FMS 4/AS3: publication works, the record is not

I currently have a problem with FMS4 developer edition (x 64) Linux and Windows XP (x 86).

When I listen to a webcam using ns.publish ("foobar", "live"), I can watch the stream live on another client, however when I use ns.publish ("foobar", "record"); broadcasting or record works.

Using the parameter 'live' the client appears in the log files and in the administration as "publication" console, using "record" the client appears as 'idle '.

I have to configure and more LIVE_DIR in fms.ini?

Is it a restriction in the developer edition?

Is there something else I'm missing?

The problem here is that you are trying to publish recording on demand 'live' - 'live' application is to "live" publishes only and therefore "vod" at the service of video on demand.

If you want to test the record, create custom applications in the FMS applications folder and try your scenario. Its matter of minute.

Create a folder named 'test' (give permission if his machine Linux - purposes test gives all 777 permissions). Now just change the URI in your client code to connect to 'test' instead of 'live' - nc.connect ("rtmp://192.168.1.63/test");

Note: I would say please do give the actual IP address of your machine - just to be on the safe side.

Spent 680 GTX to the 770, now MPE is disabled and the recording will not work in CS6.

I recently had to return an EVGA GeForce 680 via RMA failure, and as EVGA was more than 680's in stock they sent me a 770 instead.
I installed the card and reinstalled the latest drivers, and I got this error message when you open a project (CS6):
"This project has been modified used with Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA), which is not available on this system. Mercury Playback Engine Software only will be used"
I also get the following error message when you try to encode: "recorder captured No. Frames"
I have so I uninstalled and reinstalled everything using this sequence:
-Uninstall the wipes and utilities Matrox
-Uninstall Adobe CS6
-Run Abobe vacuum tool
-NVidia drivers run Setup (ver. 337.88), making sure to check 'Perform Clean Install' (I installed only graphics and HD audio drivers. No 3D Vision, physx and GeForce experience)
-Install Adobe CS6
-Update Adobe CS6
-Install the Matrox utilities
-Restart the PC and the power of Matrox cycle
-Install the Matrox models
The Matrox I use is THE MX02 w/MAX (version 7.6.0.1993)
Windows 7, Adobe CS6
After re-installation, I still get the same error messages.
Can someone please offer assistance so that I can get back to editing? Thank you!

The 680 was on the list of "Supported", the 770 apparently not. No worries. It works, they just never specifically tested and they do not want to engage in something that they haven't tested.

Just delete the file named cuda_supported_cards.txt and the problem will disappear.

Regarding your Matrox stuff, I have no idea. I'm sorry.

Could move the record is not complete. An unknown error has occurred

I get the above error when you try to move the folders containing the sub-files and subfolders in Lightroom. I double checked and there is no 'no image' files involved. This spend me too much time manually means moving files around that were imported from another catalog. Any ideas?

Follow these instructions:
1. Go to your operating system (Mac Finder or Windows Explorer) and COPY the folder (and not MOVE)
2. In Lightroom, right click on the top-level folder and select the location of the folder to update and point to the new location of the file
3. When you are sure that it worked properly and all works in Lightroom, get it into your operating system and delete the originals

There is little time I had an accident and several of my actions have been screwed up. I thought that all used windows Explorer to recreate my folders. The I discovered that I have files that are not in windows Explorer, almost as if they don't exist. I tried to verify that the system folders were visible, as well as hidden and system files but still no record. I thought that I had lost several things but still records are always used and updated they just are not displayed. Strange that they do not appear in the command either with a dir command line. However, I can do a search and find files. It seems that the fat tables or registration to the directory are corrupted, but I am at a loss, what is the problem or how to fix it.

Found a box that prevents the bios to booting from anything other than the hard drive in the BIOS, under Security. Stupid because it still allows you to change the order of boot without any error message.

Once I changed I could boot from the cd and fix corrupted files.

I thought it was a matter of BlackBerry initially, but now not so sure. When I add another GMail account, it works very well - so the problem seems to be something wrong with my original Gmail account. However, I compared each visible setting between the two accounts and can find no difference!

Here's the question: when I get a message on my Gmail account on the BB, notification indicators all work fine, but when I open the icon "envelope" it does not show the Inbox. It shows a folder named 'All messages' instead, and it is empty. The continuous unread message indicator show that I have a message but nothing is there. I realized that if I select 'filter' in the menu, and then select the Inbox, it will take me in the Inbox and the message is there. All goes well until I put down and the next message arrives. Same thing every time. It's as if the default view is somehow summer past "inbox" to "All messages" and I can't find any setting to fix it.

Looked like a BB problem at the beginning, but I've sent books service, deleted the account of the BB rebooted, added the account back, still no change. When I tried to add another Gmail account, it worked fine. Went back and added the first account, same problem.

It's embarrassing to admit, but I am a IT consultant and I'm working on things like this all day. I've never seen a problem like this before and I'm stumped.
