Flick-to-wake - anyone think this isn't a good idea?

Right now I'm really on the edge as to whether I want to keep my W450 or return it. There is so much potential in the device, I am somewhat disappointed that some really useful features are not exploited (i.e. the ability to scroll a map, back to the start of a race, or even a functional pre-planned itinerary function).

So far, it seems that many of the updates are useful that marginally (the addition of 40 classes of workouts... which some monitor heart rate while it is enabled) or even boring (like the flick-to-sleep feature). Speaking of which I know, we're talking about an update to this new feature... but I hope that we will have the ability to disable completely. Simply, I see no benefit to try to touch my wrist while running to activate my device when I could just hit the power button. Try to find the good sensitivity for the feature to work, looks like an almost impossible task. I was wearing my W450 to work today and all walking down 6 flights of stairs I noticed that the screen kept coming and going on almost all of the steps. Yet when I shake it the device in my hand, it was quite difficult to wake up. When he did only slept for about 3 seconds.

Continue to have it activated once the next update was released on April 2 and then if you experience negative with this feature, you can disable this procedure by clicking on the face of the watch on the home screen and scrolling to "Wake Device" option by deselecting the "gesture control".

Hello. Has anyone of you experienced this? Is this a known error that sometimes occurs within this product?

When I bought the Clip + everything worked as expected. For a few weeks. But now I can't turn it on anymore. Any buttons I press, it is not "wake up", the screen stays black and I can't hear any sound.

OK, I thought, this is may be dead or at least that the internal battery is dead. But mysteriously enough, this isn't the case! When I connect my external power (2 x AA: emergency USB charger) the Clip + wakes up and works without any problem. And funny enough, the battery shows "full". I thought that this could be a mistake, but I went jogging with him for 2 hours (without external power, of course) and when I came back to the House, the Clip + was still running. If the battery is not dead either.

... but what is - this?

And most importantly, can I fix somehow? It is not comfortable to always wear an external power supply with me just to "revive" / "wake up" the Clip + until I can use it...

The player is still under warranty because I just bought it a couple of weeks, so I can always send in replacement, but of course, I wouldn't be if it is not needed, so I thought I have ask the professionals here...

Looks like a hardware problem. The clip + shouldn't need a jolt to her to wake up and happens if the battery is fully charged.

Unable to connect to what anyone outside this computer except with IE7.

Hi, I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium 64 - Bit Edition. This problem is ongoing for months. The main problem is that I'm unable to connect to what anyone outside my laptop unless I use IE7. I can't switch to IE8 because of this problem. I tried it, and as soon as I try to use it, it says that it cannot connect to the internet. Yes, I tried making it an exception in my firewall. I don't have any other third party except AVG Free 8.0 and Malware Bytes software. Another thing about this, is that this problem don't update anything. I can't update AVG, if I never try, it just says that the update failed because it could not establish a connection with the server. This all started when Firefox was suddenly unable to get me on the internet. So I had to start to use new IE because it was the only thing that worked.

Probably specific problems include:

iTunes... "iTunes has not to connect to the iTunes store." The network connection timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct and your connection is active, then try again. "iTunes is an exception in the firewall so I do not understand why it cannot connect to the internet.

AVG Free 8.0... "Break the link with the update failed, please follow these steps."

Pidgin 2.5.5... "Could not establish a connection with the server connection refused."

QuickTime... "A connection with the QuickTime server could not be established. This computer might have difficulties to access the internet or the server may be offline. "I'm on the internet I try to update QuickTime!

Firefox... I can install Firefox but I got nowhere when I try to use it.

IE... Same thing with Firefox. I use IE7 as it is, but if I try to use IE8, it tells me that I can't connect to the internet.

Why these programs work correctly when I have a bunch of programs that do? Include programs that work properly: Google Earth, Bittorent, Frostwire. These programs need internet to work. There are even widgets in my sidebar who use the internet and they work fine.

If anyone can shed some light on my problem, it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance.

From experience, I can say that LimeWire and BitTorrent usually will open your computer up to outside attacks because they are p2p software. Free version of AVG will only provide a basic protection against viruses. You might want to try to delete the two programs above, to obtain a full version of AV of your choice and scan your computer. Many AV maker also have online that you can use to browse your system first scanner.
If the still persistent problem, a system restore may solve the problem, but you said it's been months. I don't know if the system restore going back that far.
Also, did you try to run Windows Update to obtain the latest update for your Windows again? If this isn't the case, you might want to do.
