Form factor HDD Firebird 802
Hello. I am a happy owner of Firebird 802 who has already upgraded my RAM and now I think to update the hard drives. Am I right to think that there are 2 2.5-inch disks? Should what compatibility issues I look for?
Thank you for your help.
They are 2.5 inch 5400 RPM SATA laptop hard drives, SATA 3.0 Gb/s probably, but newer SATA 6.0 Gb/s drives should run at the lower speed. SATA 7200 rpm disks also work. Physically, there is plenty of room in the cages of the bird of fire hard drive for thicker than normal 2.5 inch hard drives that could not fit into most laptops.

New drive HARD & OS errors---> HP 8000 Elite Small Form Factor PC
Can not install Win XP on another hard drive
I work with a...
HP Compaq 8000 Elite Small Form Factor PC
Original SATA HDD is loaded with Windows 7 Pro.
In order to install a program using this PC as a digital video recorder
I installed the video capture PCI card and related software. I had problems
associated with software and Windows 7.
I know that the software works with Windows XP.
Do not want to remove the original HDD, I tried my win7
to replace the HARD drive and do a clean install of XP.
I get the same error during the installation of the OS. I tried different
SATA and different XP install disks.
The error I get is shown in this photo.Original HP HARD drive is a Hitachi 160 GB
I tried 2 known to be good SATA drives.
Seagate 500GB
WD 80 GB
I checked the bios settings and even revenue tio rear BIOS
default settings.I get this error even with everything I tried to do.
This happens during the OS install just after or during the process of the installation of temporary files are current
written to the HD.
When I re - install the original HD loaded with Win7, everything works as it
expected.
Any ideas on what] s going on here?Hello:
The problem is that you must incorporate the necessary sata ahci drivers for windows XP to see the hard drive.
Has Windows 7 and XP is too old an operating system to make them.
Read the info at the link below, section of Intel and then read the downloadable PDF document for instructions on how to integrate all the drivers.
The only other way to install XP on this model is to go into the bios, the storage section and change the setting of sata ahci to ide emulation, save the setting here and once again, when you go out.
The problem is that if you do this, you cannot change the setting for the preferred setting of DCIS, unless you know how to install the correct ahci sata driver after installing XP from the controller. If you try to just change the setting back on ahci without having to install the controller driver, the PC does not start upward.
Try "slipstreaming" the drivers first and if you can't swing, install XP in IDE mode and I'll help you get the drivers installed, so you can change the BIOS to ahci setting.

'HP Compaq dc7900 small form Factor PC' - 4 TB HARD drive
The "HP Compaq dc7900 Small Form Factor PC' sees a 4 TB HARD drive?
I plan to buy a bigger hard drive for my desktop and I would like to know if the "HP Compaq dc7900 Small Form Factor PC" can take a size of 4 TB HDD.
Maybe you can, but I can't say for sure.
You will be able to format the disk to the GPT so that windows to 'see' a large partition.

Envy DV7: What size/form factor hard drive is in my laptop?
Good evening.
Well, my desire for two year, died the other day care of overheating the chronic problems that seem struck Envys at this time. My block of cooling died beforehand, that was probably the cause of the rise in temperature. Yep, that burning smell of rubber from the exhaust vents was kind of present that something was wrong, as well as the characters of ding strange wing that the display has been put in place and the intense heat of the keyboard who suddenly developed. Unfortunately, it was out of warranty. I really liked this PC, too.
In any case, I would remove the hard disk that is inside to retrieve the data using an external hard drive enclosure but I need to know what size or form factor of the hard drive is to buy the appropriate forum. I guess it's a 2.5-inch form factor. Is this correct?
Thank you very much
Bob
Yes, it is 2.5 inches. You can just buy SATA TO USB adapter:

How to add SSD for Optiplex 755 (Small Form Factor)
Hi-
I want to add a SSD for my Optiplex 755 (Small Form Factor) boot drive while maintaining the HARD disk it came with and the player optical slimline. There is a SATA port on the motherboard, but there is no open Bay and not a lot of room in the chassis (I do not see a power open cable).
Anyone know how or if I can add a SSD to 2.5 inches to this machine? Would need a power splitter? And it's even bothered to improve an Optiplex 755-10 Windows?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
-Lewis
Adding a drive in the optical Bay is possible. But you cannot run without the original hard disk on the desktop SFF and ULTRA-COMPACT models.

I have a HP Compaq 6300 Small Form Factor in which I just replaced the motherboad. It works very well. I can start on a USB bootable and (1) start a Windows 8 or a clean installation of Windows 10. I can (2). boot from a USB drive capable of Linux Mint 17.3 Startup and load that OS fine. When I try the installation of any of the aforementioned OSs (Windows 8/10-Linux Mint 17) they all will get an error of memory or hard drive and the installation at the beginning of the installation to fail. I tried this on two SSD drives and two HDs standard. I am at a loss on what to try next. Any help would be great. Thank you. -Matt
I have it. It was a bad memory stick.

