Futura is Myriad Pro!

The following script creates a text layer, but Photoshop (CC) chooses Myriad Pro instead of Futura.

Is there a reason for this?

App.Documents.Add (1000, 1000, 300, "Futura", NewDocumentMode.RGB, DocumentFill.WHITE);

var doc = app.activeDocument;

var color = new SolidColor();

Color.RGB.red = color.rgb.green = color.rgb.blue = 0;

var l = doc.artLayers.add ();

l.Kind = LayerKind.TEXT;

l.textItem.size = 36;

l.textItem.font = '"Futura" ';

l.textItem.color = color;

l.textItem.justification = Justification.LEFT;

l.textItem.position = (300, 300);

l.textItem.contents = 'ABC123 ';

Found the problem... the police must be named Futura Medium.

  • Myriad pro Semibold is gone!

    First I had to change all the fonts of a myriad of Myriad Pro. Now when opening documents containing Myriad Pro Semibold Italic... .the change everything has disappeared! not even a type of screen is displayed.

    (The Myriad Pro Semibold Italic is indicated in the Toolbox you type!)

    Works on Mac pro 2015 / 10.10.5 OS

    Adobe know what costs its can mean to my design company, or they simply don't care as long we pay monthly fees for the CC package?

    -which fonts will disappear then?

    Glad that worked for you. Please continue, we need people who know traditional composition & regulation on packaging to help the generation Z, which do not receive training.

  • How to install Myriad Pro fonts license

    We have Windows application that convert Docx XPS file by using the word automation service. In load tests, we found that the size of the jump of size 200 KB to 3 MB Docx after conversion to XPS. During troubleshooting, we found XPS create images of letters and words in the document instead of incorporating the Myriad Pro police which increase in size of document several times. I think this is related to the licensing of fonts as XPS create images only when it is impossible to validate the license. I want to know y at - it special measures we need to follow to install fonts license?

    Nope!

    Has absolutely nothing to do with the licenses to all fonts! The Myriad Pro font family enables the editable embedding, which is more than sufficient to allow embedding in XPS or PDF.

    What you have stumbled upon is a known bug and the limitation in the Microsoft software that Microsoft refuses to fix. Simply, they incorporate not OpenType CFF fonts (such as those belonging to the Myriad Pro family) for XPS or for their own native to save as PDF function. (Economy-as-PDF acrobat incorporates fonts correctly!)

    Call Microsoft and complain to them. I have, and they don't seem to care!

    Hello

    I use the font Myriad Pro for years. Now it is accidentally is no longer available in Flash. I worked on a client project and accidentally police Myriad Pro is not shown more in any FLA file. To test this, I created a new FLA file, but then again, Myriad Pro is not indicated (I can choose it from the menu, but no letter is displayed).

    Also reinstall the fonts in Windows is no solution. In other programs such as Flash CS 3 Extended etc. I can always use the font and it works fine.

    Hello Barb,

    To get a SemiBold weight with Pro OTF fonts, you must select the "Light version" of family. e.g. Myriad Pro Light.

  • Myriad pro modified police adobe without MM

    First off I use a PC, Windows XP.  I create a report in Access 2007 and save it as a pdf.  When I try to open it in Adobe Reader 9.3 Myriad Pro regular fonts and "BOLD" have been replaced by Adobe Sans MM.  Myriad Pro is the standard of my agency if anyone knows a reason or solution for this?  Thank you!

    It is not drive to do. It is caused by the 2007 Acess. It is not embed font information in the file. Open the PDF in Reader and click file > properties > fonts. He says (embedded) following the Myriad Pro fonts?

  • Myriad Pro Light usable in Photoshop, but not visible in the font book.

    I can't locate a font. We have recently upgraded to CS5 and one of our designers needed a font I used in a previous file. I saved the Myriad family are doing to him, but 'Light' was absent from the family in fontbook, even if I am able to use it in Photoshop and Adobe programs. When he opens my files, however, he received a warning from the police saying that he isn't Myriad Pro light. My question is, why I am able to use it even if it is not in Fontbook, could it be stored somewhere else?

    It's just a text file containing the information cached on the fonts.

    If you are able to see the police in other Adobe applications, then try this:

    1. launch InDesign

    2. create a new document

    3. create a text block

    4. type text

    5. Select the text and apply the police

    6. go to the menu Type and click find a police...

    7 select the font in the list fonts in the Document

    8. click on the more info button

    A named Info box. You will find the path to the font file.

  • Myriad fonts Pro

    Adobe personal salvation,

    I work for TriMet, a public company in Portland, Oregon. I understand electronic screens of teaching for the machines of airfare and package for the fare card, use Myriad Pro fonts in my software CC. Do I have to buy the license for using Myriad Pro for those? Please let me know. Thank you.

    Standard fonts Adobe license agreement allows to work with a font to be disseminated and used for personal and commercial purposes. You must only make sure that you are using fonts to create the work (for example, bitmaps and video), convert fonts to outlines output vector data (EPS, for example) or embed fonts in an electronic document (e.g. PDF). You may not distribute the font files themselves as an asset for an application or a service.

    For the fonts that come with Adobe applications, please see the terms of use: licenses and terms of use | Adobe

    I hope this helps.

  • How to apply the "Slate Pro Light" using CSS font?

    Hello

    Could you tell me how to apply the font of "Slate Pro Light" using CSS? I have not found a solution for the 'Light' slate Pro variation selection.

    Thank you.

    I usually use the definition of CSS of police-family at the following address on my html and body elements:

    font-family: "Slate Pro", Slate, "Myriad Pro", "BBAlpha Sans", Helvetica;

    Potentially adding "slate Pro Light" should do the trick. Alternatively, you could take advantage of the make-weight property when you need a lighter framework:

    font-weight: normal|bold|bolder|lighter|number|initial|inherit;

    In this case, lighter, might do the trick?

  • The 'Pro' fonts are losing black and Light versions during the upgrade to El Capitan

    Adobe software - it's great. Unusual to have a problem, but I have a. I often use the pro fonts because they are equipped with a wide range of variants - not just "normal, bold and italic" - but "light, normal, medium weight, fat, black, condensed and italic. During the transfer to El Capitan, all variants of light and black people of all the fonts seem to have been laid. If Adobe asked me, I would have these fonts returned to me :-) Anyone know a solution?

    Software creation Cloud installs variations less than standard fonts such as Minion Pro and Myriad Pro.

    You should look to see what are the versions of these fonts are available as part of your subscription to CC through Typekit. In InDesign CC, CC Illustrator and Photoshop CC, you can click on adding fonts Typekit option in the Type menu to start looking. And look for hundreds of other policies as well.
