What is the difference between ARM and x 86 processors?

This is the easiest way to differentiate between the two. ARM is under low voltage processor that runs most of all mobile devices, who understand, computers on tablets, phones and portable wireless data collection. These chips are not as powerful as x 86 and consume less energy, so they are perfect for mobile devices that require long battery life. X 86/plus AMD are the chips that run the 'real' PCs\MACs, laptops and desktop computers. The programs that are running on a platform must be respected for each of them. That's why you can not have standard Windows to run programs on Windows RT. Not to mention that you do not run an x 86 program like Photoshop (for example) on an ARM chip because it is not powerful enough, and the program would go really slow and be useless for most. Does that help?
