• Flash Player installation failure on OSX

  I have noted all the problems people encounter trying to get updates of FP to cooperate with Vista and IE, but is - anyone out there having trouble get the installer to work on a mac? After you run the uninstall program, who said it was successful, I can't get ANY version of FP to re - install on my mac. Firefox and Safari display the plug-in as missing and when you are prompted to download and install, the installation fails again and again.
  
  The only way I could get flash player successfully working again is to re - install my version of the Creative Suite, which automatically installs FP when you install the Flash application.
  
  If anyone has any advice, it would be greatly appreciated.
  Finally it is not a permissions problem that I am the admin of root working on my own laptop.

• Flash Player installation failure

  Hi all

  My Flash Player crashed. Unknown reason.

  I looked on this site of the solutions and downloaded the new version of Flash Player 11 and re-tried.

  Then when I want to open the file to install it, nothing happens. I double click as usual, nothing happens, I press 'Open', nothing happens even if it appears in the process that runs in the background.

  All the old Flash Player files are deleted.

  I looked at the solutions offered on this site, but that does not solve.

  So what I am doing wrong or what might stop / block the installation.

  No matter what other program downloaded I run works as it should.

  I have Windows 8, use Firefox.

• I need help with an installation failure to interpret and troubleshoot a Setup log.

  Background: A few years ago, many editors of cinema used Final Cut Pro 6 (also contained in Final Cut Studio 2) for their editing projects.  Shared Apple Final Cut X uses a different format that is not compatible with FCP6.  Sometimes, these editors are called to work on a few historical projects that have been published in FCP6 and need this version to run now.

  You must uninstall the Swedish version and reinstall cs 6.  during the installation, select Italian or English.

  The reason that the pop - up that happens is that the plugin PPAPI (used by Opera and browser based on Chromium, except Chrome) is an older version of Flash Player.  Update checker runs and tries to check for an update, but the check fails because of an error "unable to connect to the server.  Because he cannot connect to the server, it then returns the message you see.  We have not seen the error returned in your log file and need to continue the investigation.

I even spend about one hour with Apple in a chat session and another hour to a Genius Bar appointment - two technicians have been very knowledgeable but ultimately could not help.  I became convinced that something weird was messed up in my OSX installation so tonight, I reinstalled the operating system tries to solve this problem, but even that has not set.  The symptom is always the same - download fine, but little time in the installation phase fails.  The more useful info that I could get is running Setup directly via Terminal.

  The installer is signed correctly, Setup online smaily refers both the Offline Installer. Setup online simply download and install Setup offline silently in the background, while the Offline Installer is the full installation package.
