  I have a HP Pavilion g6-1220sa notebook which has AMD A8 and running windows 7 64 bit.

  I had to reinstall windows manually, like trying to make the machine a dual boot with win7 and ubuntu has given rise to ruin my partitions. I have managed to do and been install/update all drivers. But in Device Manager, the SM Bus controller still has a yellow mark excamation beside him.

  I feel as if I have been everywhere and tried all drivers suggested, but nothing helped. So please can someone send me or tell me, the correct driver to finally solve this problem please. Any help is very appreciated.

  Here's what you need to do to the smbus controller...

  I have zipped and attached below in attachments, the raw smbus controller driver files to decompress and install manually.

  Download and unzip the file.

  Go to Device Manager and click the controller smbus needing drivers.  Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.

  Select her browse my computer for driver software option and navigate to the driver folder that you unzipped.

  Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the driver should install.  Then restart.

  It looks like all the drivers, specifications and manuals are missing from the pages of support again.

  This happened earlier in the week also.

  Another Member of the forum has reported the problem to administrators forum, which will be in touch tour HP, but since I am not employed by, nor do I represent HP, I don't know how long it will take to restore the missing data to the support pages.

  Whether the weekend will not help much either.

• No sound! Driver of Bus Audio HDA required, not found

  I recently re-installed Windows XP on my computer Dell Dimension desktop and downloaded every update is available from Windows Update. All right, except that I have no sound.  In the device manager under "Other devices" with a yellow question mark is multimedia Audio Controller.  I know that I need the ADI 198 x integrated Audio driver I can get from the manufacturer's website, but when I try to download it I get the following error:

  I have tried everything to solve this problem, including the automatic adjustment on this site (which has not detected a problem) AND download a patch for Windows XP, which is available here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888111.  The problem is that there is no fix for XP with Service Pack 3 users! At this point, I am at my wits end and nothing seems to work.  I appreciate any help you could give me. It feels like I tried all the solutions, but I'm open for anything at this point. Thank you!

  If you will forgive the play on words, using MS Update is not the way the most up to date to get the latest drivers for your audio device.

  You go directly to the Dell support site and get your machine of Dimension, and then download the necessary drivers. If you get an error message during the installation you may have inadvertently downloaded the wrong driver.

  Try again or re-post giving Dell Dimension model number.

  However for some reason, HP does not include the AMD chipset for AMD models pilot that leaves you looking for smbus controller and usb controllers 3 (as appropriate).

  Select > install from a list or specific location
