Flash video jumps despite the low CPU usage

It is a problem of browser independent (in IE and FF) and apply only to the Flash Video (YouTube, for example)-it happens for example with DivX.

Time to time the video will drop frames. Running beside the video Task Manager, I see that the CPU actually tends to fall in these moments, rather than boost. Well, it comes down to the departure at the time of the loss of images and then upwards slightly above reference for a short period. Use during playback, however, is very small, about 3-4%.

What I tried:

Change Windows high-performance power management

Deactivation of many processes that run in the background

Deactivation of the possibilities for energy savings in the energy Manager of Lenovo and technology Intel Rapid Storage Technology (though I doubt that this has nothing to do with the HARD drive)

Disabling hardware acceleration in Flash

.. .but does not.

System information:

Flash 12.0.0.77

I have a new Lenovo Z710:

Processor: 4th generation Intel Core i7-4700MQ processor (2.40 GHz, 1600 MHz 6 MB)

Operating system: Windows 8.1 64

Graphic system: 2GB

Total memory: 8.0 GB PC3 - 12800 1600 MHz SDRAM DDR3L

' Display type: 17.3 "FHD LED Glare Wedge 1920 x 1080

Device HDD: 1 TB + 8 GB

It has Intel Graphics HD 4600 running the latest drivers.

It's a clean new laptop - I did very little with it and actually this problem presented before I did anything for her.

It is quite frustrating and my old Acer laptop, although usually slow, doesn't have this problem.

I hope someone can help.

Thank you

Lech

Hello. I have a similar problem with casual framedrops while watching Youtube videos in point 8.1 of Windows. My processor is a core i5-4440 quad, and I also GMA 4600.

I think it's a little problem with Flash player multi-threading with quad core CPU. It does not seem to happen when I go in the Manager of tasks and set the affinity for the Flash Player to use only a single core. Try it on your machine and see if it falls still frames.

Hi all, I've upgraded my system yesterday to:

    16 GB of RAM DDR3 1333

using My Nvidia GTX295 existing 896Mbx2

I have a separate drive for projects and scratches, the two 7200 RPM

My question is, when I saw a clip encoded in divx, it plays for about 1 to 2 minutes. In software mode, the CPU usage never exceeds 25% and with the active MPE, use GPU never exceeds 10%. After 1-2 minutes, the video becomes very agitated and even stall, despite the persistence of the audio. The problem is present in software and active MEPS.

If suspend you the preview and wait for 10 seconds, this will allow another 5 seconds fluid video until it be ground moved back. I am baffled by the present, as system resources seem not taxed. I'm not sure how to measure if my hard drives are the bottleneck.

Can someone please help me solve this problem? , I created this system for my wife, who is excited to learn Premiere Pro. I understand that I should buy an Intel I7, but my budget unfortunately did not respond to this.

    Thank you

    Adam,

In addition to Randall's remarks, there is another thing to consider, only two disks.

You have three weaknesses in your system:

    1. the Phenom CPU, that lack of support of SSE 4.1 +

    2. the GTX 295, which serves only to 50% of its capacity

    3. only two disks.

The combination of these three factors can easily lead to it be ground that you meet. In addition, insufficient adjustment can make the problem worse. Have you checked Adobe Forums: installation and adjustment of a Vista... Guide which also applies to Win7.

  • What is the "system idle process" and why it seems to freeze my Windows XP and show the 99% CPU usage?

This problem sometimes occurs when my computer starts. Today, it happened and actually picked up my internet connection, which also won the update of Flash Player and Internet Explorer open. Also, I couldn't get the Start Menu to open. What is happening to the CPU is too busy doing something else? Is there a way to refresh the process or the CPU?

    Hi Hope_H,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

2 when was the last time it was working fine?

    3. do you have security software installed on the computer?

    4. you receive an error message?

Checking service or program uses high processor usage by using Task Manager.

To view the CPU usage, press CTRL + ALT + DELETE, click Task Manager, and then click the performance tab.

    Overview of the Task Manager

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/taskman_whats_there_w.mspx?mfr=true

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    (a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    (b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    (d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

  • Allowed to 13.0a1 nightly update. It is hung. Now the > 50% CPU usage

This morning helped the nightly update manifest. However, he hung Mid-implementation to date. Noticed CPU has increased substantially to about 85%. Tried disabling add-ons, safemode, reboot... Processor clocked constantly higher than 50% now even without launching nightly. Stakes never 100%, but extends between 50% and 92%. I'm puzzled! Ran Malwarebytes and ESET NOD (last)... nothing detected. I completely shut down and rebooted 5 x now. Same question.

