FreeCell and Solitaire

It's probably very basic for most of your users, but I just bought a small laptop/netbook computer that has Windows 8 is installed, and I find it totally different from Windows 95 (where I started) and XP (where I am now on my desktop PC).  What I would like is to access on Windows 8, Freecell and Solitaire, as I have on XP.  I don't play Xbox games type (I'm 70 years for the love of heaven) and am happy relax the 15 odd minutes or so away two games above.  Is it possible to get them on Windows 8, and if so, how?  Help, please!

  • Where are the built-in games like FreeCell and Solitaire on Windows 8?

What happened to freecell, spider solitaire, solitaire regular, hearts, Spades, etc. which was available on earlier versions of Windows?  They are not on Windows 8.

The built-in games that were in previous versions of Windows are not available in Windows 8. Instead, there are a few free games available on the Windows Store product Microsoft applications (in your Start Menu). Card by Microsoft games are called Microsoft Solitaire Collection. There is also Microsoft Minesweeperand Microsoft Mahjong . You should note that these are different from what you had previously.

You can also search applications game 3rd party on the Windows store.

    Hello

The files must be placed in their respective installation files.

    FreeCell.exe:

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FreeCell

    Hearts.exe:

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Hearts

    Solitaire.exe:

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Solitaire

If you want to start these programs from the desktop, click on the .exe file for the game and select the send to/desktop (create shortcut) option.

This will place a shortcut on your desktop that you can double-click to start the game.

  • Currently I have the two ("FreeCell" and "Spider") to 99% of victories and want to keep the TWO scores is going when I go from Vista to Windows 7.

    Original title: spider solitaire

OK, this may sound stupid, but I play a lot of solitaire in the form of "FreeCell" and "Spider". (thousands of games scored, both were copied from XP to Vista)

Currently, so 99% of wins, and here to keep the TWO scores will when I go from Vista to Windows 7.

Is it possible to transfer the scores as well as two games?

I moved/copied two games on a secondary hard drive (the two files of game of the C; \program files\microsoft games\ freecell) (& spider solitaire) including hidden files.

I'm just worried, scores can be kept elsewhere in another folder & I'll lose them... two .mui is copied to the new folder as well as the rest of the files (in the case of assistance)

Someone tell me if the scores will transfer more once I have switch to Win7? Or do I have to look elsewhere?

    Thank you.

You run Easy Transfer on the Vista installation, and then restore from Windows 7.

Easy transfer should should be on the files that contain the stats but I don't know if they will be compatible. Since they resumed their XP to Vista, I do not see why they not well with Windows 7.

Regarding Windows Mail, what I understand, it can be done, but it is not taken in charge and there may be unforeseen problems accordingly.

  • How to cancel a "save game" that keeps returning to Freecell and Mah Jong Titans?

My Freecell and mah jong games titans keep bringing the same games saved once - I can't move. Is it a virus or what?

I had this problem also. I have Windows 7. I found a solution that worked for me.

I went into 'Control panel' and chose 'features of the program. I selected "turn Windows features On and Off". I removed the check mark from FreeCell under games. I left the 'control panel '.

I then did a search for files on my computer for the word "freecell". My goal was to find that everything about "FreeCell" and remove it from my computer. I found a folder in 'My music' which had a subfolder named \SavedGames\Microsoft Games\Freecell.  (I have no idea how it got there and I think you might find the folder anywhere, not necessarily in my music.) I deleted this file. I also removed the icon in my Dock of Windows FreeCell. I did a search on the word "freecell" again to make sure that nothing was left. Research found without any reference to 'freecell.

I then back to 'control panel '; chose "features of the program." seclected "turn Windows features on and Off"; and well, put a check mark next to FreeCell under games.

    It worked for me.

  • How can I play Minesweepr, FreeCell and Spider on Windows8

I switched from Windows 7 to Windows 8 and would like to play Spider, FreeCell and Minesweeper. How can I?

    Hello

Thanks for posting the question in the Microsoft Community.

Games that appeared in previous versions have been removed from Windows 8.

Check the store for available games that you can install.

If you have additional questions on the computer, please ask your question about Windows and we will be happy to help you.

    Thank you.

  • I bought Windows 7 Professional and I can't find Freecell or Solitaire. A they get eliminated or is it possible to unlock? ___Thank you.

I click on the games, none listed.
I click on the Games Explorer, no crystallized.

    Hello Ron,

You may need to install.  Go to control panel, click programs and features, and then on the left side you will see an option that says: "Tour of the Windows features turn on or off" click it and a window will appear that says: "Please wait."  Expect that it ends and then you should see a folder inside that says 'Games' and you can place a check mark next to it and click on Ok, and it will install all the games.

Let me know if you need additional assistance or are having problems.

    Thank you
    Kevin

  • FreeCell and hearts are turned on, but wont open.

I have icons like Freecell hearts Spider Solitaire but when I try to open, they do nothing. These boxes are all checked as enabled in the 'turn programes market. "

You can open the games directly from their .exe files? To do this, for example, for FreeCell:

    1. open Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer)

    2. navigate to:

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FreeCell\

    3. double-click on FreeCell.exe .
