G62: How do I permanently disable my touchpad G62 Windows 10

I tried all the examples given in the previous forums, but on Windows 10, 'Mouse' options are not the same.  I want to disable the touchpad on a permanent basis.

Once again, thank you!  But this window does not always open, and I don't have a ClickPad option.  My G2 Portable is apparently too old and too cranky never work.  Thank you once again, but I'm throwing in the towel and never buy an HP laptop again.  I hover the love of my HP printers.

I'm now close this topic!

How to disable the touchpad in windows 8 - Pavilion g6

    Welcome to the forum, Sally.

There are several ways to do this - method you choose may depend on what you need to accomplish.

    Follow a few ideas.

    • A double tap farm in the upper left corner of the touch pad if it off for a single session.

    Enable / disable

Control Panel > display icon > mouse > Settings of TouchPad > click on "enable TouchPad.

They continue parameters to install and configure the TouchPad as you like it...

    ==========================================================================

A method that works with the pilots 'old', it is a failure of session by session...

Make sure this setting is ON / CHECKED:

Control Panel > display icon > mice > TouchPad [ClickPad] settings >

() repeat) TouchPad settings (button) > click tapping >

    Click the shimmering blue wheel

In "box to Disable TouchPad settings".

CHECK "Double Tap to activate / disable the TouchPad.

In the 'Action in the upper left'

CHECK "Disable the TouchPad during a session.

    Close

    Ok

NOTE that, if it is available on your version, you can select to "turn off the TouchPad" - that's fine, unless something goes wrong.  You could get stuck without your USB mouse AND no way to return to the setting to activate the touchpad.  I don't know if I would use this setting.

    ======================================================================================

    Next...
Latest drivers (V16.x) have the ability to disable the TouchPad / click on the keypad with a setting on the main page 'Settings' when a USB mouse is used.  This is a very nice feature.

Control Panel > display icon > mice > TouchPad [ClickPad] settings >

CHECK "disable the pointing device internal when the external USB pointing device is attached.

If you want to be alerted and see a visual cue of disability >

TICK "Animated icon in the taskbar" >

and make sure you have your updated task bar notifications so you can see the view of the mouse.

  • How can I permanently disable and remove the User Account Control (UAC) on Control Panel?

This feature on Windows Vista is really annoying when you do a presentation. I want to permanently disable and remove from the control panel.

    Hi Eyngel,

If I understand you correctly, you want to disable or delete the user (UAC) of your computer access control.

You can turn off the UAC, but do not remove it completely from your computer.

You can let on that it is one of the security features of Windows Vista.

    To turn off the UAC:

Go to control panel > user accounts > manage another account > at bottom of the page delete the control on the use of user access control.
It should ask you to restart the computer to complete the process.

    I hope this helps. ----------------------------------------------------------

  • How can I permanently disable OCSP checking?

I use StartSSL to generate free certificates for my personal sites. Occasionally, firefox has a heart attack because he is unable to verify a signature or something. I really, really, really don't care, and I would like to disable all OCSP checking in my browser. I tried enabling / disabling the option under Options-> Advanced-> certificates for 'Interrogate responder OCSP servers to confirm the current validity of certificates' but this does not seem to make a difference. I know that my certificate is valid, because it worked great for a week and is valid until 2019. He also works in the other browsers on my computer, just not FF. How can I stop just completely OCSP prevents any control, because this option does not solve the problem? Is there something about: config I can toggle or set?

for search engine purposes, since I couldn't find an answer to this question States using these search terms:

OCSP response has an invalid signature. Error code: SEC_ERROR_OCSP_BAD_SIGNATURE

I have not seen the code "SEC_ERROR_OCSP_BAD_SIGNATURE" before. Maybe your web server is configured to use "OCSP stapling" and sends a correct or OCSP and the certificate response? You can use the following Diagnostics page for public sites to see if stapling is enabled:

    https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/index.html

You can try disabling support stapling to see if this changes anything:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press enter/return. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste ocsp and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the preference security.ssl.enable_ocsp_stapling to switch the value from true to false

    Does make a difference?

  • How can I permanently disable smoothing brush?

    Hello!
I recently spent on a Mac to CS6 cs6 on a Windows machine. Imported my brushes as well, but I noticed a problem that happened to me on a Mac: 'Smoothing' option in the brush palette refused to stay OFF and resets everytime I turn on the program, causing these drops at the end of each race.

    Untitled-1.jpg

    Here is what I tried:
Re-registration my predefined with smoothing off the coast (even if I'm sure it was already, when I got them the Mac)

-Disable smoothing and pressing the lock icon.

Neither of them have worked, smoothing has been still reset at the start of the program.

Please, if anyone has an answer, help me. Googling only showed me a person with this problem and no answers.
    Thank you!

You must make and save a new set of brush.  Select the brush you want to use as a template, and then make the changes, then from the upper right panel forms that make new predefined form.  You can then save a new set of brush and use it instead of the standard set of brush that loads when you place brushes.

But is this the best approach to work around the problem?  You talk like an experienced user, so forgive me if I'm stating what is obvious, but if you select the third suite of options from the predefined list labeled size soft round pressure and hard round pressure you should have nice tapered ends to your moves independently of smoothing.

I know this has been a big problem historically. Especially with users of Cintiq IIRC and I try to remember if this has been fixed with updates.  My gut feeling is that a fully implemented CS6 update should be good.

BTW, I can't let a thread about brushes passes not to mention lazy Nezumi.  One of his many tricks delimbing artifacts from the end of the brush strokes.  Best drawing drawing module app on the planet!

  • How do I permanently disable or delete the 'Documents' folder recently changed in Windows 7?

If I directly delete files in this folder, it also deletes the original of my C: drive.

If you do a right click on the ORB start and select Properties, then you open the taskbar and Start Menu Properties dialog box. Click on Start menu tab, and then select Customize. If you scroll down about 75% of the descent, you will see an option to show recent items. If you clear the check box in the box it should remove the folder in the start menu.
