• Adobe, please raise a floating license scheme

  I write this post because the current authorisation system for creative cloud is problematic for me and probably for others in my situation. I hope that, following this post, Adobe will consider more flexible options for the software CC license.

  I've been using Adobe products for over 20 years and I have invested a lot of time perfecting my skills and Evangelical zeal in promoting Adobe products. At this point, I would say I am an expert on many of your pieces of software.

  When CC was announced, I went with the new regime to ensure the stability of your income by making your sales more predictable. However, for me this has been created by a small studio running, heavy loads. To be precise, I am an Illustrator/animator solo and as such, I run a lot of software 3D and special effects that often require the power of multiple machines to render images or calculate simulations of complex effects. I use four, three desktop machines and laptop computers. In my work, I am constantly bounce autour between three machines that often are buzzing away on their own, rendering frames or calculation of flows of fluids, etc. (my ghost employees), when you are free I will propose this one for creative work, often using one or more of your products (my go - for Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator products each with a gazillion plugins) , First, After Effects, and InDesign. This is where the authorisation scheme that currently exists is problematic: I feel constantly activate and disable machines so I can switch between them. To say the least, it is a royal pain.

  What I would say to the creations in small studios like mine, it's that we are allowed to add more machines to the pool under license. In other words, I don't mean to run creative software cloud simultaneously on several machines, but have rather more machines available to select when you run an application. Other software I use has what is called a floating license option, but allows me to use one copy of the software at the same time on a single machine, you s to me which machine is used. Such a scenario makes much more sense for smaller studios like mine, and I don't know that I'm not alone to deal with this problem. I realize that if extrapolate you what I mean too far, things could get out of control, and it might deform your turnover, so it would make sense to charge a top small-supplement to the licensee to increase the number of machines available - perhaps with an upper limit of the machines also licensed as well.

  Currently, my only option is to double my monthly subscription to $100 spending, which is $ 600 per year just to have greater convenience, (oh and a second Adobe ID with another email address just to make things more complicated.)

  Please seriously consider changing your strategies in this regard, since it is a real thorn in my (and I'm sure as the other) side.

• Synchronization of files when "floating" licenses between entrepreneurs?

  I'm looking in the creation of a workflow using CC that would be entrepreneurs to store all their files by using the synchronization system 'Creative Cloud Files. They would do all their work in the box file CC, whereas we would have instant access to everything they have created. We could then review the files if necessary and are also available for backup.

  The plan is to give these entrepreneurs remote access to the CC software on an "as needed" basis. Thus, they would be able to install or use the software when working on our projects. I'm not quite clear on how this works, but I guess they can be allocated a seat if necessary via the team plan or company CC?

  If it is possible, what happens to their files synchronized if/when they don't have a CC valid license/connection on their computer? Still have access? Are they deleted? The assumption is that the files would be shared with our team, so we theoretically would already have them on our computers. On a side note, if the contractor removes these files, would they still be archived somewhere?

  Any info on this would be appreciated. It would be nice to have all this loose CC, but the alternative would be to use Dropbox, which would not be dependent on a current CC license.

  All files have an owner, the person who uploaded the files. There are two ways to share files: Collaboration and send the link.

  The collaboration is based folder. Everyone has agreed that the invitation has read and write access to the folder. The owner of the folder can archive the folder which will stop the Collaboration for everyone, while the owners not can individually choose folder leave. Also in the box to work, you can remove access for anyone.

  You probably already checked this, but make sure that where it shows the license server in the CR, it says "not found".  If so, modify, change anything, OK.  And he can then reconnect.  This happens a lot in one of our branches in bad bandwidth.

  Yes.  You should be able to connect on a system and use no matter what you prefer applications.  You can be signed in on 2 systems simultaneously, with an option to reset all of the activations if you need to connect to a third-party system do not have access to others for now.

  I would like to build a floating - linked clone pool for 10 VDIs and lincense them using KMS.

  I read that the KMS solution is valid when you deploy more than 25 VDIs but if my VDIs are rebuild a few times during the day, why KMS does not work for me?

  I have an installed KMS and I think the job properly, but when I build my Windws 7 pool for each computer I always get this message:

  "Discover the State of the agent (16) composer initialization error: impossible to activate the license (waited 1275 seconds).

  If anyone can tell me what I should do to fix.

  What I do for this is to simply begin your pool with 26 machines and all have power upward.  Then just make sure all active and then reduce it down to the size you want.  Your environment might suffer a little performance while you do this, but it does the job for you.  A tip - don't forget to make offices and BONES.

  Do you use the floating linked clones or dedicated workstations?

  You must use a KMS server with office on linked clone desktops floating. If you use dedicated clones, you can simply activate office manually after the fact, but I would still use a KMS server.

  The reason for which activation disappears is due as a result of the activation ID changes after the cloning process, where only the KMS makes life easier.
