Folders or Playlists-how do

Is there a way to make a folder (or selection) on my old iPod Classic? I mean make a folder called Music market. A folder called music group. So, I want to put songs into these folders. I would like, if possible, to put the same song in several folders. I want to show on my iPod, while if I walk I can play only the music market. Can you give me detailed instructions on how to make these files? Or is it called a Playlist? I can do it on my computer? Do in iTunes or in the browser by accessing the iPod? I also have a Nano that I intend to work with after I get the classic where I want. It works the same?

They are called playlists. You create in iTunes and sync with the iPod.

This description is for the latest version of iTunes (version 12). To create a playlist in iTunes, first show your library iTunes music (click the button on the music at the left end of the horizontal bar). Near the middle of the horizontal bar, click playlists. A side bar appears along the left side of the window, showing your playlists. At the bottom of the sidebar, click the Plus sign and choose new playlist. Name of the playlist as you want.

In the sidebar, under libraries, click on music, to display your music library. Scroll the sidebar (if necessary) to show your new playlist (without selection playlist). Drag and drop the songs you want on the reading list, from your music library to the playlist. Alternating (instead of drag and drop), you can right click on a song (or a selection of songs) in your list of library music and Add to Playlist-> [playlist name]. Create playlists as desired. You can put the same songs on many reading lists; iTunes does not charge that each song once on the iPod, even though it's on many reading lists.

After you create these playlists for your iPod, connect your iPod. Select it in iTunes (click the camera button on the horizontal bar) to show its settings screen in the iTunes window. Along the left side, under settings, click on music. Settings of music from the iPod screen is shown at right.

NOTE: All iPod songs that are not in your iTunes library (on the computer) will be lost.

Check the box to Sync music, if it isn't already. This enables automatic synchronization. If your library iTunes music can fit on your iPod, you can choose the option synchronize entire music library. Click Apply to sync your music library on the iPod, including all selections. If your iPod was already set that way on screen settings of music from iPod, you just click on Sync to add new playlists to iPod.

If the iPod does not have sufficient storage capacity to synchronize your whole music libraryon parameters of music from the iPod screen, choose the option to sync Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres. Below, under playlists, search for and select (check) the playlists that you created for the iPod. Click Apply to sync the playlists to the iPod. This option may be appropriate for your iPod nano, which has the lowest storage capacity.

Further, you can update the playlists in your iTunes (add/remove songs). The iPod has no need to be connected. The next time you connect the iPod (or click sync , if already connected), iTunes will update the iPod with the same changes.

You might be able to reclassify videos like TV Shows and then take advantage of the Organization in the shows and episodes.

I understand that you want a better way to organize your playlists of music from Apple on your Mac. I would suggest that you try to use some smart playlists to achieve this function:

Lost a ton of music and playlists - how to restore

Hello

I just went to try to play music on my iPad and my iTunes on my Windows laptop, 10, but to my surprise I discovered not only did I lost ALL my playlists but I lost a TON of my personal music (ripped from my own CD... How to restore a previous library iTunes or update of the iCloud? I am on iTunes 12.3.2.35.

I just copied one of the previous library files I had and he restored much of what I lost. How do made restore my iPad 4? How can I backup my iTunes library in the future? Also, what becomes of the most recent music real and other content that I had there, apart from the organizational database library file?

Windows 7 user folders Redirection question - how to remove old, inactive placeholders?

I have just directed my documents folders user (Document, music, photo, video, Desktop, etc.) of my drive C:\ (128 GB SSD drive) in my D:\ Drive (1 TB HARD drive) for reasons that are obvious to many. I followed the instructions in the following link: redirect a folder to a new location

However, after redirected each back, C:\ drive My now still has placeholders of old for the following folders: music, photos and videos (highlighted in the attached image below) and I can't something with them (delete, rename or hide). What bothers me, for two reasons:

1. they are always there LURKING and I can finish by clicking on them instead of the redirected folders (as you can see there are three folders corresponding to my images, videos and music). I get the message "Access denied" whenever I click on them (I am the only user of that PC and the Admin, of course);

2. in the second place, I might want to redirect folders in the future to their original location, which will cause a problem because the placeholder is where, in my opinion.

Could someone please help and guide me how to remove these placeholders? Remove these placeholders allowed and recommended, or not?

Hi Frank,.

You don't want to remove these. It is possible from the command line with a few advanced controls, but it will break. Many programs, even parts of Windows itself, look for these files at this location. These placeholders function as junctions and will redirect all programs to the new location if they try to use them. But if you delete placeholders, these programs will not redirected properly and they will fail.

I updated firefox to version 11 and lost all my folders and bookmarks, how to restore the using Time Machine?

