My laptop is plugged in, but the battery is not charging

My system is win7 Ultimate, 32-bit operating system. My laptop is Toshiba Satellite - C600 - 02L, processor: Intel (r) Pentium (R) CPU, P600 1.87 GHz, 1.87 GHz... I bought it about a year and eight months ago.

I noticed that the battery light is off. I checked the battery meter icon & he said the PC was plugged, but the battery was not in charge. In the Device Manager window, I found that a device was not working properly. The details of this device are:

Device type: drivers Non Plug-and-Play

Service name: MpKsl45a6e13d

This device is not present, is not working properly or is not all its drivers installed. (Code 24).

I don't know if this has nothing to do with the problem, but if so, what is the solution to this problem? Please help me solve this problem.

Thank you.

Hi Mustafa

This information shows that your battery has 62% of the original capacity left. Even if it's a little weak, it is not at a critical point where the battery should be the cause of all the problems. The typical Li-ion battery will last for 1 to 3 years.

I would recommend that you go to Toshiba Support forums and check to see if there is a utility to check the status of the material of the AC/charge circuit on this laptop. Here are a few links for your convenience.

  • My laptop is plugged in, but the battery won't charge

    Hello

In the last two months, capability of my laptop to charge its battery has degraded.
She went to a battery completely (100%), not being able to load beyond 98% and then 66% and 30%, and now finally, it says "0% availability (plugged in, charge)", but it never increases support.

Thus, the laptop works when plugged into the charger, but does not illuminate when it is attached only on the battery.

I rebooted the computer several times - first to stop the machine, then unplug it, remove the battery, press and hold the Start button for a minute, then put the battery back, plug the charger in and rebooting the machine.

I installed updates for "Stacks" (IE. Microsoft AC adapter, compatible ACPI Microsoft control method battery and battery Composite Microsoft) in Device Manager.
I also uninstalled the Microsoft ACPI complaint method stack and shutdown and restarted the laptop several times.

Earlier I called Toshiba support and update the BIOS of 1.50 to 1.70, then restarted the computer, but yet again, the battery won't charge.

I bought a new battery, which showed that it was fully charged when when I have attached to my laptop, but when exhausted 0% load, I got the same message as for the other battery: "0% availability (plugged in, load).

I am really puzzled. If not, how can I try to increase the capacity of my laptop battery?

In my opinion, old battery was certainly defective.
Is your new original battery, Toshiba battery or any part of third-party product?

  • my computer is plugged in but the battery is not charging WHY?

Why is my battery no load but plugged?

    Three reasons...

    1. The battery is getting old and not in good condition
    2. The power supply on the side of the machine has been fired and is no longer in contact
    3. Circuit of the charger inside the laptop does not work as it should.

Which is more likely to apply to you?

  • (plugged in, load) but the battery is not charging

    Hello!

    I have a problem with my hp laptop Pavilion dv6 - 2190ev.

The laptop cannot start if the charger is connected only (and the battery). It will only start if the battery is on. Also, the led and the laptop displays: (plugged in, load) but the battery won't charge!

The battery and charger are ok, because I tried on another laptop and work there!

So, the problem seems to be on the laptop. I also update the BIOS and the problem persists.

Can someone help me solve this problem?

Looks like you did a few good troubleshooting at this point.  One thing which is ofter overlooked in these questions is the motherboard.  Here is an article by HP, battery not power Notebook or hold a Charge.

Please take a look.  There are suggestions for troubleshooting for the power supply, motherboard and battery, as well as links to other useful information. I'm sorry this isn't a simple solution, but you could just find very useful information in the article.

    Good luck with it,

MY LAPTOP WILL ONLY START WHEN CONNECTED TO THE UNIT FROM THE WALL BUT NOT SE LOAD AT ALL. I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO LOAD A NIGHT & STILL NO CHARGE WHAT SO EVER. WHAT CAN I DO TO FIX THIS? WHAT IS MY HARDWARE?

The battery would be my first guess that the PC works directly on the charger - but it could also be the program to load the battery and connections.  Remove and replace the battery to make sure that the connections are solid.  If you have another battery (or access to another battery, you can try to see if the problem persists or if he disappears - then you will be very well known.)  In any case, if this is not possible, I recommend that take you it to a repair shop computer (or return it to the manufacturer) for the diagnosis, repair or replacement.

I don't know any way to test this situation without special equipment or replacement parts.  You can always try to re - install the operating system to rule out a software problem (if you want to do business with what this implies in terms of data backup and reinstall applications and reconfigure the settings and others).  Without info on the manufacturer, brand and model (and operating system), I can't help you more in this option.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Charger works, but the battery is not charging upward

    Hello!

