Flash won't install - Hello, Adobe, you're listening?

I'm out of Yosemite 10.10.2 and cannot install the Flash plug-in v.17 on my Macbook Pro. Like many of those who have already posted, I get a General Setup error and the installation fails. As far as I know, the only solution that was displayed works in some cases, but not in all cases. This solution is to download the full install version, remove older versions of the plugin, do a cleaning of the general system, restart and then installing the new Flash Player. I do not plan to follow this process because I don't want to remove my plug-in current. I saw the messages of others who did this and now have Flash Player at all and can not install even previous versions of the plug-in. Why in the world Adobe would release an update that does not work? No not Adobe thinks it would be a good idea to test the new version with Yosemite before releasing? Or they laugh? The messages I've seen Adobe staff have been completely useless and even contradictory. It's inexcusable. I wish that the developers would adopt an alternative to Flash, because this program is nothing else that a headache hogging memory, and now he moved not even. What a joke.

I had the same problem, but when I disabled my avast anti-virus, I could install

  • Cannot open the Adobe reader portfolios because of the flash is not installed

    Flash: 12.0

    Adobe Reader: 11.05

    OS: Windows 8.1

    Browser: IE 11

    Hello

at the launch of a PDF file that is classified as a portfolio, I get the error that seems to need flash to be installed below.

    error1.JPG

two things im kind of observation:

    • because she was running windows 8.1 Flash is now installed via Microsoft. I can't find a valid update for windows 8.1 of the adobe site can find windows 8, but nothing for windows 8.1
    • Since Flash player plugin is no longer ships with Adobe Reader, I need to install separately, but I can not because of point 1.

If I install the windows version 8 of the flash on the machine, I can open the PDF file, no problem but by doiing this im not sure what file I could be more fbaulous and cause more specific questions to the bottom of the track.

Read somewhere that the NPSWF64_12_0_0_70.dll is what adobe reader would use. Copy the file to the desired location, and register the dll seems doing nothing that I get the same error.

My question is how can I get the Flash Plugin from Adobe reader to work so that I can open the PDF portfolio?

Windows 8.x only comes with the Flash Player ActiveX (for Internet Explorer); You must install the plugin manually from http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/support/install_flash_player.exe

  • I have adobe flash 10.2 installed on my computer via internet explorer, can I install flash plugin through firefox browser

I installed the firefox browser, but it will not display farmville. Do I need to install the flash plugin in the browser firefox or internet explore. I have already adobe flash player installed through Web browser to explore.

There are 2 versions of Flash:

    • the ActiveX for IE version only (see: [ActiveX])
    • the version of the plugin for Firefox and other browsers, except IE

You need to update/install both if you use IE and any other browser. See the instructions below.

    1. To update or install the Flash plugin for the latest version.

      • Download and SAVE to your desktop, so you can find the Setup program later
      • If you do not have the current version, click on the "Player Download Center" link on the 'download and information' or 'Download manual installers' below
      • Once the download is complete, exit Firefox
      • Click on the installer, you just download and install
        • Windows 7 and Vista: will need to right click on the installer and choose 'run as administrator '.
      • Launch Firefox and recheck your version or up to the download link below to test the installation
      • Download and information: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
        • Use Firefox to go to the site above to update the Firefox plugin (will also install the plugin for most other browsers, except IE)
        • Use IE to go to the site above to update the ActiveX to IE
      • Download manual installers.

If the above has solved the problem, please go back to this answer and click on the button 'Resolved' next to this response. Thank you.

  • Windows 10 - Flash content from Internet Explorer asking you to Install flash player

    * Windows 10 Pro Version: 10.0.10586

    * www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer, Microsoft 25.10586.0.0 edge - flash content shows just a blank space, so I tried Internet Explorer 11.212.10586.0 same thing happened.

    * When I go to test the flash, I get the following message:

Sorry flash player is either not installed or not active

Internet Explorer sorry flash player is either not installed or not enabled.PNG

As you can see, flash player is installed, it comes pre-installed with Windows 10.

(which I think is a bad move on the part of Microsoft, such as flash player is slowly being choked out with HTML5 as the new King of the interactive content world, it is also a bad move on adobes part, because they now try to push updates through windows updates, it scr@ws also we) , users, because now we cannot choose to install it, or even to fix! When TI gos wrong like today!)

I think that the problem started after the update of KB3154132, I tried to remove the update and then put it back, I got in touch with Microsoft technical support, which are like (something I'm not going to say) I'm an advanced user, or they, can not solve this problem!

    so I'm here,

The files needed for the flash content seem to be in the correct locations, I tried to delete Internet Explorer then put it back in place, Grr and ive tried what the help page adobe said... to activate ActiveX also works to ensure that the plugin is enabled, on which it is

    adobe files.PNG

the only other place I can think, who have not tried, is the appdata (data user) that could contain the fix for the problem

    other photos

Internet Explorer You aren't running microsoft edge in windows 10.PNG

microsoft edge test page saying flash disabled, when its claerly on.PNG

microsoft edge test page saying no flash.PNG

Just to add, this could be a registry problem, I found a few entries that are not the same, but I think that the entries have changed, because I installed flash player manually, under windows 8 under compatibility mode windows 10, I did that, because flash player no longer works, as I explained above,.

    should be changed to:

I just bought the upgrade to Adobe DC Pro and downloaded, but it won't install - is always watch that I have Acrobat Standard DC?  Any suggestions?

Many people, (Brucgovn in particular), I appreciate the help... but nothing worked at all... but I FOUND THE SECRET!

What you do, it is go to the Adobe Web site, click on your product and specify that you want to return items - you want a FULL REFUND!

What is the first option, they give you?  The session ever elusive "cat."  Three times I tried with various silly responses that got me nowhere

On my 4th attempt, I'm someone who knew what they were doing - literally within 5 minutes, all problems solved, and things everything works perfectly.

So... my words of advice - forget trying to fix yourself - hitting where it hurts - in the wallet... the minute you say you want a refund - they struggle to get you fixed, hung, up and ready to go!

Thanks again for the help!  I hope you all have a Merry Christmas - or whatever holiday you and your celebration of the!
