  This problem is caused by with older versions of the Folio Builder Panel which are not compatible with the current version of the code Server Digital Publishing Suite.

• Folio Builder and viewer content down

  Folio Builder in InDesign does not load for me. He's stuck in the loading wheel. The content on the iPad Viewer gives me "Authentication failed" when I try to connect. I checked the State DPS (http://status.adobedps.com/) and Production: Publishing is yellow, but I want to make sure that this problem is known and dealt with. There are notes of yesterday (February 3), but nothing new added today (February 4).

  Most of my production is now suspended until these things can be corrected.

  Can someone please update me on the progress of DPS?

• Folio Builder in CC?

  We are currently using CS5, with Folio Builder plugin installed in InDesign. Here make us small presentations to iPads, download them in Adobe Content Viewer.

  However, we think of the upgrade to CC. I know that Folio Builder of InDesign when download you it, but now there's also this huge DPS (Digital Publishing Suite).

  So my question is if I can continue my work on CC with Folio Builder, just for these little presentations in the content viewer, or do I also have to buy DPS + the necessary licenses?

  It seems more like something larger productions, and it is very expensive. I don't want to make the apps, or something like that - I just want to continue to load things on Content Viewer and share them.

  I don't know why, Folio Builder should be included, if you cannot use it without having to buy DPS - which does not seem quite logical for me also... So, can I continue to work with her as usual for Content Viewer, or should I also DPS?

  You will need to use InDesign CC 2014 or earlier to continue to make the flow that you do. Folio Builder is not supported in InDesign CC 2015.

  I know it's a long time ago. And I forgot to get back to you. But the problem solved itself, when I ran an auto upgade of DPS Apbuilder. So now I can get to my folios with CS6 reinstall them and everything is good :-)

• Folio packaged on PC and moved to OSX: Folio Builder period.

  Help, please!

  I have an Indesign file that we created on a windows 8 PC running Indesign CC.  We now have at the party who requires an apple computer to complete the final stages of editions so I packed resources/files on the PC and uploaded the folder packed into a whole new IMac.

  Once again using Indesign CC, I have the file open on the mac and all the links etc. look good.  When I run the folio however constructor, it is BRUTALLY slow.  On the pc which is a slower computer, it takes maybe 5-10 minutes to run, but it will take an hour on the new mac + and when it finally descends the loading screen, it seems just the time itself and don't watch not only a folio has been downloaded.  Its not time on the real part of internet downloading, I am familiar with this error but is not a problem, its expire on the treatment of the folio PNG I guess.

  Note: The file is very heavy on the effects of dps, a lot of slideshows, tons of States of objects, videos, etc.  With the help of its linked files PS for each State of the object for the packaged folder real is a little more than 3 GB.  Obviously the compiled application itself is nowhere near that, but there is a lot of data.  Yet, it works perfectly on the PC if something's wrong here.  New imac so it's not a power issue.  I tried another mac as well if it's not a bad computer.  Folio Builder will work if I drop all but a few States of the objects even though it still takes much more long to run that he made on the PC.  I tried to change the type of default image to PDF instead of png and got the same problem.

  There is no reason I can think of to move these files. You can do ANYTHING on a machine right Windows until the creation and submission of the application.

  The folio can be created on the Windows machine. I do it myself.

• Folio Builder imports only the Portrait layout

  Hi guys,.

  This is my first attempt to create an application that is going to be a supply of product for my employer.

  I created a document of ipad to portrait indesign called 'front page' stuck my logo on it and then used the "another layout" option to create the landscape of the page version.

  My problem is that when I add the document recto the folio Builder he brings / poster portrait orientation, I expected to see them both.

  Maybe it's a bug, I created a new page from scratch, but still have the same result

  Any advice would be appreciated.

  Did you put the folio to dual orientation? And FWIW, I do not recommend double orientation at all unless there is a special design for her, and even then I wouldn't substitute but rather of two files InDesign layouts.

• Folio Builder CC does not.

  Hi all

  I am in need of help dier - my folio builder Panel will NOT import layouts, existing, new, page layouts. Import only, will not import multiple.

  I can create the folio shell but I can't import all information inside.

  Been on the phone for technical support throughout the morning, nothing helps.

  I have so far:

  •Quit inDesign and rebooted, it

  •Restarted my whole machine

  •Deleted all my preferences

  •Uninstalled ALL the creative cloud programs

  •Used the cleaning tool

  •Created a new admin account and installed inDesign and creative cloud only

  •Thoroughly article tested unsuccessfully imports / same question.

  •Ran tool cleaning on the account of that test and reinstalled Office cloud creative and inDesign

  •Ran for updates check that I was not behind on anything.

  And it STILL does not work, I'm really at a loss

  NOTHING works, I'm stuck with my builder like that Panel...

  

  I desperately need help

  Any suggestions?

  It is difficult to say if there is a problem with the Folio Builder Panel or a problem with the source files you are trying to add/import.

  If the Folio Builder Panel does not seem to work properly, try this:

  1. exit InDesign and all the other CS apps.

  2 delete the opm.db file located in "your user name" /Users/ / Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE/opm.db, and then start InDesign and try to connect to the control panel.

  If your system files are hidden, hold the Option key and choose go > library in Finder and go from there.

• Sign-in misleading R26 dialogue for Folio Builder

  I was disappointed to see that the new Folio Builder sign-in dialogue bears A26 (via Adobe Application Manager) a bar labeled "CS6 Creative Cloud Membership" title.

