• Problem with WebService Introspection

  I get an error when I try to use the wizard of Webservice Introspection of Flex Builder 3 Beta 2. The wizard can find the service and I can see the methods exposed on the service, but when I try to complete the wizard, so that the ActionScript object are created, I get the following error. "The WSDL definition could not be parsed. The wizard cannot complete successfully. "I can call to the webservice of ActionScript/MXML and it works as it should. The service is just a simple method that takes no arguments and returns the string 'Test '. The Web service is running on my local system of ColdFusion 8. Am I missing something?

  Hi Pat,

  It is a known problem in Flex Builder Beta2. ColdFusion 8 uses 1 shaft in the back-end for the generation of web services. The Assistant of the Webservice Introspection uses the 2 axis, and by default, that they are not compatible, we work on making the two compatible, at least to the extent of the ActionScript.

• Flex to the problem of web service communication

  Hi, just like the title of State, I have problem during the web service-> Flex communication. I use class WebService ActionScript, to establish a connection with her, but I had a strange behavior. When I try to access the remote web services (particularly: http://109.74.206.146:8080/jax_ws/quarkservice? wsdl ) of my Flex Builder IDE, all is well.   Thus the same file committed since the FlexBuilder or invoked directly from the folder of the project, where it resides, works perfectly. When I try to call from a DIFFERENT location, including deployment on my local Tomcat (or even just my office), I got the above exception. So, anyone know what is the problem? Thank you

  There is an implicit approval when you run the application in Flex Builder. Outside of Flex Builder, if the call to the Web service is not mandated by LiveCycle Data Services, Flash Player security will not allow the connection the remote service.

  Try to add a crossdomain.xml to the ROOT.war of your respective application server. Something like that...

• Flex Beta 3 forced expiration on 31 January 08?

  I left 10 days on my Flex 3 Beta Trial. My colleague left 36 days.
  Two of us have been using Flex fortunately yesterday, today (31 January 2008) both us not being able to compile and get a "Beta expired" error
  
  Has anyone else hit this problem?
  
  We tried to buy Flex Builder for ten days now of Adobe Australia, but they refuse to take the money we are throw at them.

  What is the problem?

  As debugging is very difficult, I suggest to withdraw statements mx:request and construction of the object of the application have you, so that you can check that your settings have the values that you think they. If the synchronization or other problems result in nulls "symm" or "diff" you'll know.

• Cannot run samples built Flex beta 3

  OK has completed the installation of Flex Builder. I chose to install Flash 9.0 in IE and FF, but for some reason when you go to the examples it asks me to install flesh 8.0. Even if I say yes to th eprompt it appears not.
  I even re-installed the SADF Active X manually and same regieterd according to the instructions on the Installation of Flex Builder 2.0 beta 3 page, but still no luck...

• Flex 3 - display problem

  It turns black and having to restart the computer. FLEX 3 OF LENOVO. "Sleep" mode is set to NEVER and still having the problem. Laptop brand new with a lot of problems. To change to a new front, very disappointed.

• Flex 14 battery problem

  I have a new Ideapad Flex 14 20308 model name.

  The battery works well when it is not plugged in, but when I plugged the AC adapter the mensagge of changes in management of the power to "do not load":

  

  The percentage of battery charge remains unchanged, even if it is plugged in for several hours.

  Update the software of energy.

  If I turn off the laptop, remove the battery, plugged in cord, put the battery and turn on the laptop, the battery starts to load normally.

  Help please.

  Finally, after 3 calls, Lenovo Support will send a new battery, hopes, this fixes the problem.

• Windows Live Essentials (Beta) install problems

  Following the crash of my MSN Messenger (which was after a recommended update; the "Windows Live Essentials")... On the list of recommendations for "problem reports and solution." I read about Windows Live Essentials Beta, which I've tried to install without success. Tried several times, with a variety of error codes, for which the recommendations didn't work.

  Now, a new attempt for the 10th consecutive day, Live Essentials beta installer stops and says:

  "Install Windows Platform Update;

  My Windows updater does not offer such update and couldn't find where and how I could locate and install this update pre-required, before which it seems impossible to install Windows Live Essentials Beta (in fact to reinstall any version of MSN Messenger or Windows Live Essentials). My Windows Update is in automatic mode and constantly keeps downloading all important updates practically at the time of the question.

  Must be very very thankful to your recommendations of the kind!

• Flex 4 - resize problem - delayed reaction

  I'm having a problem using the effect of resizing on my spark Panel. I want to resize the height of my Panel and the transition to another State to display when the user clicks a button. The problem occurs when the effect of resizing tries to shoot. The resizing of the Panel is delayed and Florence. It seems almost properly load the elements of the new view state before the effect can run. I have attached a screenshot to illistrate how my application is supposed to act.

  Does anyone know if there is a way to solve this problem? I use Flash Builder 4 with the SDK 4.1.

  

  If there is an equivalent of the spark of a mx component so I advise to use it.  Flex 4.1 with no spark form its fine to stick with mx:Form for now.

  Hi Greg - there was a bug where the owner of a SkinnableDataContainer/DataGroup don't was get set correctly, so the overridden itemToLabel() function was never called. This has been fixed in a post-beta build, so the example runs correctly in the SDK trunk, but the bug exists in the built public beta. You can download a SDK current software off of the Flex Open source site and use the multi-SDK of FlashBuilder feature code against the latest SDK.

• Flex / Coldfusion wiz problems, problems.

  Can anyone help me please with this error?
  
  I downloaded the latest edition of the CF, applied updates and installed the latest version of Flex 2 with CF extensions, as well as the new patch for flex. I had success only once with wiz of Flex 2 coldfusion project. Now, everything I try to complete a new tutorial, I get the following error:
  
  "The project could not be created. Please check the webroot folder (it may overlap an existing project). »
  
  I tried to reinstall CF and flex at least 7 times now. I tried to remove all of the wwwroot folder. Nothing works. Three days have been sapped on this prob.
  

  I found how to solve this problem, and the solution is very, very ugly. So ugly, as a matter of fact, I have a little advice for those who encounter this error: consider not using extensions at all. Don't even bother with them. Just uninstall them, as well as CF and forget you ever have trodded on this path.

  In short, if your cf extensions work currently, cross your fingers, knock on wood and mix a little salt over your right shoulder, because you'll really hate what you have to do to fix this little problem it occur.
