Matter of time for the DHCP lease

I have the WRT160N.  Great router, no problems at all.

I have a double NAT: Modem DSL--> WRT160N--> wireless devices

DSL modem is on the bridge and router is configured for PPPoE.  Works very well.

in any case, I use the port forwarding for a certain application.  I don't use it all the time; Some days I don't use at all.  I don't need a DD - WRT firmware.  I don't want to even set up a static IP address.  When the computer uses the application that requires a port forwarding, if its IP address has changed, it takes like 2 minutes to change the settings in the router config page.  Yet, it is a little annoying.

While I don't have to do it all the time, I changed the DHCP lease time, which in the router config page, appears to be called ' Client Lease Time.

It is located at 5769 now, which is like 3 days or more of what I understand.  I don't know if it's the 'max' or not...

My is... question can go higher than that?  If so, it would be really handy.

I updated 7200 = 5 days.

3 days = 4320.

  • E3200 needs reboot once a day - time for the client lease problem?

It's annoying - I need to reboort my router every day to get an internet connection? I have a desktop computer and a laptop more iPads, etc. The laptop loses connectivity every day around the same time. So far, my only solution is to reboot the router. I realize that the client lease time is set to 1 day by default, but it is not supposed to ask the modem for another day of life, when this happens?

I bought Linksys because of quality, but it's frustrating!

    Can anyone provide a recommendation?

    Thank you!

Well, you are on a cable or DSL connection? I don't know that I'll just move forward and try to determine some tips for your router settings:

    1. you use E3200 which is a double router broadband. So I think you'll find these settings:

I change the setting like QUACK says:

For the 5 GHz channel parameters, you can do channel width to 20 MHz only and channel 40 or 161...

For 2.4 GHz string parameters, you can make the channel width to channel 6, 9, 11 and 20 MHz only...

Your iPad will only see the 2.4 GHz so that they connect to. If your laptop can see the two strips, they connect to any broadcast signal is the strongest. If you are interested in reading about the difference between 2.4 and 5 GHz, you can read it here.

Can also apply you all the settings you change on the E3200 router your Wireless extender? It is important for computers/devices that are connected to your Extender gets the connection. The Wireless Extender usually extends the 2.4 GHz signal.

    Sorry for long post.

Just tell me if this doesn't work, I'll try to think more help

Many queries take less time the second time you run them. After the first performance, there may be many, if not all, lines in the buffer cache. Then the second round will not make any or all e/s physical but will obtain data from the buffer cache.

Also, you haven't checked that the MV was even used for the second run.

Drop the MV and make the query several times and means of the time. Then create the MV and do the same thing.

  • The time on the taskbar is passed to 3 hours earlier... it's show time for the Pacific. Help!

What happened one day after I told my new e-mail (eM Client) client that my listings at that time had been arrested. They are at the time of the Pacific. Maybe this has something to do with it? It's just a matter of resestting the clock on my taskbar, I think.

The taskbar is part of Windows, it has nothing to do with Firefox.

  • Possible to use the main clock FPGA as a basic Source of time for the NI 9234?

    Hello

I am running a NI 9234, and NI 9222 module on a cRIO-9114 chassis with a real-time 9022 controller, data acquisition on the 8 channels on the full sample rate, using the FPGA.

My problem is the synchronization of the data, where the NI9234 is usually a late acquisition, compared to the NI9222. I tried manually delay the NI9222 to take the first samples, but so far without success.

To solve this problem and also to ensure a rate of data more comparable on both cards, I was wondering is it possible to create a Source of time Base master for the NI9234 WITH THE FPGA (opposite to import from another NI9234 or similar module)? The NI9222 I already provide with sampling of the impulses from the FPGA (as expected with this module).

Another issue would be the characteristics of the exact chronology of the two modules, including in terms of synchronization between the beginning of the acquisition and the first samples of data. I couldn't find any information about it...

    Thank you in advance,

    Hello!

I've never heard of a possibility to use a time base FPGA with a module of Delta-Sigma.

But I think that the question should be what has not worked to delay the signal and how you did it. Have you read this article?

  • How to create a control of time for the while loop?

    Hi all

I want to control my time running of the loop. In other words, I want to stop everything in the execution of the loop after a time (in ms) that is defined by the user. For example user defines Control Panel for 5 seconds before a while loop runs and stops after 5 seconds.

I don't know is it possible with the while loop. I managed with the timed loop, but this must be wrong with my application. Y at - it of the other loops for timed control if it is not possible with while loop? There is also a simple loop with .vi random number (0-1) as an attachment.

  • What will be the best time for the update of the window?

Does anyone have a directive on execution of the Update window?

Someone has suggestions on when to do and how to do?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions

After you install installers, it will jump to the top message to reboot XP? or it will restart XP automatically?

Thanks a lot everyone for all the suggestions

Get WU to work for you, by choosing an option that works for you, for example you can be notified only and then you can choose to download and install, and reboot when it's convenient for you: -.

