  • ETLs process - full vs. incremental loads

    Hello
I work with a client who already have implemented Financials Anlysis in the past, but now he must add purchases and Supply Chain Analysis. Could someone tell me how to extract these new subject areas? could I create Plans of executions separated in DAC for each subject or I have to create an ETL that contains the 3 areas?
Please help me! I also need to understand what is the difference between full and incremental load, how to configure the DAC to run extraction either full or incremental?
    Hope someone can help me,

    Thank you!

Regarding your question "multiple execution plan": I usually just combine all subjects in a single execution plan. Especially considering the financial impact Analytics has on the areas of procurement and Supply Chain.

The difference between the full execution plans charge and incremental charge exists mainly in the qualifiers of source date constraints. Incrmenetal aura execution plans a comparison $LAST_EXTRACT_DATE $ against the source system. Plans to run full load will use $$ INITIAL_EXTRACT_DATE in SQL.

A task is performed with a "FULL" loading command when the last_refresh_date for this job target tables is null.

It could be a number of reasons of a battery discharged to a problem with the charging circuit.

You neglected to mention which version of Windows you are using.

You can create a detailed report on the State of the battery to double check the battery status.

    1. go to Start / all programs / Accessories. Click on the command prompt and select run as administrator.

2 in the command prompt window, copy / paste the following command.

    powercfg-energy-output %userprofile%\desktop\energy-report.html

    Press ENTER.

Wait for the command to complete (usually about 2 minutes).

This create a file named energy - report.html and place it on your desktop.

  • Laptop crashes after the battery is connected, must charge laptopn until I use it... irritating

My laptop caused a lot of problems and I don't know why. This is beacause of my driver problem? By the way, my laptopn was bought in year 2007 while the driver is old enough so it's because of my driver? My battery seems fine, I bought it not too long because my previous charged was broken and the new charger autour cost $99.So can someone help me?

You have a hardware problem-the battery, the charge adapter, the connections between then, or maybe even something else (I can't say without testing).  It is possible the battery you bought is not exactly compatible with your system, if it was not EXACTLY the same battery.  I recommend that take you to a repair shop of computer good reputation for service and a diagnosis of the problem.  You could also send it to the manufacturer for service.  Compare the costs, the calendar, warranties, parts availability, reputation and any other factor consider you important and make your choice.

Why are removing you the battery in any way - why isn't she always left in the laptop and the charger plugged in during the night (even if the system is stopped) in order to regain full battery charge and this problem never occurs (even if you still have a problem that needs to be fixed - at least irritation will decrease until get you it fixed)?

And what driver are you talking about?  You said nothing about what driver for this device or is that the problem or when it occurs or when he started or whatever it is - and we have need to know these things to help.

I hope this helps.  Please answer the questions above before repair in case we discover another possible cause that can avoid this need.

    Good luck!

    Hello

When a Li-ion battery loses a percentage of it's load capacity, you can see inconsistencies as you describe in the for laptop charging circuit.

Typical life for a Li-ion battery is 1 to 3 years, depending on how it is used.

until 4 years later, I got my new laptop, the battery remained in excellent condition with load capacity full not escape

as do other batteries when they stay at 100% and reload constantly.

Is it possible on Windows 7 pro to change the threshold of battery charge to stop less than 100% load to save battery life

    Hello

In normal circumstances as soon as the lithium-ion battery is full, a properly functioning charger will stop the charge and will only engage when the battery voltage drops to a low level. Most of the users do not remove AC power, and this practice is safe.

The latest Lithium-ion batterires have a limited number of Discharg/charge cycles.

You can create a detailed report on the State of the battery to double check the battery status.

    1. go to Start / all programs / Accessories. Click on the command prompt and select run as administrator.

4 to calculate the amount of full Charge capacity left in the battery split the value of the last Charge full rated capacity and multiply by 100.

For this example , use the following numbers.

    Nominal capacity 4400

    Last full 2937

Calculator enter 2937 and divide by 4400.

Multiply the multipliez le resultat result by 100 , then press =.

    The result will be 66,75

This means you have 66,75% of the nominal capacity of the battery.

    Hi Mustafa

This information shows that your battery has 62% of the original capacity left. Even if it's a little weak, it is not at a critical point where the battery should be the cause of all the problems. The typical Li-ion battery will last for 1 to 3 years.

I suggest you do a normal backup and then differential periodically.  This avoids that the difference between the initial backup and changes made to the files.  If you are happy with the changes, do the differential backup.  When you make other changes and that you do not have the old files, it is safe to do a new differential backup and delete the previous.  This saves disk space.

    Hello

These figures show that the battery is always 100%.

If you still see the sector, message on the battery meter does not charge, perform the following steps.

The situation you describe can usually be fixed by doing a Cycle of power on the laptop.

    Perform the following steps.

    1. shut down the computer.

2 unplug everything from the computer. This includes the AC adapter / CC, Modems and routers and external devices, such as printers, disks, USB devices, etc. Nothing should be left plugged into the computer.

    3. remove the battery.

4 wait 30 seconds. Press and hold the power button on the laptop for 15 seconds. This evacuates any excess electric energy out of the laptop.

5 reconnect everything on the computer, including the power adapter and the battery.

Start the computer and check the results to see if the problem is resolved.

  • Cumulative incremental?

I hope that you all can answer a question for me. I was under the impression that a CUMULATIVE backup and an INCREMENTAL backup were two different things.

EXTRA STRENGTH : copies only the data blocks that have changed since the last full incremental backup, where the integer is 0 or 1 (see example 2-16).
CUMULATIVE : copy data blocks used since the last backup of level 0 (see example 2-16).

So, I'm going to 'Example 2-16'...
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/backup.111/b28273/rcmsynta007.htm

Example 2-16 Performing a Cumulative Incremental Backup

This example backs up all blocks changed in the database since the most recent level 0 incremental backup. If no level 0 backup exists when you run a level 1 backup, then RMAN makes a level 0 backup automatically. Any inaccessible files are skipped.

    BACKUP
      INCREMENTAL LEVEL 1 CUMULATIVE
      SKIP INACCESSIBLE
      DATABASE;
I'm confused. I thought that cumulative/differentials were exclusive types of backup. How the two can be referenced in the same block of code?

    Thank you

    Hello

Please donot merge in the same written document

    Incremental backups:

An INCREMENTAL level 0 backup backs up all blocks of data in data files to back up. A level 0 incremental backup is identical to the contents of a FULL backup
But unlike a full backup, the level 0 backup is a part of the incremental backup strategy.

A backup copy of level 1 only changed blocks. A level 1 incremental backup is differential or CUMULATIVE.
    * If they are cumulative, RMAN backs up all blocks changed since the last level 0 backup.*
    * If the differential, RMAN backup blocks updated since last level 0 or incremental level 1 backup.*