My Macbook Pro end of 2013 is connected to a charger, and the charger provides power to the computer, but the isn´t of battery to charge up. It remains on the same percentage of power, or even go downstairs when you use energy-consuming applications. When I click on the symbol of the battery on the top of the screen, it says in the tab that opens: "Battery not charging" (I have a non-English version, but I'm guessing that this TI something like this)

Is there anything I can try to fix it?

I managed to fix it, I just had to clean my charger port and it started working again!

Is what brand and model of printer?

I do not work unless your new router has the same SSID and password wireless as the old. Consult your printer documentation to find out how to handle the situation. For example, some Lexmark wireless printers have a program called Configuration Utility Wireless in the Lexmark folder under all programs on the start menu that is used to set up the printer when changes are made to the wireless network.

  • I always use my laptop with the cable plugged in but the battery icon becomes sometimes red indicating that the load. Can you explain why?

In a front of my laptop, there is a line of icons.  When I turn on my laptop, all icons become normally blue.  But sometimes, the battery icon turns rered indicate that my laptop recharges.  I always turn on my laptop with the cable is connected, the battery should not turn red, does?  Could you explain?

Batteries "will always lose" part of their load.  It is quite normal that the laptop checks charge battery and "on upward.

When my laptop (HP Mini 5103) connected to the battery is not recharged at all and still at 0% charge level in the toolbar of Windows 7. Check the BIOS battery displays a result with the error: FAILED ID PU0333-5HF71E-XD6V4J-C0AG03. It seems the battery exploded. But I have some doubts about this because the icon looks like another work, for example without red cross on it. That's why I want to be sure that is not the issue in the laptop itself. • The battery does not charge on Hp 4340 s. (Bettery and charger are fine)

    Hello to all friends.

    I have the following problem.

I have a Hp probook 4340 s. The battery was fine (now up to 6-7 hours). One day the battery it itself has stopped charging. I assumed that it was the fault of the battery, but when I ordered another battery and we have tested in the local store that does not load.

The thing is that with the computer it works normally even without battery.

When I install the battery and plug the power adapter, the computer works normally, the indicator shows organge status (under load), windows showing (0% load), but remains at 0%... After about an hour or two the light starts flashing organge.

I don't know where is the problem... from the little, I understand that the battery is that the charger is fine, but for some reason the circuit inside the computer can not charge the battery?

    Can anyone help please?

    Thanks in advance

  • The battery is not charging!

I noticed that my phone was at 50% battery, I used it and knew that it was much less than 50 percent, so I plugged it in to charge.

The phone knows the charger is plugged in, but the phone is dead anyway.

He did charge for a few minutes, I walk back, and he said battery was 50%.

But after more died a few minutes of use.

I really need my phone to work right now, is there any solution for this?

  • Can we keep the laptop plugged even after the battery is fully charged?

When my battery is fully charged, is it acceptable to continue using the charging or is it better to unplug? My friends have different opinions on this topic and one of them said to me that if I continue to load while it is fully charged, it quality will be reduced or something. Is this really possible?

    Hello

The best information comes from the machine system.

Batteries and loads in portable computers today are designed to stay in the computer
available to use and reload. The system more now have an automatic release of configuration which
will drain the battery a bit then are. That helps keep the battery refreshed
If the battery has more power and lasts longer.

  • Satellite A30 - electric light flashes and the battery does not charge

    Hi guys,.

I have the model above and recently, when I plug in my power cord to the back of the laptop instead of the usual constant green light loading, the indicator flashes and the light orange low battery always flashes as well.

I have checked the plug, unplugged the power cord from the laptop and plugged back again but does not help. A few times it started loading so everything went well and now he again refuses to load.

Any suggestions how I can solve this will be highly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Looks like a hardware problem

Usually if the power light blinks then it does not sound good because the LED provides an error code which can be read by a technician for laptop

But before you will contact the technician for laptop for help, try to do it:
Remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter from the portable computer
Wait about 20-30 minutes and then reconnect the two parts.

Then try to turn on the laptop

If it doesn t help that it s time for the call of the ASP

  • The battery does not charge.

    Hello

I have a Compaq CQ58, who said "Pluuged, to the do not load ' for the last 2 days. The laptop is only 7 months, and before that had a pretty good battery life. I tried to turn it off at night, and leaving load like that, but it makes no difference. I use this laptop for minutng meetings, so this will be a major issue for me.

This model is known for having a battery problem?

    Thank you

    Pheobe

    No worries.

You have access to another AC adapter?

You see an icon that indicates the power adapter is connected when it is plugged?

Follow the instructions on this document from HP web. Glance at the bottom of the document to find the section entitled manually calibrate the battery. Be aware that a manual calibration can not solve the problem if the problem is actually due to the power control and switching circuit on the motherboard of your laptop.

If this is the root cause of the problem, you don't have any other option than contact HP and addressing a service engineer on the problem.  Which can cause that it is necessary to send the laptop warranty service. When you talk to a customer service engineer make and consult the troubleshooting we have done on the issue here in the forum.
