  So, I put a CD - RW in CD/optical drive
  and I tried to format, using the (not mastered) Live file system on Vista.
  Try first, the UDF 2.01 (default) then later, the UDF 2.50 version to fit with.

  At the end of the formatting process, a dialog box appears on the screen indicating that:
  "Format disk - Windows was unable to complete the format."
  Why is this?

  Hello. Thanks for all the posts on this topic. I have the same problem, as described by the op. But, while I use Avast, I have NOT the add-on from Astromenda which has been mentioned. However, I have the SB installed toolbar, and it has been recently updated, 29/12. I suspect that it is the culprit, if this problem is in fact not caused by an update of Firefox (my tiles have recently been reset on new tabs, and I suspect that Firefox for this problem).

  I am ready to remove the toolbar from the SB, but prefer to keep it (Yes, I admit I'm stupid) If this annoying 'new window = 2 tabs with 'new tab' at the top' would just leave.

  Apart from the removal of the toolbar SB... does anyone have suggestions? I don't see that all recently added add-ons/extensions that I don't recognize, apart from the update of the toolbar of SB.

  Updated: 5 minutes after this announcement, I disabled the toolbar of SB and restarted Firefox. No change.

  Thanks for posting the details of your system. I'm skeptical about the "CompTool0234 Community Toolbar". Could you disable some add-ons and see if that helps.

  On this tab:

  Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Plugins category

  Disable «Conduit Plugin»

  On this tab:

  Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Extensions category

  Disable the CompTool0234 community toolbar.

  Then very probably a link will appear to restart Firefox to make the change. Does make a difference?

I did everything, including resetting the phone to factory settings. It also does not send a text if IMessage is turned on. It switches immediately to Imessaging which of course, again use my data plan. Of course, I could use some help with this. BTW, my text messaging service is connected to my phone number and not my email. Who was one of the suggestions that support Apple told me to check. Never in my life have had so many problems with a phone since I bought this iphone 6 s.

  SMS is a function of the carrier, you will need to contact your cell phone provider and see what is the matter.

  IMessage uses very little data.
