Forms 11g - Weblogic Server - command prompts remain open?

is it true, that I have to log on to the windows server, start the Admin Server for the Weblogic Server domain manually.
If I want to go to the admin on the 7001 port Console?

is it true, that I have to log on to the windows server, start the Weblogic Server WLS_FORMS manually.
If I want to start any form?

Today, I want to just set up a server of Oracle 11 g applications as we would need for our customers.
So I installed Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g on Windows 2003 Datacenter Server US version named "Center."
I took the Version we just to test, cause on my machines the Oracle Installer rolls in German and
If this can make the problems I had so far.

I installed the following components:

So I start manually the Weblogic Server WLS_FORMS

Then the WLS_FORMS in the Weblogic administration Console server is running.

To reduce the memory: see my contribution to the post on the implementation of development Forms 11 g environment.
With respect to the guests: it is possible to set up a Windows Service for the launch of WebLogic. Refer to the manual to WebLogic "Managing Server Startup and shutdown.

  • Forms 11g, WebLogic and NodeManager

    Hello

I'm relatively new to form 11g. I am doing an installation in development mode, and all works well.

In my setup, I have to run little web - app (servlet). With iDS10g, I use Tomcat for this. Now, I try to use WebLogic. If in the WebLogic Console, I create a new 'server', listening on port 8080.

First question, so I want to run this server, I start Node Manager (I've never used before...). Why?

I deploy my war files and works very well.

Now I restart WebLogic and my new 'server' stay stopped. I must launch NodeManager to run it...

Is second question, possible that my "Server" runs automatically at startup of WebLogic? And if possible, without having to run NodeManager?

    Thank you!

I guess here that you have created a new server managed your installation of development? Technically speaking there is not much difference between the AdminServer and the managed server; for a development environment, I would save me the hassle of 2 developing weblogic servers so I don't know what you're trying to achieve? (to be honest I really don't get the point of having 2 managed servers for execution of the Servlets 3 in production either, but that's another story)

You can deploy your war on the AdminServer files as well - in forms 11.1.2 Oracle who done with servlets forms and reports both in development mode so there is nothing wrong with that. Instead to access your Application via Port 8080, you simply access it via port 7001 (or whatever port you used for AdminServer). No need to NodeManager – just start the AdminServer.

If you really want to use a server managed, with that you could start it upward the script startManagedWeblogic.cmd in the same directory that the startWeblogic.cmd is located (just pass the name of the managed server). But still - I don't see why it is not necessary to use a server here.

In production, you can choose to deploy your war AdminServer, WLS_FORMS or WLS_REPORTS file. If you configure OHS respectively it shouldn't matter much.

    see you soon

  • can we run 10143 on 11g weblogic server applications

    Hello!
My question is we have forms deployed on Oracle 10 g 10143 application server.
Now, we want to launch these forms on weblogic 11g.
so now, do we need these components to install

    1 - Database 11g
    2 - weblogic 11g
    3 - forms and reports 11g

or we need to migrate forms 10g and 11g.

    Please can someone help me...

Well well, to start, it would seem that you have a small problem of version number.

Assuming that you are referring to the Forms 10g Release 2, which would be the version 10.1.2.x.

With this in mind, you can move to 11 forms (part of Fusion Middleware 11.1.1.x), but your 10 modules (.fmb, .mmb, .pll) forms has to be regenerated in new. FMX. MMX, and. PLX files using the version 11 compiler, which is included with the installation of FMw 11.

Also, you wouldn't need to use a database of 11.x. You can also use 10.2.x. Please refer to the certification of product guide for more details:

The last download is Oracle WebLogic Server 11g Release 1 (10.3.1). I am a newbie and this makes number communicated to confuse me. Why are there two parts in the version? What does 10.3.1? Is this 10g or 11g weblogic Server?

Oracle launches its version 11 of their Fusion Middleware suite and Oracle Fusion Middleware 11 g includes Oracle WebLogic Server 11 g.
The version number of Oracle WebLogic Server 10.3.1 is because not that much has changed since 10.3.0 to really justify a major update, I guess.

Well, that's the question. I can't access the UI anyway what so ever.

  • Jdev 11G (11.1.1.3.0) ADF BC: Weblogic Server Samples

I installed the Studio Edition JDeveloper 11.1.1.3.0 from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/downloads/index.html. Of what I am gathering, the installed WebLogic Server (shipped?) with this isn't the same server that is installed if you have a stand-alone installation, BUT to install stand-alone WLS, you are supposed to install JDeveloper 11 g?

    Lots of questions...

    1. what I mean is... I would really like to watch samples, specifically the MedRec or MedRec spring sample, but I don't know how to do that? I did not go to any "samples" folder under my current folder structure, research from C:\Oracle\Middleware down.

2 do I need another copy of WLS, or custom install these samples in my current JDEV installed WLS? If so, how?

    3. where are the other examples and code examples that can be found in the book e14529.pdf roadmap?

Any help would be appreciated. Old JDEV used to include standalone OC4J that you can run the command-line (tuned to 8888) or in THAT JDEV incorporated listening on 8988. I guess I'm just trying to find something similar and a way to start looking at how to make WebLogic J2EE development, after the arrival of an Oracle c/o 10.1.2 environment (due to the requirement of Oracle Forms).

    4. suggestions on this as well?

    Confused...

    Eric

The integrated WLS is a stripped down version so it does not come with samples.
It is primarily designed as an easy way for you to test/run applications you build with JDeveloper.
On the JDeveloper OTN page, you will find a lot of tutorials and examples that show you how to create applications that will be run on WebLogic.
    http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/Overview/index.html
I suggest that start with this tutorial if you come from a background of forms:
    http://St-curriculum.Oracle.com/OBE/jdev/obe11jdev/ps1/ria_application/developriaapplication_long.htm

Insofar as the WLS samples, you can import the source of samples to the JDeveloper in new projects (see the existing source of project form)-, and then run that and they will deploy the integrated server.
Another option is to install a stand that only WLS and then samples will be there.
If you are missing samples WLS - try to post on the WLS forum.

Hello.  I did some of my files of Windows XP Dell system accessible on my home wireless network.  When I try to open the folder (which appears in the network folder) on my Sony Vaio with Windows Vista, I get the error msg that I have stated above in the title of this Post.

    The entire message starts like:

are not allowed to use this network resource.  Contact the

Administrator of this server to find out if you have the permission to access

"not enough server storage is available to process this command" tries to open the network when the folder shared.

I have a bitmap and a Jpeg screenshot captures showing the specific error message as well as the objects on my network - is possible I can join to this post?

This error message is misleading. See article Knowledge Base Microsoft Antivirus software may Cause Event ID 2011 for a likely solution, specifying a value of IRPStackSize 15 on the Windows XP computer. Boulder computer Maven
