.0 or higher.  If I go to my list full of programs on the install / remove programs, I find a list of several Adobe products such as Digital Acrobat, ReaderX, each of which has a size in bytes.  Flash Player 10 is listed, but nothing indicated in the column of size bytes.

  Hi Alex, you are doing great! On the Flash Player 9.0 and higher thing. A lot of sites that will tell. What they mean is that you must have at LEAST this version. In other words, if you have version 8 of the Flash Player, you could not use its Web site. We hope that help to explain these messages. Of course they will support version 10, etc..
