Follow-up diagnosis of Windows service

Just had offered update KB3022345 to install the Windows Diagnostic Monitoring Service for Win 7 Pro, which is a standard part of winning 10.

Here's what MS wrote:

DiagTrack - follow-up of diagnostic Service

When acquire you, install and use the program, Microsoft collects information about you, your devices, applications and networks and use of these devices, applications, and networks. Examples of data that we collect your name, e-mail address, preferences and interests; history of navigation, search and file; phone call and SMS; configuration of the device and the data of the sensor. and the use of the applications. For example, when you:

  • install the program, we may collect information about your device and applications and use for purposes such as determination or the improved compatibility,
  • use voice input as speech-to-text features, we can collect information from the voice and use it for purposes including improving the treatment of the word.
  • Open a file, we may collect information about the file, the application used to open the file, and how long it takes and use for purposes such as improving the performance, or
  • Enter text, we can collect the typed characters and use them for purposes such as improving entry semiautomatic and spell check features.

Looks like any other keylogger...

No thanks!

I rejected this update on my Win 7 PC but found - unexpected - it installed on my laptop Win 8.1.1. So quickly withdrawn from there.

The problem will be with Win 10 because we will be able to accept an update or not. They will ALL be fed by force and that if we are vigilant and MacoStupid is honest about what each update done, we will never know what they are stealing from us.

And even if we don't know not what makes an update, unless MS provides a way to uninstall it,'re stuck us.  MS can stimulate - unintentionally - a new breed of pirates that survey every single update in every detail and develop tools to uninstall the most reprehensible.

Thank you for using answers Forum.

I suggest using the CheckSUR for investigating issues of update.

What is system update readiness tool? System resources, such as file of data, even in the data memory and registry data, can develop inconsistencies during the lifecycle of the operating system. These contradictions may be caused by various hardware failures or can be caused by software problems. In some cases, these inconsistencies can affect the Windows Service store, and they can cause software updates not do not work. The system update tool attempts to resolve these inconsistencies.

Whenever I turn on my pc a box opens indicating "files which are required for Windows to run properly have been replaced by unrecognized versions."  To maintain the stability of the system.  Windows must restore the original versions of these files.  Install your Windows XP Professional CD2.  I don't have any Windows XP Professional CD that I use the Home Media Edition. If I press Cancel repeatedly, the window disappears to return with the same information, but ask me to install Windows XP Professional CD3.  How can I stop this happening?

    HELP PLZ

    Hi Jesse310,

    Welcome to Microsoft Answers Forums.

    • When you get this error message?
    • You are able to boot to the desktop?
    • What is the version of Windows installed on the computer?

This can happen more often if the user account is corrupted or some missing files.

First of all, I would say that run you a virus scan online on the computer to scan and remove infections of viruses or malware on the computer and check if it works.

See the link below for the on-line virus scan and perform a full scan of service on the computer.

    http://OneCare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm

If you are unable to boot to the desktop in normal mode, I would say that you start the computer in safe mode with network and try the online scan.

Steps to start in safe mode with networking

1 restart your computer if it is running.

    2. tap on the F8 key after your initially on powers computer.

    3. Once you see the menu Advanced Boot Options, you can stop tapping.

    4. use the up/down arrow keys to highlight your selection.

    5. Select Mode safe mode with networking and press ENTER.

    6. you should see loading drivers and wait please.

    7. you should then be at the Welcome screen.

    8. connect to your computer using an account with administrator privileges.

Start your computer in safe mode

    http://windowshelp.Microsoft.com/Windows/en-us/help/323ef48f-7b93-4079-a48a-5c58eec904a11033.mspx

If the step above does not resolve the question suggests that you perform the clean boot procedure and check if it works.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Perform the check and the clean boot if you have the problem

    1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    User account control permission

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.

    2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.

    3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.

    4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.

    5. click on OK.

    6. When you are prompted, click on restart.

    7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

If the problem is resolved to check what is the cause of the problem, referring to the link given below:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

On the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

    Hello

I am unable to connect to networks as says "the dependecy service or group could start. Hello

It would be a good idea to run the System File Checker tool to see if you have corrupted files

"How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the files on system missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7"

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

Use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click principally made programs, Accessories, right-click guest, and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.
    2. Type the following command and press ENTER:
      sfc/scannow

The sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

I received a call from a person named Jeff Ipkiss saying he was from the Windows Service. He said that he called because I was a loyal customer of windows and he wanted to fix my pc of some errors as it gets when I download files. He asked me to go in the Viewer (eventvwr.exe) events I watched administrative events and Windows logs and saw many warnings and errors. He also had me go into the filter to search by errors, and I could see several errors. After he checked, I had several errors, he tried to connect to my PC to correct the errors.