    Windows XP

To activate the automatic updates yourself, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start, click run, type sysdm.cpl, and then press ENTER.
    2. Click the automatic updates tab, and then click to select one of the following options. We recommend that you select the automatic (recommended) automatically download updates that are recommended for my computer and install them .
      • Automatic (recommended) automatically download updates that are recommended for my computer and install them

If you select this option, Windows recognizes when you are online and uses your Internet connection to find updates on the Windows Update Web site or on the Microsoft Update Web site that apply to your computer. Updates are automatically downloaded in the background, and you are not notified or interrupted during this process. An icon appears in the notification area of your taskbar when the updates are downloaded. You can point to the icon to display the status of the download. When the download is complete, you receive another message in the notification area so that you can review the updates are planned for installation.

        • Click to select the day and time for scheduled updates to download and install. You can schedule automatic updates for any time of the day. However, your computer must be on at the scheduled updates to install.
        • You can choose to install the updates as soon as they have finished downloading. To do this, click Download message (or the Update icon), and then click install. If you choose not to install updates when they finish downloading, Windows starts the installation on your set schedule.
      • Download updates for me, but let me choose when to install them

If you select this option, Windows recognizes when you are online and uses your Internet connection to automatically download updates on the Windows Update Web site or the Microsoft Update Web site. An icon appears in the notification area of your taskbar when the updates are downloaded. You can point to the icon to display the status of the download. When the download is complete, you receive another message in the notification area so that you can review the updates are planned for installation.

        • When you want to install the downloaded update, click the message (or the Update icon), and then click install to install the update.
        • If you do not want to install a downloaded update, click Details, and then click to clear the check box next to that update to decline.
      • Notify me but don't automatically download or install

If you select this option, Windows recognizes when you are online and uses your Internet connection to search for downloads from the Windows Update Web site or from the Microsoft Update Web site. An automatic updates icon and message appear in the notification area of your taskbar when new updates are available to download or install.

    • Click the icon or message to view the updates. If you do not want to download a selected update, click to disable the check box next to that update to decline. Click Start Download to download the selected updates. The automatic updates icon remains in the notification area of your taskbar, while updates are downloaded. You can point to the icon to display the status of the download.
    • When the download is complete, you receive another message in the notification area indicating that the updates are ready to install. Click the automatic updates icon or the message, and then click install to install the updates.
  • Click OK.
  • routers that will keep the dhcp leases in the flash memory?

If a router is turned off, it will keep its current list of active DHCP leases? Is there any router that will do it?

Sometimes when the internet is slow, my users will unplug the router/modem, but this results in IP address conflicts when new computers Gets a new IP address, but the router begins to give IP addresses since the beginning of the range that are already in use.

I know not all router consumer who would do this. Memory is rare on these routers and after a reboot, anything not absolutely necessary gets scrapped.

Your problem sounds more like a firmware bug or a problem of computers. By default, the DHCP server must check the availability of any IP address before sending a DHCP offer. He might try to resolve the IP through ARP or do an ICMP ping. Maybe the firewall on the computers block these packages. Or the DHCP server complies at all (that I consider a bug in the firmware).

What exactly needs to be verified with a sniffer network on a computer connected to the network. That should reveal if the router sends something to the DHCP offer or not...

  • "seconds remaining" gets kept for a long time for the copy of the files on a key

    I use Windows 7 x 64 SP1.

When I copy files to any device external storage, initially, it calculates the time... Indicates 3 minutes (or other) remains, and the time gradually boils down to 1 minute, 30 seconds, 15 seconds, etc... When it comes down to 5 seconds, it takes at least 40 seconds for the copy operation to be completed. What is the solution for this?

It is not a. WIndows 7 is simply bad to estimate the time of copying files. Windows 8 is supposed to be the best.

  • Download times for the table statistics

Is there a query I can run that will be how much time it took for the stats to collect on any given table during a task to gather stats from database?

If it was a full rally I could do something like take time away from the previous table, but this cannot be invoked in an additional bland as the previous table would have not been vitiated, I guess I could work on what table available to it, but it starts to get messy then.  Hope in a way would we apply more if anyone knows.

    See DBA_OPTSTAT_OPERATIONS

But it doesn't have the granularity that you need, if you haven't just gather_database_stats

  • Movement of the different times for the same region in TO_TIMESTAMP_TZ

As an example, I have the following sql:

    SELECT TO_TIMESTAMP_TZ (31 December 2013 13:30:30.1345 Europe/Rome"

    'MON-DD-YYYY HH24:MI:SSXFF TZR')

    GOT one

    , TO_TIMESTAMP_TZ (31 DECEMBER 2013 13:30:30.1345 THIS ')

    "TZDS HH24:MI:SSXFF MON-DD-YYYY")

    AS b

    FROM DUAL;

If you run this, you'll see that column A gives a difference of one hour, while the second gives the offset of 3 hours.

How this is possible, because in v$ timezone_names THIS is the abbreviation for the Europe/Rome?

    Any idea?

    Thank you

I finally thought to it. I was under the impression that the time zone abbreviation is unique for each time zone on the globe. They are not, so you can have THIS as an abbreviation for time zone for the Europe/Rome which is UTC + 2, but you can also have THIS for Lisbon/Spain which is UTC + 1.

Because of this when using TO_TIMESTAMP_TZ with TZDS alone, Oracle does not know what time zone you are making reference to and it will convert it to the time zone schedule sessions.

So well to convert a string to a timestamp with time zone time to specify the name of the zone (such as Europe/Lisbon) or a combination of zone name and the abbreviation for the time zone (Europe/Lisbon THIS or Europe/Lisbon CEST)