Searched with keywords "CPU usage" excessive and inactive. Found the following link

  • Low CPU usage

    Hello

I'm trying to write a code that did a bit of manipulation of the table and some simple trig to do something quite critical time. I noticed that the use of the processor in my machine was terribly weak, has never really superior to 50%. Puzzled, I tried to write a very simple code (some time infinitely loop executed a few simple calculations for the iteration counter) and who was running. Even with this simple code, the CPU usage is not improved. As already said, I'm writing something quite critical time, so the utilization rate, the better it is.

The computer I'm running this code is certainly not the high-end - an Intel Atom Z530 clocked at 1.6 GHz with 1 GB of RAM. However, I am limited in my choice of material (note that memory usage is no where near pegged, either - with my code and the simple loop).

Is that what I can do to increase usage? I tried to turn off debugging, with little luck.

    Thank you.

Yes, I noticed that afterwards, Altenbach. However, as HT-transformer, is not the operating system that it is 2 logical processors and therefore 50%?

As you mentioned in your previous post, 2 while loops must confirm it.

The Task Manager is now just 'CPU' because I must have hit something wrong.  I was hoping just to click on the tab use the CPU in the Task Manager, now somehow when I hit CTRL, remove alt. it shows only the CPU usage graph.

  • Problem with the Ubuntu CPU usage

    Hello

We meet a few the next problem with an Ubuntu VM:

The virtual machine has 8 vCPU (increased from 2 Sockets with 4-core to 8 outlets with a carrot) and the latest VMware tools installed. Even if there is a lot of load on this system, the virtual machine seems to use about 25% to 50% of CPU capacity. The return of the command vmstat 1 during this time is:

    user: 28%

    system: 4%

    inactive: 78%

    wait: 0%

VCenter statistics shows a spike on the CPU load, but epi only climbs and rest between 25 and 50 percent or a maximum use of 7 309 MHz (about 16,000).

Here are some features of the environment and the virtual machine:

    Server:

    VMware ESXi 5.5

    VMware vCenter 5.5

    HP ProLiant DL380p Gen8

    • 2 x Intel Xeon E5-2620 @ 2.00 GHz

    • QNAP-TS-869U-RP via iSCSI

    VM:

    12.04.4 of Ubuntu LTS (GNU/Linux x86_64 from 3.8.0 - 36-generic)

    VM-Version 8

    8 vCPU

    8 GB vRAM

Updated version of the VMware tools installed

What can we do to improve the virtual machine CPU usage?

Please let me know if you need further information.

    Thanks in advance

Since a thread can use 100% of a vCPU it may be a problem of thread on your application.

You should look at the use of the individual processor instead of overall consumption.

Lets say that the application can use only 1 wire but it uses 100%, this means that it will use to 12.5% of the total cpu resources allocated to this virtual machine. (100/8)

  • Satellite L500D - high all the time CPU usage

    Hi guys,.

help a friend with a laptop, the thing was really slow had vista on it, so formatted and installed win7 x 64. It's a toshiba satellite l500d-pslk0a-00r009. Dual core 2.2 ghz. 4 GB RAM. (did a new install not updated)

Even on an installation of vanilla, just running windows only update is trolling the heck out of him. CPU is sitting at 100%, but looking at the process that they all sit at zero. I can't see what process is the cause.

Web browser opening is really offbeat it will freeze and say does not then come back after some time.

temperatures are good (50deg C). Power profile is very good. Even turned off all the animations. always the same question.

RAM usage is less than 20%.

There is certainly a problem with the CPU, I ran the windows performance index, all rated in the Middle 4 except the CPU that qualified 2.0!

I've updated all the drivers etc. What else can I try and do to solve the problem of cpu?

    Hello

Try this: go into Device Manager and expand the entry processor and remove all entries from the CPU. Reboot the laptop.
After that the windows system should recognize the entries deleted once more.

After that I recommend you to check if the CPU performance.

  • System interrupts the large CPU usage

    Hello

I recently installed Windows 7 Professional on my computer and I'm having a problem with a process called system interrupts by using a batch processor (about 25%).

I tried several supposed fixes I found here and on other forums, but have not solved the problem.

    I'm really tired.

    http://i289.Photobucket.com/albums/ll203/SK-illfull/systeminterrupts.jpg

    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3
    Video card: Nvidea 8800 GTX

My computer got so slow that the mouse has been slow and jerky, and I had to reboot. Interrupts system was approximately 30% of time CPU. My PC is now available 5 days and the bug seems to have disappeared. The following solution seems to fix the problem:

    1. right click on the "speaker" icon

    2. Select playback device

    3. click on the properties of speaker

    4. go in the tab of the improvements

    5. click on Disable All Sound Effects

    6. click on OK. You're done!

