• Firefox does not display a text on some pages.

  I noticed that on some pages, Firefox does not display some texts. I have the latest version of Firefox installed and my flash and java are updated. The text appears correctly on Chrome and IE. Please see my example in the screenshots of the stevenson.edu Web page. Does anyone know what I can do to solve this problem or if there is some kind of plugin need me to see some content? Thank you.

  The site appears to be using an old 1.2.0 version of MooTools which is not compatible with curent releases Firefox.

  Do you mean small boxes with the hex code?

  Try to set the Boolean gfx.font_rendering.directwrite.use_gdi_table_loading false pref on the topic: config page.

  To open the topic: config page, type Subject: config in the address bar (address) and press the 'Enter' key, as you type the url of a Web site to open a Web site.
  
  If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access this page.

  • Use the filter at the top bar of the on: page config to more easily spot a preference.

  Endless tabs opening can be caused by direct Firefox to open a file type that it cannot manage effectively. This article contains more information on this problem: Firefox opens several times empty tabs or windows after clicking on a link.

  I couldn't read the BankID site. Should I use a plugin, or exactly how it integrates with Firefox? If it does not add a plugin, make sure that it is set to "Always enable" so that it can be used in a transparent manner. You can set permissions on the page plugin modules. Either:

  • CTRL + SHIFT + a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

  In the left column, click on Plugins. On the right side, you can find plugins that integrate into sites, which you often put to 'Ask to activate', plugins that work in the background, working often better set to "Always enable" and plugins of mystery that have no apparent value, which can be set to 'never activate.

  Whenever my MacBook Air gets to between 20 to 30% of its power, it stops.  It is about 3 years old. Why is this happening?  It is used to stop only when he was close to 0%.

  I have the latest version of Firefox 39. I have disabled all add-ons, restarted Windows 7, but the problem persists. With google chrome, everything works fine. Help on how to troubleshoot and resolve this problem would be appreciated.

  Deleted ALL cookies (I do it every night together with cache, but only for the last day or four hours, depending). I also had to play around with Ghost (allow facebook, twitter, yahoo analytics) and  Disconnect (disable on yahoo.com) extensions.  That seems to have done the trick.
  

  Regarding the SSL protocol, sometimes I get the warnings you mentioned. They do not make sense, because the sites are pretty reliable (banks and others). I try again a couple of times on google chrome too and everything is OK.

  I understand that messages you read on one device are marked as such on each of them. I know it's important to be in control of your data, so I'm happy to give you some information on this.

  It seems that the email service you use the IMAP protocol. This means that all messages are stored on the servers of the provider of messaging, and therefore any changes to their account across all devices connected to this account. If you haven't lived it before, then you were previously using POP, who instead downloads the messages to devices individually.

  To change this, you want to talk to your email provider to see if they still support pop. You can see more info about the server settings that you can need them (and an explanation of the IMAP at the bottom of the page) in this article:

  I just installed on my MacBook Pro Mavericks (before trying it on my iMac). The s/w only incompatible identified in the installation process is DivX. Photoshop (CS5), however, refuses to open, at all. No compatibility problems have been reported, then what is happening and how I operate?

  Well, apologies to answer my own question, but the solution is simple... just install current java from Apple for OSX. Check out this link. I did and now CS5 works again.

• Why a site appear to be an attack on a single computer page not on 2 laptops associated?

  A forum site, on old vehicles, shows to be an attack page when I try to open it on my desktop - but not on my 2 associates of laptops. All started 2 weeks; initially I could click 'ignore the warning' and it would go ahead and open; Noah, he does NOTHING hen I click «ignore...» ». My 2 laptops, on the same account, access the site without any problems.

  There is currently a bug in Firefox where if a site is blocked as long as malicious, then unblocked, it will still show as a malicious site. This will be fixed in Firefox 18, coming out in early January.

• wallpaper does not appear anthing but a solid color

  When I choose a theme it changes everything except the background. It will change colors and transparencies, but just does not show the wallpaper. I think that it is trying to do, but it does not work. It worked when I changed first to the RC. I don't have this problem in the beta, and now that I'm running the RC I installed less but nothing different from the beta version.

  I searched and I'm not the only one having this problem, but nobody has an answer.

  Please fix this before selling. It isn't my video drivers because it's the only problem I have, and he worked at a given time.