  It is misleading. I want to connect to an active account of DPS for the publication, I'm working on that. Why should I be asked to enter the Adobe ID for my membership CS6 creative cloud - something that is absolutely irrelevant?

  It is also faulty: after the signature, the AAM dialog box disappears and me ditches in the Finder, rather than return me to InDesign.

  I wish we could have provided a custom dialog box, skin which clearly stated that you were connecting to DPS instead of the creative cloud. Unfortunately we could not. I asked the team possessing this new dialog for personalization features, but I can't promise that this will change soon.  Apologies...

• Question of InDesign CS6 folio builder/links. For iPad.

  Hello. I'm a graphic designer who is very experienced in InDesign using the software to fine printing. I am now branching out with CS6 capabilities and learning design (mainly presentation) applications for the iPad. So I designed a portfolio as a document of several pages including the page orientation to portrait and landscape. The app consists of a sheet of starter that would be a load of animation exported as swf and back imported in InDesign such as HTML5, or MP4, or however (I've nailed it yet because I leave this until the last that this page will be used as screensaver until swiped). When the Viewer slide page 1 they enter the main page "content" with a load of thumbnails within these customers and clients I have charge of case studies. So, I have pretty much designed the layout and that you have to build, but I need to know what I'm limited by.

  page 3 will be the 1st client and will need about 6 case studies, I guess I'll need to make additional pages. And so on.

  In any case, I digress the question I ask is the one to download and test on the iPad via the content player I obviously need to download items in the form of separate pages (incorporating the guidelines both H & V), but I would make the links on my page "content" when the document is a multipage document (IE in its original state) or apply I have these links (as buttons I guess rather than) hyperlinks) when the articles have been separated and I work with page 01, 02, 03 etc in folio Builder? I know not how to create thumbnail buttons but I can't work out how to link them to their desired targets (next page/page no. / etc. etc.) for the record, I would like to present my work on an iPad as an application, without relying on WIFI or 3 G. Last question (phew) is that I have a picture frame with a slide show-is it possible for the Viewer to click on them and open them in full-screen and flick/navigate through this way? then click on a cross in the back of the top corner of the page to the screen they were on.   I get the message error "Sign in failed [unknown svr]".

  I use CS5.5. I initially installed V1.01. It did not connect so I downloaded 1.13.2. -I can't install it because I have no OS 10.6!

  I am operating OS 10.5.8 and impossible to pass to 10.6 because my camera is an iMac to 2006. OS10.6 is a system requirment for the latest version of Folio Builder, it seems.

  Please can someone get back to me emergency with a solution to get my Folio Builder at work I created a publication that must be downloaded for iPad tonight!

  I'm sure you're out of luck if you are on OS 10.5, you can try to install the older version of the producer folio of http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/collection.jsp?collID=4&platform=Macintoshtools, but it won't impact the version of folio builder control panel that is installed. You must have the latest version of the Panel.

  Note that we have never supported 10.5, although in the latest versions, he happened to work. The minimum system requirements at http://www.adobe.com/products/digital-publishing-suite-pro/tech-specs.html have always indicated 10.6 is the minimum.

• Several update is no longer available in Folio Builder

  I've just updated to the new Folio Builder. I found the old man a frustrating that you cannot select several items to update, but at least one article was loading I could start the following. But now I can not do same. I have to sit and wait, watching for when each article updates to start the next. I have many items and some are great. This process now takes forever. I'm not impressed. Is there any work around several updates of the article?

  It was indeed an intentional change. Simultaneous downloads within one account caused corrupted documents. We are unable to provide this functionality because of the risk inherent in the content.

  I think that the suggestion of user interface provide multiple selection-action article is very thin. I'll drop it and take credit for it myself (I'm kidding). It would be certainly worth investigating.

  I have Win7 64 bit machine running InDesign 7.5.2 - I was asked to update the DPS tools when I went to load/create a new sheet.

  I downloaded Folio Builder Panel 12.1.3 and producer Folio 1.9.1 extract the files and installed

  Now when I run the application Builder Folio Panel I get the following

  "Year error has occurred {error #3115].

  

  I uninstalled DPS Builder and producer, uninstalled InDesign and made sure that the Indesign files under user preferences have been removed.

  The machine rebooted, clean installation of Indesign and updates online, tools and then install Builder - still getting the error

  What is the solution?

  It is not that difficult to do a simple upgrade.

  Close InDesign and follow the steps below

  1. 1. go to the C: drive.
  2. 2. click the button hold on the upper left side.
  3. 3. click on the search folder option.
  4. 4. click the view tab and select show all hidden points.
  5. 5. apply and ok.
  6. 6. can \Local c:\users\username\AppData\Roaming\StageManager.BD092818F67280F4B42B04877600987F0111B594.1 store.
  7. 7 remove the dmp and the shared object file.
  8. 8. empty the Recycle Bin.

  Restart InDesign

  After, it appears that I have to start the Panel Builder Folio.

  The error message dialogue helps not at all.

  The new tools installed, uninstalled them already, authorized indesing prefs, settled again in the following order (as always): producer, then Folio Builder Control Panel tools.

  From another thread, it seems that you have a workaround to remove the cache folder. The error means there is problem of access to the database offline in the cache. If you have installed pre-release bits on this computer and used CS6 pre-release Panel Folio Builder generates then it is likely that pre-release build was incompatible with the Release version which should. However, if you have always been on version CS5.5 builds then it is probably a bug in the Panel. Unfortunately we have not been able to reproduce the problem in-house. If you encounter the same problem again, I'd appreciate it if you can me ping [email protected]. It will help if we can make some simple diagnose in this error state. Thank you!
