  I create a standard invoice. Quantity x price subtotal =...

  I don't want a column of zeros scattered through my page, so I found a few simple JavaScript online make the fields empty when a value of zero:

  My knowledge of 'work' JavaScript is limited at best... but that seems to do the job well. The following problem when I try to format these fields as currency.

  The easiest way to do this is through the format in the field properties tab, but this seems to remove the formatting applied through scripts, as it would be a different formatting option.

  It seems that if I use a script to generate the empty fields, I will need to also use a script to format the fields as currency?

  Any suggestions?

  Adobe Reader is able to display these fields without entering the password for the PDF file.

  Is it possible for me to also get the values not the XMP data?

  OK, this is just metadata PDF I want, not specifically XMP and I skim the PDF specification and it is now clear how to handle encrypted PDF files.

  If you don't want to show any decimal places, this means generally that you want to round down to an integer. To round to the nearest integer, you could modify a single line of script in the Format:

  AFNumber_Format (0, 0, 0, 0, "$", true);

  and the same for the script of the hit. Note that this does not change the actual value of the field, it doesn't change what is displayed in the field. This is important if the value of the field is used in a calculation or exported, since it won't be the same as what is displayed. To change the value of actual field to round to an integer, it is usually best to use a custom validation script.

  I use the simplified notation filed to perform subtraction on a budget form.

  They all have an excellent work and have no problem display a value of zero when it's a simple subtraction (value1-value2).

  However, on my last field I want to take the total income and subtract what I spent (approximately 40 fields) and get a balance zero.

  When I try to do it I get this warning "the value entered does not match the format of the field [].

  The calculation works fine and displays the correct value for all the foregoing ".» 01 "and displays negative numbers. 01 "and underneath as well (if I go on the budget), she just may not show a zero, which is my goal for this equal to zero each month.

  Do not think of this as a band-aid, think the correct way to perform the calculation, because it is. Note that "Thithes" may be a spelling error.

• Help with tab script and auto custom calculation

  I have implemented a two-page order form in Acrobat, based on an InDesign exported to PDF and filled it with the fields for 30 items that can be ordered.  Each item can be ordered has a color, size, quantity, unit price and Total point (the last two are read only) field.  To the point Total, I used "value is the product of Quantity.x, Price.x of the unit") calculation and to calculate the subtotal, "value is the sum of the Total of the order of the day.

  My first problem is that the scope of subtotal does not reflect the exact amount I have label off a quantity field and enter additional data on the order form.  I would like for the date to be included in the subtotal as soon as it is seized.  I read a script custom hits (tab the cursor on the following fields after the form data of types of recipients in an area of the car) which could deal with this problem, but one) I can't find the script and b) which should be formatted custom for a field that must be the number in the format.

  My second problem is coming up with a custom to variable shipping rates, calculation script based on the subtotal:

  If something similar has been posted, I apologize! I tried to look for it and has not been able to find the answer.

  I have a form to determine the potential savings, if a customer makes our products to a competing product. Our sales staff filling in many areas that allow us to determine the annual cost that the customer currently committed, as well as the potential annual costs associated with our product. At the bottom of the page, using a simple calculation JS, it determines annual dollar savings by changing brands.

  I would also like to include the annual savings as a percentage of current costs, but for some reason, I cannot get the script to work. The error message that appears indicates: "the value entered does not match the format of the field [annual percentage savings]."

  Now, the two fields referenced in my script are formatted in dollars, so I don't know if this makes a difference or not. My script is below.

  I would use:

  In this way there is no division by zero or a negative number.

  I think you can do this with a SpinBoxField, if you extend it to support of Bitmaps rather than the text that is, it supports at the moment.

  I created a pdf to a word doc form.  I tested it and all fields of computing work very well, but then I'm going to post on our Web site and all calculation fields do not work.  The formatting in the field appears as well, which means that when I created the form to fill out that I made the fields of theses to represent a monetary unit (e.g. $5.00) and when I post on the web it appears simply as a number (5) and nothing in this column adds up.

  Any suggestions?

  No, you can't get them to work on any browser. Chrome has the most support for PDF and JavaScript forms, but it is not as comprehensive as Acrobat/Reader. Consider educate users to directly open the form in Adobe Reader.

  Hello!  I've never written a custom calculation, so I'm lost; could someone help me please write one round to high-low a.50/.49 with this field name:

  CreditedTotalLocal + OtherHE

  For example, if the value of this field, which is the result of the function "value is the sum of the (+) of the following fields" on two fields named CreditedXXXXLocalHE and CreditedOtherHE - between 3.0 and 3.49, this field should be 3.0.  If the value is 3.50 to 3.99, the field should show 4.0.

  I'm sure it's very simple, but I've tried some things from this and other forums without success.  Help, please!

  The above two functions to round the values decimal, myRound use - Dec for the decimal value to be rounded so that the DobuleRound use the positive value for the decimal number or powers of 10 as the 1,000 with the 3 myRound and -3 for DoubleRound.

• How to find a custom date field?

  I'm trying to recover contacts based on the value in a custom date field, and I can't get the search function to work. It works fine for me with other custom fields, for example this query:

  / data / contacts? Search = C_Job_Role1 = * HR & depth minimum = & count = 5

  Returns all contacts whose ends the Job role in HR properly. However, if I try the same thing with a date field, for example this query:

  contacts / data /? Search = C_Contract_Expiration_Date1 = * 1 * & depth minimum = & count = 5

  I get a response with the http 500 code - it's an internal server error, so presumably that choke the server when asked to perform a search on a date field.

  Is there a way to do this?

  I ran a few tests and it seems that endpoint to search as standard format (MM/DD/YYYY) date type, not deal with time at the time of unix. The following query (example) will work: C_Contract_Expiration_Date1 = 01/04/2012

  I'm sorry for the initial response. There are some points of endpoints that use the time unix for types date, and we will be more cautious about calling the difference in each context.

  Our field staff use many Excel files for project documentation.  Our organization moves for iPad instead of laptops and we found that a PDF file to be filled on-line is a great resource for our staff.  I have created several of these forms that contain multiple lines and I just starting to learn how to write custom calculation scripts.  I have a more complex than most calculation and I don't know if this can be written in script.

  Even if this is possible in the simplified field notation I need to automatically round up for and decimal point. I tried to use the custom calculation script, but I have no experience with java.

  You are missing the part 'value' after the second getField command.
