  8Gig of ram is barely enough for the OS systems and the background. I would certainly get as much ram as I could afford it, but your main stumbling block will be Logic 9 under 10.11.x.

• Crackle on audio/entry track record - no buffer, plug-ins or sound card. AAARGH!

  I have a slight Crackle on phonograms and supervision right of entry and via these forums and other troubleshooting failed diagnose the problem. Seems to be a product where caused by the audio signal, as occurs in response to an audio input (guitar and bass), not a constant or random noise. A faster attack of the audio signal produced more noticeable crackling.

  It happens to all sizes of the I/O buffers

  CPU load does not seem to be a problem - CPU monitor, both within the logic and across the system may display less than 10% (between all hearts) and it happens when dry recording in a project with a single track (audio) without plug-ins.

  Established between Apogee Duet and Scarlett Solo using different cables and which makes no difference.

  Does not occur during playback back already recorded audio - only new records and monitoring live (or recorded on a track and playback) entry

  Removed the unused midi drivers from (a thread somewhere suggested that for a similar problem).

Don't you no creaking when recording an audio file to QuickTime via the loudspeaker internal, next step, I can think of is to install Garageband (but reluctant to pay apple even £3.99 they want to download it to the app store!) and see if crackle present in audio recordings, in order to reduce it to a software problem (fingers crossed) all the material from the laptop. Or get a copy of logic 10.0 and see if the problem persists in this.

  Recently reinstalled logic 10.2.1 after repeated crashes (and abandonment of strength) when manually move the playhead... as well as other minor bugs 10.2.1 seems to have been shipped with, but this problem started a week or two after re - install, no problems so far here.

  As someone has any ideas other than a glance phone to Apple, which I fear would be very useful even when it doesn't seem to be a known issue.

  I am considering the purchase of 13 PS both the Nik Collection of Google - plug-in filters for use with PS Elements. The Collection of Nik is a package of 6-7 groups of plug-in filters. Someone told me that NOT ALL the Nik plug-ins filters are compatible with PS 13 items. I thought I would ask the source. Can anyone confirm that groups of Nik Collection plug-in filters are compatible with 13 PS elements? Thank you

  HDR Efex Pro 2 is the only group of plugin is not compatible with Photoshop Element 9 to 13, still other groups plugin works fine with Photoshop elements 13.

  Do somebody know a way how to launch the plug-in Adobe Photoshop in Lightroom?

  Especially the case is interesting when there only Lightroom and it is not an installed copy of Photoshop.

  Coming from CS3, I tried drag and drop but no joy.
  How can I get my plug-ins/filters is over - or should I continue to use CS3 if I want to use?

  It has been some time and I don't know I have even the original installers or not - should be a real hunting around to find them if I did.  Some don't matter if I lose, while many are often used.  It * must * be a simple drag and drop, migrate or import function for this - where is it?

  Check the plug manufacturers for updates. Many have updated their specifically for CS5 and 64-bit fact. Old plugins, I would like to reinstall for CS5 and you need to run 32-bit use. Advice in the doc below:

• Tried to download plug-ins for CS4, but problems.

  I just found out that CS4 doesn't have the extract filter, so I went to this link to download more plugins:

  I downloaded it, but I'm unable to install. The instructions tell me to 'access the application.
  "folder, double-click Setup and follow the on-screen instructions ' but there is no installer or the application folder. I also tried to open the download, selecting English > Googies > optional Plug-Ins > Filters > Extractplus.plugin, but it says that "cannot complete your request because Photoshop does not recognize this file type."

  I'm at a complete loss here. All that I want is the filter extract. I tried 2 different downloads, the two nothing helps. Help, please!

  The only document you need to read is the "OptionalPluginsReadMe.pdf' in the folder Goodies/Optional plugins your mounted diskimage your uploaded.

  On my new system build, Vista 64 bit, CS4, I can not plug-ins appear in the list of filters.

  I put them in the plugins folder, I have always, and restarted Photoshop, even restarted the computer, but no dice.

  Maybe I'm forgetting something obvious. Can someone offter any suggestions?

  I'm assuming that you ask about third-party plug-ins 3.

  Make sure you put 32 bit plug-ins in the files of programs (x 86) directory and 64 - bit plug-ins in the Program Files directory. On Vista64, two separate PS applications can be installed (and default).

  On my old Mac (Illy9), I got a few useful plug-ins called FILTERiT4.

  No idea whence they came.

  All kinds of tools of the objective - lens Fisheye, your goal etc and some other stuff and more.

  Does anyone know if there is something like that now, it works on CS? I still hop back on my old machine to produce these effects.

  Not a pure 'stop' in itself, but I couldn't find a better place to get the message.

  It is the third in a row, at level of major version of Mozilla that broke the existing plug-ins. While I realize that there are "few" to update the plugin engine to allow better usability, better security and (theoretically) better management of memory/system resources, it is absurd. Honestly, this is the last massive update for Firefox, I use, at all, if it goes in V7. There is probably no perceptible change to the basic user, other than boredom, growing deep and infinite. Indeed, since the R4, I had problems with the Google toolbar. A product since then, they have opted for lower development, as reiterated in no small part because of these changes. You can list for me the specific code changes that were absolutely * necessary * for these future updates that caused the toolbar become too much work for the support of Google?

  I realize this is a free product and you have actually taken in charge of the only user. I can say, however, that I tried to repel the gripes and complaints, and some other friends of mine after having "sworn" FF for years. If this continues, I happily switch to Chrome support instead and not look back.

We cannot force the developers to do this, but we are working on ways to make it easier. We know that it is a major problem for many users.

  Many modules such as the Google toolbar were not actually broken by Firefox 5 or 6 and actually will work correctly if you select them with the Add-on Compatibility Reporter. But given that Google has stopped maintaining their toolbar, you might be interested in this list of modules taken in charge that can be replaced.