I use Mac OS X Lion. I use Firefox for my research and organized many bookmarks into folders. All bookmarks disappeared after I've upgraded to version 11. I tried to find my profile as suggested in the forums and help documents, but I'm not. I have backups Time Machine of my entire system. Could someone please tell me what are the folders and/or files to restore to recover my favorites?

I have a playlist with 4 inside playlist folder. I have remove the titles of each playlist file therein, but these changes do not appear when the review of the global list of tracks by selecting the folder. securities that I deleted in playlists remain when you look at the titles by selecting the folder. I suspect that these changes are not saved correctly on the .itl or .xml library files.

I have many files to playlist and I haven't started the accuracy of larger files. You can force records to double-check the titles in their respected playlists? And when you consider the number of files I have, re-create these folder would be an incredible pain! And I would consider strongly away by iTunes if the only option I get is 'redo your records. "

As shown in this other thread where you posted, playlist files are supposed to automatically refresh in response to changes in the records of the child. When they are not a possible workaround solution is to create a new playlist folder, move the lists of the child inside, delete the original and rename the new list to replace. You should just to do it with a playlist affected folder. Try it.

I am not sure, but I remember a suggestion once that one possible cause of this problem is when an existing selection is duplicated in the folder, and then modified.

The contents of my Inbox and other folders disappeared. How can I get back them?

My Inbox and all my files are suddenly showing no emails. If I get a new email increases the number of e-mails (next to the Inbox, in parentheses) but I can't see the new messages (with the exception of the snapshot, you get from the first lines of new messages, after you press to GET the MESSAGES). I am not aware of doing anything that would cause this "disappearance".

It seems to me that if you have hidden, removed or reduced all regular columns. The column with the small square icon at the top is normally right.

If you click on it, it shows a list of checkboxes? Are they all unchecked? Nothing changes if you check one of them?

Or try to move your cursor to this column to see if you can get a grab/resizer indicator on it, then take it and drag it to the right.

Another thing to try is to launch Thunderbird in Safe Mode; If there are customizations or adjustments cause your problem, they should be disabled mode without failure.

How do playlists work?

Playlists in iTunes, can be nested? You can treat them as folders? I would like to create something like

Classic > composers > Types > Instruments. I tried to make an example below, but it is difficult with the limitations of the key board.

You can nest folders in playlist. A playlist file can contain a mixture of playlist files, regular, or smart playlists. The record shows the combination of all the lists of content.

How to create folders and move photos in the image library?

I just bought a new laptop and am new to windows 8. I downloaded approximately 300 pictures and they all saved in the library of photos in the same folder. I can't work out how to create separate folders or even how to move one of the photos. They appear only as a long line of scrolling which is a real pain. I had a disc with image files (mainly files have and psd) in different folders and subfolders, how can I create a Board contact, including all image files in different folders. Use the Contact Sheet II optional plugin located in downloads from Adobe:

(1) search for a contact in PS CS5 help sheet

(2) select the first result and read carefully all the optional package of the Photoshop plug-ins photo

(3) follow the instructions to download the zip file and note the location where you download it.

(4) follow the instructions to install the files.

I don't know how PS CS5 will deal with vector image files have or if you need to batch convert images raster first before using the Contact Sheet II. Contact sheet II allows you to choose a folder and include all subfolders option, so you could create a folder of the plug Contact and copy all of your files in this folder that will become the subfolders of the main folder that you choose for your contact sheet.

How do say I have this external hard drive more Time machine?

I keep all my personal documents on an external drive that is still connected to my Mac via USB. For the purpose of this question, we will call it this disc "Lagavulin".

In addition, I have a Time Capsule. Time Machine is configured to record its backups on the time Capsule.

TimeMachine performs regular backups of my complete system, including the operating system, applications and settings internal to the Mac disk, as well as my personal documents that are on the external hard drive "Lagavulin".

I encounter this problem on my iPhone 6 (64 GB). Especially when I selected pictures and videos.

When adding Shared Pictures folders in iCloud how is the transformation that is happening? I was wondering if my original photos are stored in the clouds and I add to a folder shared, the command is recommended to use the side Server - I mean copy photos in a shared folder in the cloud, rather than download to my local storage of phone because it stores only the optimized versions of the originals.

So if this whole process happening this way, then how is it is stuck in my local device? : S

Please ensure that you have a backup of your current library. Launch Photos while keeping the Option + command keys. Select this option to repair your library database.

If this does not resolve the problem, the problem could have been moved from your iPhoto library. In this case save, then fix the (same method) iPhoto library and perform a new migration into Photos.

If you need choose the right library when launch, hold down the Option key.