Sound improvements seem a reason any cause the same problem when not in use. So disable them following the above procedure. Good luck!

  • How to limit the rules (CPU usage) doesn't include a few servers (IP)

    Hello

There are few servers who always raised processor and we do not generate alerts for servers, but we need to get the statistics of CPU in the FMS, is there a way I can limit the rules (i.e., the CPU utilization) to not stand for these servers.

    Thank you

    Shashank Soni.

    Hello

You can change the definition of the rule to exclude certain hosts.

In this example, we add a condition by saying that the does not apply to a specific host, or hosts.
Note that you may need to replace the name of the property with the property that designates the host name.

You can also check the host name in the status itself

Another option you have is to find the variable being compared and it scope (give it a very high value for specific hosts.

    I hope this helps.

  • UAD 2 plugins allows me to bounce back, despite the low use of DSP

I would go back on the issue of the UAD-2 do not allows to bounce, with error message "UAD plugin has been disabled. DSP passed overhead. "But my DPS said only 46% or even less. I've got two UAD 2. It seems to be random to do this, sessions which, apparently, are meaningless, but the main thing is I'm really sick of dealing with this problem. After mixing hours * to customers *, I can't make a rebound. Nor do I have fades chained, but I'd be happy to be able to just do a rebound. Help.

UAD said the hearing do not support and I think that this is unacceptable. Adobe and UAD should support me each other, and why this is not the case is a mystery to me.

I can't work like that all.

Is there someone out there who can help you?

Note: I have CS6 5.0 build 708. I missed some updates of patches, 5.2. This update solves this problem?

Question about the 5.2 update - I have to reinstall my VST plug-ins after update? I am mid-project and don't want to do anything major, but if not, and he's going to solve my problems, then I'll do it.

Thanks for any help? People from Adobe?

I don't really know.  I can't imagine that's the case, but 1-2 second buffer size seems completely there.  A few things to try solve the problems:

    1. sign problem and record under a new session.  We will use this to test

2 remove each plugin UAD, save, then restart hearing and open the session.  Do you still have the defects on the crossfades?

    3. If so, remove any other plugin and repeat.  Still problems?

4 otherwise, how low you can reduce latency/buffer size, before you get glitches in playback?

I believe that you have sent in the past, but if you can send a new session SESX file that shows these problems, we can put it in the debug on our side and see if there are any clear bottlenecks.  However, I know at least the UAD-2 personally someone who doesn't have these issues at all, at least with newer versions.  You can send the session file to [email protected]

    Thank you

  • Flash update request despite the silent automatic update enabled in MMS messages. CFG

This is in regards to Windows 32 - bit Flash Player Activex.  Version 14.0.0.145

We have silent automatic updates enabled for 15000 Windows 7 computers.  Sometimes non-admin users are encouraged to update when Adobe releases a new version, such as 14.0.0.176.  WHY?  WHY?  WHY?

Here's our MMS. CFG that we use in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\MACROMED\FLASH

    AutoUpdateDisable = 0

    SilentAutoUpdateEnable = 1

    SilentAutoUpdateVerboseLogging = 1

    AutoUpdateInterval = 0

    Hi Bob,

Now we are in what we consider a a statement of "strong".  The automatic update silent, which currently grows 14.0.0.145, will be updated at 14.0.0.176 within 45 days of the 8/12.

To stop the dialog box notification of the event with your users, I highly recommend a look at the chapter that Maria mentioned in his post.  It's really the easiest way to ensure that your users are always up-to-date with the latest version without user interaction.

    Thank you

    Chris

PS. You can also delete AutoUpdateInterval = 0 of your mms.cfg settings.  It's a little confusing, but whatever it is preceded by "AutoUpdate" refers really to our update notification, not the automatic update silent dialogue.

  • Is it possible to have a Flash video to activate the content outside the video at times along the video timeline predetermined?

I create educational videos and want to put points into a video that will make things happen on the site, either a different window or the same window of the video. Is this possible? I'm not a web developer to post how to do it to me won't do much good. However, if it is possible, I will need someone to program a user configurable system, so I can put this link tip that I produce videos. I thank very you much for your time.

Yes, you can use cue points to trigger events.

If you are looking to hire someone to do this, send me an email via my website: www.kglad.com

If you are looking for someone to do it for you free of charge, you will want to post your message on as several bulletin boards as you can.