Affordable graphics for dc 5800 sff small form factor?
My PC is dc 5800 sff small footprint with Core 2 Duo 3.0 GHz, 4 GB of RAM. Now it runs with Intel Graphic Media Accelerator 256 MB. I find it difficult to play games (like Pro Evolution Soccer 2015) in full resolution. I'm doing research on many types of video cards, but it seems impossible because of their diversity. Affordable graphics for dc 5800 sff small form factor?
I've seen a few posts on the forum that says HD 6450 1 GB HP is correct; However, I would like to make 'extra' room 1 GB for the future. And I had Msi Hd 6450 2 GB and Asus Gt 630 2 Gb(GT630-SL-2GD3-L) on the spirit, but do not know if it will market voluntarily on my PC.
Can you help me and suggestions are appreciated?
Thank you.
Hello:
Food's owner, which means that you can use only one.
This means that you need to customize a graphics card to work with the existing configuration.
The GT 610 or HD 6450 should work within the limits of the 240W power that has your PC.
Each card must be much better than the card integrated Intel.

Hello
I'm not too familiar with the hardware upgrades, so I wonder if a Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT 512 MB would be compatible with my HP Compaq DC7800 Small Form Factor?
Thanks for any help!
Hello:
Here is the link to the plug for the GeForce 8800GT...
http://www.GeForce.com/hardware/desktop-GPUs/GeForce-8800-GT/specifications
Certainly, this card will not work in your machine for two reasons.
1. he needs a power outlet extra that doesn't have food dc7800.
2. the draw of the power of the card (105W), is too much for the PCIe x 16 slot 25W prorated and 240W power your PC.
These PCs is designed for light desktop for administration.
If you want to add a video card, it must be a down a profile that comes with low profile brackets in the area.
I recommend the AMD HD 6450 or Nvidia GT-610 low profile cards that will work within the limits of the power supply of your PC has.

Compaq DC5800 sff: compaq dc5800 small form factor 4 monitors
My machine is a Compaq dc 5800 small form factor. Running windows 7.
Wondered what would be the best way to get four monitors to work on this machine. Different programs of 4 separate monitors 4 on each of them, what graphics card should I buyto achieve?
I have a usb to vga thing that might work for a monitor, so this means that I need a chart of small form factor card that can work 2 or do I need one that will run 3. I read that once you install a graphics card, you can't activate the onboard graphics in the bios. I don't want to have this problem. Please help me.
Thank you
Here is the Manual:
You'll need a card video low - profile pci-e x 16. Even if you buy one with 3 outputs as a vga, one dvi and one HDMI usually you can only use 2.
And Yes, when you install an add-in pci-e video card, you will lose the integrated graphics card.
In order to drive the moire than 2 monitors you need a second video card, or a multiple display adapter cable. You have a pci-e available x 1 slot and there is such a thing as a video card pci-e x 1 like this:
http://www.Matrox.com/graphics/en/products/graphics_cards/m_series/m9120pluslpx1/
http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=9SIA4UB1J73800
Some of these x 1 cards actually have a quad cable optionally, you can add the display.
These are not for gaming but can run extra for things monitors as having walked fellow RSS site or desktop computers more available to work.

Long ago, I was able to change the color of my LED on my HP Firebird 802 desktop until I updated something. I downloaded the application of "HP Firebird ESA System Tools" which adds a section to the NVIDIA Control Panel to control the color of the LED, but the article does not appear. Anyone has any ideas how to solve this problem?
Thank you.
Hello Zombian
Have you read through this article? You're right, that need to be addressed in the Nvidia Control Panel. If you do not see settings, then it looks like that the ESA system Firebird tools is not installed. You may also need to re - install the Nvidia software.
What operating system do you use? I noticed on the download pages it seems to be a download for the program, but there is an update. One user said that he downloaded the Nvidia system with the support of ESA tools. See CASE IGNITION from PC to HP Firebird 802 - Windows 7 64 bit desktop (System ESA tools drivers) drivers. -

Hello:
For a video card, I recommend the AMD Radeon HD 6450 half-height card, which works perfectly with the 240W power supply in your PC.
Make sure that you get one that includes low profile brackets in the area.
Memory... you can install a maximum of 4 x 2 GB memory PC2-6400 for your model if you are running a 64-bit operating system.
I have used this brand in my dc7800 CMT. I bought 2 games and maxed out.

Processors... Mine came with the E8300, so I didn't change that.

Upgrading RAM on a HP Firebird 802
Good day, I was thinking of upgranding my RAM on my HP Firebird 802. I don't really understand exactly what to look for. I would like to move from 3.2 to 4 GB of RAM, but don't really know what should I look for and what I need to do before you continue this adventure. Any help is appreciated.
Hello
Normally no, just a little careful. In some areas, we will have to discharge before touching sensitive electronic components. I always wear the strap to run on any computer (on the inside).
I hope this helps.
