  There is no need to uninstall the previous version of Flash Player; the installer must do that for you.

  Try to use these installers:

  • Flash Player ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
  • Flash Player plug-in (all other browsers)

  OK, I already know, there are a lot of discussions on this, but I have tried all suggestions with no luck.  I just got my PC back after a restore full, 32-bit Windows Vista.  I installed the new Internet Explorer 9 and was not surprised when he told me to install the latest version of Flash Player.  I tried to install and received the message to close Internet Explorer, which I already do.  I managed to fix that by going to Task Manager and closing an iexplore.exe process that seemed to be stuck.  When I go to adobe.com it tells me I have the latest version (11.0.1.152) installed, but when I try to watch videos on IE9 it tells me that I do not have Flash Player!
