  • FSX aircraft try to download files through the Word.

I have Flight Simulator x and when I try to download the files they download in Word.

    Hi fred1834,

o file which you try download?

o operating system that is installed on the computer?

See if the suggestions below help you.

    1. take a look in the FSX directory. By default, Microsoft Flight Simulator X is installed in C: > Program files > Microsoft Games > Microsoft Flight Simulator X.

    2. create a new folder and name it, for example, of the aircraft. You can use this folder to store aircraft for example custom objects.

    3. go to the folder C: > Documents and settings > username > Application Data > Microsoft > FSX directory. Open and edit the FSX.cfg file.
In the "Main" section near the top of the file, look for a few lines at the beginning of the script with:

    SimObjectPaths.X = xxxxxx

Copy the last one of these lines and paste it on a new line of text. Then, increment the value of X for the next higher number. Remember to change the path of this new line after the "Plane" number (or any name that you used for your new folder in step 2). Examples: SimObjectPaths.14 = Aircraft / SimObjectPaths.227 = (your new folder name). Save the FSX.cfg file.

    4. Subsequently, download airplanes and other objects of animation in the folder that you created in steps 2 and 3.

Your new device should appear in the selection menu when you start FSX after this tutorial.

  • updated 32-bit to 64-bit vista if I can use the extra ram for FSX. but many download problems.

    Hello

I'm a nut FSX but have very IT limited knowledge. I wanted to achieve the best result for FSX (this 2 me not a game cos I can afford is more to fly the flat light where I 300hours and noticed a true likeness in fsx to plans I stole) so I bought the new PC i7/920 call t0 3.6 ghz. NVIDIA gtx285. 6 GB/ram/166 corsair.and installs 3 x monitor @22 inch with TrackIR 5.I thought I was going to enter Heaven FSX. However majority or all of the FSX CD I my system 32 bits do not appear in the installation of 100%. I appreciate the new way of loading FSX in 64-bit is different from 32-bit, etc.. My main complaint is I lose my GPS function on mission downloads and it's not good. I understand there is a way to increase the use of the ram for 32-bit (works 100%) where there has never been a problem, but seems very complicated. I currently use the resolution of 1980 but 3 screen in place will be allowed to 1680 etc.. HOW can I REACH 100% DOWNLOAD WITH 64 BIT as I can with 32 bits, which is limited to 3 GB of ram. Any FSX readers in addition to my download problems, what I need to have an incredible fast pc including 4 times cheaper than my cp very dear son. FSX is super super smooth with cadence to the max

    Hey booleyz,

Vista 64 bit is compatible with the game and you should get all the functions. When you download missions and if missing the GPS function, imply that there are no required files on the PC for the game. I suggest that you uninstall and reinstall the game once and see if it works.

You can also try to reduce the graphic details in the game Options.

Here is a link I found that contains information about this:

  • Download for FSX using Vista

Dear experts, please help. My first love of game is Microsoft FSX and I started with a laptop running Windows XP operating system and found it easy to download airplanes from sites Web de Sim vol. I got the chance to upgrade my standard gaming with Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 laptop. I downloaded files on the net plane and can see the files in FSX but cannot bring them into lists of aircraft in free flight option. I think I'm wrong for the WinRAR / areas of Adobe.
Y at - he please a step by step (or download of Vista for Dummies) guide to confirm and explain the procedure.
Can provide details of updates to laptop and FSX and Add-ons if necessary.
    Thank you
    Kind regards
    Paul Reynolds 'Tubby '.

    Tubby Reynolds,
Your best resource is going to be the site where you got the files from, they should have the installation instructions.  Given that these are third party add on files, and not Microsoft files, I can only point you to resources where these types of files downloaded.  Try this one:

    http://www.simviation.com/acinstall.htm

Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

  • Download FSX Deluxe problem

Hello.  I've been running of FSX Deluxe edition on my Windows 8 system without any problems for over 3 months.  However, two days ago the game stopped working properly.  I ran the repair without result, then I uninstalled the program.  When I tried to reinstall the program began normally, but when the program got the file Scenery\0202\Scenery DEM 0202.BGL program stopped.  An error message appears indicating that the _29CE1D35F472413D94435F20B1452234 file does not exist, and gave me the CAB file ' D1Feat ~ 3 error 1334.  I went in the CAB file and found that _29CE1D35F472413D94435F20B1452234 is not present.  I think it is the BGL file that was and is now causing the fsx is not to install.  I've been all over the internet looking for other people with the same problem, but impossible to find something like this.  Is it possible to know what Scenery\0202\Scenery 0202.BGL dem file is, and how do I get this file on the CD?  I did everything from cleaning the cd, download the installation on my hard drive files.  but he always says that this file is missing when I go to install.  If the solution is on the net, I'd like to know where he is.   I hope this post makes sense.  Thank you.

  • need to download net framework 1.1 to 4.5 x 86 for FSX

I need to download updated net framework 1.1 to 4.5 32-bit to a 64-bit system

    Hi Cathy,.

.NET Framework 1.1 is not supported on the Windows 8. In some cases, the .NET Framework 1.1 is specifically identified as necessary for an application to run. In these cases, you should contact your provider of independent software (ISV) so that the demand for upgrade to run on the .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 or a later version.

I suggest for the link and follow the steps in the Microsoft KB article.

  • FSX and installation error 1603

Yesterday I installed Flight Simulator and everything worked fine.  Today, it will not be open.  I got a message on InstallDriver Module.  So, I completely uninstalled everything, downloaded install sanitation (na see FSX in the list of programs) and I tried to re - install.  I get an error 1603 feature transfer error.  I use Vista Home Premium SP2 on a HP Pavilion.  Any help?

    Hi FSXguy,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!

    First thing to make sure is to start with the installation in the administrator account and also;

Method 1: Verify that the Windows Installer service is set to automatic

1 Windows Vista or Windows 7

Click Start, type services.msc in the search box and press ENTER.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.
    2. in the list of Services, double-click Windows Installer.
    3. in the properties of Windows Installer dialog box, click Automatic in the startup type list.
    4. click on start, click on apply and then click OK.
    5. start the installation of the software.
    If this makes no difference then;

Method 2: Perform a clean boot and clear the Temp folder

When you start Windows as usual, some programs start automatically and run in the background. These programs may include antivirus and system software that may interfere with the installation of the product. When you perform a clean boot before you start the installation, you prevent these programs from starting automatically. To perform a clean boot, follow the steps appropriate to your version of Windows.

Step 1: Restart the computer by using a clean boot

Note to complete this procedure, you must be logged in as an administrator or as a member of the Administrators group. If the computer is connected to a network, network policy settings may prevent you from performing this procedure.

    1. open System Configuration.

    Windows Vista or Windows 7

    a. click on start
    (b) in the search box, type System Configuration.
    c. in the list programs, click System Configuration.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.
    2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.
    3. Windows Vista or Windows 7

Under Selective startup, clear the following check boxes:
    Load System o services
    startup items load o
    o use original boot configuration
    4. click on the Services tab.
    5. Click to select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.
    6. click OK and then click on restart.

Step 2: Delete the Temp folder

To clear the temporary files folder, follow these steps:

    Windows Vista or Windows 7

    1. on a computer that is running Windows Vista or Windows 7, click Start
type folder in the search box, and then click Temp in the list programs.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.
    2. from the Edit menu, click Select all.
    3. on the file menu, click on delete.
    4. When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.
    5. try to start the FSX program. If you receive the error message that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section, remove the program, and then reinstall the program.

Let us know if the information helped reinstall the game or for any further assistance.
