  One of my users try to modify a PDF file that does not currently have recognizable text. I understand that if nothing are recognized that you can't modify it until you run OCR.

  Although my agreement with Adobe Acrobat DC after choosing 'Edit PDF' Acrobat will automatically recognize the text on the first page to make it editable, even if for my user after choosing 'Edit PDF' they receive this error message:

  

  If I try the same process with the same document Adobe Acrobat Pro DC program automatically recognize the first page and make it editable.

  So my question is: is this problem that may occur because we are using Adobe Acrobat Standard? I tried to look at your site in order to know what are the features do not come with Adobe Acrobat Standard DC, but could not find information on OCRing records automatically.

  There is no direct option to remove the names of the PDF "in the recently visited list, however you can set the preferences and change the documents in the list recently used 0 or any other number according to your requirement.

  Go in Edition > Preferences > categories > Documents > Documents defined in the list recently used for a many appropriate as per your convenience. Save changes so that whenever you open Acrobat once again, these parameters do not change.

  The second option is as follows. This method is for Acrobat 10, but you can follow the steps and see if it solves your problem.

  1. Open regedit
  2. Go to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\10.0\AVGeneral\cRecentFiles"
  3. Delete the subkeys that you find here to clear history
  4. In the left pane, right-click on "cRecentFiles" & select 'permissions '.
  5. Click on "Advanced".

  In an environment Windows 8, how can set you all PDFs to open in Acrobat Standard or professional instead of drive? I tried right click on a PDF file in Windows Explorer, select Properties, then changing the default player to the professional application. Although it seems to work (generates no error), continues to open in the Reader PDF files. There must be a way to change this. I have spent about 15 minutes of Googling cela, but was surprised, that I have could not find any solution.

  Need help on comparison of PDF files.  First of all, this feature is available in the standard, or does it require Pro?  The plug-in is available but not active and I don't see a way to enable it.  The instructions on the site of Adobe said it is for the Adobe Acrobat family and does not expressly state that it is a feature for Pro only.

  In fact, Adobe Reader for the iOS and Android provide support limited Portfolio. They do not provide the Nice FlashMD interface which was available with Acrobat XI and previous versions, but it provides a list of the files in the portfolio, where you can open individual files within the portfolio.

  The built-in PDF support to Apple does not support the portfolios in any way other than the display of the default page lack of indication of such support.

  The description of what makes a PDF portfolio work in a PDF are public and have been for many years. But as far as I know, none of the authors of software has nothing with this info, so portfolio view only happens in Adobe software. Unfortunately, it is up to the authors of all what other software. Now, it is not surprising that portfolios have been ignored for years, because for years the portfolios only we did used Flash. Times change, but it may be too late for the portfolios.

  Hi, I created a PDF Portfolio for iPad document. I built the document in InDesign as a digital Publication (iPad 768 x 1024, vertical only). The portfolio contains a number of chapters, each chapter contains a number of pages. I built navigation hyperlinks in the PDF file in Acrobat DC. The PDF portfolio file works perfectly on desktop computers and I am able to view all chapter and pages, but when I try to open it on an iPad I get only directed to ' download X Acrobat or Adobe Reader X, or later "." I tried to open it on 3 different iPads that all running the latest version of Acrobat Reader DC and get the same message every time.

  I assume that "chapters" are individual PDF documents contained in your PDF portfolio.

  Adobe Reader/Acrobat DC mobile apps (for iOS and Android) supports the hyperlink to go to a page view in the same PDF document or open a web page (http://... or https://...).  Unfortunately, Adobe Reader/Acrobat DC mobile applications do not support the hyperlink to open a PDF document different (apart from the question of whether or not it is included in a portfolio).

  Please note that the more mobile PDF viewers for iOS and Android do not support portfolios.

  To ensure that your PDF document compatible with any what PDF viewers on desktop computers and mobile devices, I recommend the second version - "all pages together in a single file with hyperlinks.

  Congratulations to each of you to Acrobat 9 on App - V sequencing.  Unfortunately, according to the ETK (Toolkit Enterprise), the only application and version support for App - V at the moment is Adobe Reader 11.0.1 and later versions.

  I think it is more a technical problem, but as says Microsoft drivers device cannot be virtualized in the sequencing of App-V 4.6 SP1 Guide.

  Ignore the previous messages.

  The thing you look at is called the cover sheet: this is the page that users will see if their software may not support portfolios (or photos from Windows Explorer) and is NOT part of Portfolio browser. In fact, the cover sheet is the "parent" to the entire document and there is nothing more than a PDF of a page.

  To display the cover sheet in Acrobat, choose View--> portfolio--> Cover Sheet

  You can not delete it (as it is the only page of your document!) but you can change it. For example, you can create your own design and use page thumbnails click on 'Replace page' tool for Exchange on your new page. Be careful, the web link, however, it must stay there to help your recipients not Adobe.

  If you want to edit every leaf on every portfolio do you cover, replace the file "coversheet.pdf" in the Acrobat installation (there will be a series of them in subfolders, one for each installed language):

  C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\Acrobat\DocSettings\CombineFiles
