force the .swf bound to open in flash player

I have two files that I would play in order. both have a preloader flash attached to them. the captivate file is published, then external linked to a file in flash 8 with a preloader in there. the first film opens in flash player, but when he jumps with the second (linked) file, it opens in firefox. files are linked using captivate 2 option in the preferences to export box. I looked into the component xp and flash player file type 8 is specified as the default player for .swf files.

Thank you
John

I hope this isn't a total loss of all time, it seems to have found the answer! Although you can specify what types of files are opened by applications under xp, firefox seems to override these settings. If you change the preferences text file in firefox (in this case), it is finally open in flash player.

  • The new beta version of adobe flash player 13 solve accidents

The new beta version of adobe flash player 13 solve accidents with browsers like firefox 27.0.1?

It depends on what is the causes of the accident that you encounter.

In order to give you any significant information, I would need to know more information.  The best way to get down to nuts and bolts must give me links for accidents you see.

To do this, open Firefox and type the following in the address bar:

    Subject: hangs

You will get a page with a bunch of links.

Choose the most recent links 10 or more and click on each of them.  This will require them to submit to the Mozilla Crash Reporter.

Links must then show that clicked, and the name will change to start with "bp" and a long hash of letters and numbers.

Right click on each of these links and choose Copy link address

Paste the address list in a reply to this topic, and I'll pick them up and try to give you some feedback.

  • Prevent the swf without envelope opening html

Do you know how to force a html wrapper to open the swf file?

I mean, the swf would be able to detect if a wrapper html loaded, or if someone has entered the path of the swf in the browser url entry.

I was surprised to see ExternalInterface.available = true when you load the SWF directly in the browser.

There is no difference in the loaderInfo swf, when load you html code or directly.

Try to check this.loaderInfo.loaderURL and see if the SWF is the file loaded, if necessary perform a navigateToURL() to another location.

Speaking of ExternalInterface, you can even use it to get the URL via JS as well because it is activated:

    to import flash.external.ExternalInterface;

    var pageURL:String = ExternalInterface.call("saveglobalscore",score) ('window.location.href.toString');

  • Work around the bug of 10.7 Lion Flash Player parameters

Here are some steps that should help you:

    UI - display settings tab

    9-25-2011 6-40-12 PM.png

You should be able to change the hardware acceleration option when Flash Player is in full screen mode. Try the following steps:

    1. Open a YouTube video in the browser.
    2. Expand to view full screen.
    3. Right click on the video to call the context menu of Flash Player, then click "Settings" to call the user interface of the Flash Player settings. (Note that you must do this twice if the interface settings user is not called by the first click.)
    4. Parameters of the user interface must be clickable mode full-screen. Go to the view tab and try to turn on/off hardware acceleration. Click the "Close" button to close the UI parameters. (Note that this should be done during playback of video from YouTube).
    5. Switch to window mode. If you call again the settings UI, you can check that your previous setting in step 4. has been applied.

Settings on this tab can be bypassed using the tabs of the native Flash Player Control Panel camera and a Microphone.  See this video for more details.

Most of the settings in this tab can be circumvented by defining them in the native Flash Player Control Panel storage tab, with the exception of set local storage limit.  A common case, you may encounter is the pop - up window "Local Storage" that is displayed if a website asks to store information on your computer.

    1. Click on the tab "Storage" in the NCP
    2. Select "Allow sites to save information about this computer" If you want to allow the Web site to store information on your machine.
    3. Close the NCP and reload the Web site in the browser.  No pop-up window should appear.

To change the local storage site settings follow these steps in the NCP:

    1. Click on the tab "Storage" in the NCP.
    2. Click on the button "settings of storage Site Local... ", a dialog box appears that lets you specify parameters of local storage for specific sites.
    3. For each Web site in the list, you can set 'Access to storage' to allow or block.

To change the limit of local storage , we can use the Panel settings for recording Web site.fpsettingsmanager.png

    1. Click on a Web site where you want to change the storage limit, for example, my.adobeconnect.com
    2. Move the slider to set the limit of storage for this site.
    3. Refresh the "website storage settings panel" in the browser for the settings to take effect.

    User interface - Microphone settings
9-25-2011 6-41-10 PM.pngYou should be able to change the microphone options when Flash Player is in full screen mode.  Here is an example of use of Google Talk (you should be able to do it with any Flash content full screen) .

    1. Start a Google Talk session.
    2. Switch to the mode full-screen chat.
    3. Right-click on the chat box to call the context menu of Flash Player, then click "Settings" to call the user interface of the Flash Player settings. (Note that you must do this twice if the settings UI is not invoked by the first click.)
    4. Now the UI parameters should be fully clickable.
    5. Exit full screen. If you call again user interface settings, you should see that you settings have their effect

  • Are there plugins open source Flash player?

I was wondering if there are alternatives to Adobe Flash player, and where can I find information about them?
    Thank you.

Well, there are several. Personally, I like adobe flash, so I have not tried on one of them, but there are others such as Gnash and Lightspark easy to find on the internet. Also, if you have the correct Gstreamer dependencies, you can play videos on sites a bit with these add ons.

  • Mouse is to select the elements when I scroll in Flash Player.

Every time I play a game using Flash Player and I put it in mode full screen my mouse will select items while using the scroll wheel.  If its in an area where there is nothing to select then it will zoom in and out, but as soon as the cursor is on something that can be selected it will choose.  This does not happen when I use the same application in the MS-edge browser or does it occur when I do the same thing under Windows 7.  So I think its something between Chrome and 10 of Windows, but I would check here if any have fact the thought experiment.

    Hello

The Flash Player download page (get.adobe.com/flashplayer) automatically detects the language/region, your system is configured for and displays the text located in the language/region. There is a single installer that takes supported languages supported, so there isn't an English installation only we can provide you.  If you want that the text in English, change your language/region so that it displays in English.  It is based on the language/region of the system settings.

  • Try to reduce the size of the file of my opening a flash site page

I use the Flash CS4 IDE, and the first page of my site takes more time to load I want that there.  So I tried to go through the various images / symbols / movie clips / sounds and so on to see where all the memory is be chewed.

When I go into my library, however, I can see the name, the binding, the usecound and the Type of my items, but no mention of the size of the file and I can't seem to find that a right-click menu that allows me to add the size of the file to the list of the details shown.

Is there a way to see the size of the file?  Or a workaround?

And are there best practices to reduce the size of the file except using symbols for everything that is used more than once and reduce the image and sound quality?

    Thank you

  • Stop forcing me to install McAfee on update Flash player!

First the fact that Adobe does not have a contact e-mail is absolutelly outrageous! Then STOP including anti-virus protection from McAfee with each update installation. I don't want to. I already have my own anti-virus! It slows down my PC and * ING sucks, ok? The least we could do, is have a checkbox with an option to NOT install it as well as the update, but I've seen that with the last update. It's like Java constantly force my browser to bing instead of google search engine. Just stop this shit!

I received the update application again two days ago, walked through it take screen shoots, but this time he worked as assumed. I had the opt-out question in the screen that you also provided a screenshot.

    So now, all right.

What is different from last time, is that the update file that is downloaded for me to execute a new version:

    install_flashplayer15x32au_mssd_aaa_aih.exe

    The former was... 14x32au... exe

For me, the problem is finished now, so thank you for the research itself.
