• Form of planning data cut the names of members with "<" or ">" in the name

  We have recently updated to 11.1.2.3.500 (patched to 11.1.2.3.501 Planning) and noticed that on our forms of planning data, it's cut the names of the members so ">" or "<" are in the name of the Member.

  For example, we have the following Member: ' cost-per-minor Suite Tower (< 5K).

  In EPMA, planning, Essbase and financial information, the name of the Member fine poster Dimensions. When we use the Member in a data form, it displays as "cost per minor Suite Tower ()"-it cuts the ' < 'and everything after it. "

  We tried to recreate the shape of data, but it still cut the name of the Member. There is no alias on this member, and we have it just show the name of the Member.

  
  

  If anyone has experienced this before? As much as I know aren't restricted characters, but maybe something with 11.1.2.3.500 coding and the thought those who are part of the tags.

  We had a similar problem with & in smarlist and patch.502 to be fixed. However, I put in "cost per minor Suite Tower (a member of your).< 5k)"="" in="" the="" .502="" environment="" and="" i="" saw="" the="" same="" issue:="" where="" "cost="" per="" minor="" suite="" turn="">< 5k)"="" cuts="" off="" to="" cost="" per="" minor="" suite="" turn="">

  and I tried just "cost per minor Suite turn."< 5k"="" and="" it="" provided="" this="" cost="" per="" minor="" suite="">

  We also have a 11.1.2.4 environment, I tried this and the question even exsits.  And I guess the only work is about setting out there because that's what they gave us said regarding the & in smarlists.

  Yes it is possible in 11.1.1.3, for example in your line selection a dimension that has attributes associated with it. Select the properties of the dimension next to the drop down.
  Check "enable the display of the custom attribute (parameter applies to all dimensions with attributes):

  Your options are to use the option "Save as" and then "move".

  The form using FormDefUtil.cmd utility, edit the XML to point to a different directory, and then import it back into export.

  PLS, I have a question about the possibility of adding a date field type for example 03/03/2009 in a cell of planning data request form.
  for example, I created:
  -2 members in period dimension: StartProject and EndProject and I need enter and follow the date for these fields;
  -a member of account called project;
  - and a simple form with these columns and rows;
  
  Try different settings for members of my - seems I can't date entry in the cell and rcvd errror: "you have entered an invalid value.

• export form web planning data in csv format

  It is able to extract data from web form of Hyperion Planning to csv file RAW format? I found that export function in Hyperion Planning export in fact the form of the world wide web including the header information, etc.. Can we have the function "Download" for users to extract data?

  You can create a script to do an export of Essbase. It could be run by the users. One way is to do it through Scripts of Calc.

  Here is an example.

• Selection of a range of members on planning data forms?

  Can someone confirm that it is not possible to select a range as a member on a form of planning data?
  
  Here's my situation:
  
  Description: A form of planning we would like to fill months. Currently the planners can enter data in six months: July-December. In October, we will change it to Oct:Dec.
  
  Question: For each form of data, we manually add/remove members.
  
  The attempt failed: created a SubVar and entrusted the following range: & CurFstMo:Dec. Of course, it doesn't have :)
  
  Work around: I think that the simplest solution is to display 12 mountains and change the date start and end for the forecasting scenario. I need to check with planners if they would be okay with showing all the 12 months other than just the month of entry.
  
  Can you think of another solution?

  Hi, I use importsecurity tool to manage my security of planning on the dimensions.
  Everything is correct, I'm loading security with a lot, everything is correct... except for one small detail:
  
  
  -J' uses the SL_CLEARALL parameter to clear the existing dimension members security and also clear security of Planning data types!
  That is to say after using this command, dimension members security is good, but my users can no longer see any dataform :).
  
  
  I have check the Importsecurity parameters in the hp_admin.pdf and I think that there is no possibility to load security on forms of data in this way?

  You don't specify your version, but I know that you can import the security for forms in 9.3 +.
  It is not well documented, but if you just put the name of the form instead of the dimension member then it should work.

• Slow opening of web form of planning

  Hi all

  I have a web form which consist of 12 dimensions and shapes, I talked about the stored data members. These stored data are members of level zero in the hierarchy and the form opens fine. When I moved this data member of level 0 to level five, the form takes longer to open.

  Problem: After changing a position of the Member from level 0 to level five, it takes more time to open the form. Still, he is a member of stored data and the IDescendants have a lot of members dynamic calc.

  Could someone explain to me why it takes more time being a member of stored data. Thanks in advance.

  If there are many members dynamic calc or member based on the dynamic Calc so maybe it takes much time to calculate them who is originally from slowing performance.

• Cluster of savings in the form of binary data

  I have a compound cluster of ~ 50 items of different types that I need to save it as binary data. Obvoiusly I could do with the method of "brute force" of 50 different entries in the file, but that seems silly.

  Is there an easier way to empty just the disk in the form of binary data?  By registering as a cluster seems to add extra characters.

  In a world of LV, I just recorded in as a variant, but it must be saved as binary raw in order to be read by another program as a C structure.

  There is the beautiful Boolean entry in the binary write for "add/array of strings of size."  Unfortunately, this boolean applies only to the type of upper-level data that is being written.  So whatever it is inside the cluster will always these lengths prefixed.  Therefore, you have to separate your data and write each piece individually.

• Substitution variables for the DTS functions in forms of planning

  
  I would like to use variables of substitution for QTD and last YEAR in a form of planning.  I have active DTS.  I can select them as members, but cannot enter as variables.

  I created a variable containing "Y-T-D (Feb).  I also tried 'YTD (Feb).   And I tried with and without quotes.  The form editor recognizes them as members period but I get an error when you run the preview: variable Substitution or member not found.

  Is someone can confirm that this feature does not exist or explain how to make it work?

  I'm getting APEX for the first time and I just read 2 days dev Application Express guide

  I tried to play and I can't create a report with the form that select data from several tables

  What I want to achieve is a report we'll say 'USERS' makes MANAGER_ID ID, NAME, with a form that allows me to create, delete, change users

  The problem is that, once the report with the form created, if I click on create (to create a user) it will ask me for id, name, and manager_id

  I need a water drop down which allows me to select managers in the table manager instead of manually insert Director id

  How do I do that?

  Two things:

  -I wasn't talking about method you import data but export data. You use the SQL method. Go to target Applications, select your application of planning/essbase, and set load method as a file. Memorize your settings

  Yes.

  In the top you go down to the Level0 and erase it. Then, you can use the SET AGGMISSG ON; statement in your aggregation, otherwise the data of the previous will remain where it is.

  If you have loaded data on the previous entries, while they will not be removed with higher education. They will do it with the bottom.

  I expect the top one be faster, also with an aggregation then.

  When it comes clear to load the data, then the aggregation could take place with the new data loaded, then the top is much faster. BUT if you have data in the previous, you have a data problem...

  Good data check procedure will come around that.

  Is it possible to hide a form of planning in the workspace, but shown in SmartView? I know it is possible to hide a form both workspace and SmartView, but this isn't what we're looking for.
