  I had to restore my PC using the HP Recovery Manager, use what I have reset the box back to factory settings. However when the Welcome screen is reached it happens with my user that I don't have the password. I only did a password reset disk and there is no other users on the c.p. How to reset the password without being able to access any other than the Windows Welcome screen? I have another PC with XP, I can use a this c.p reset disk.?

  I changed something in the associate a file type with a program that really screwed up too many of my programs and can't fix it because I don't have administrative privlages to restore the default values.
