  I own a renovated Pavilion G7, which has stopped working. The flashing light code indicates a failure of the CPU. Is it possible for me to replace it? I think the answer is no because of what I was able to google that shows his soddered on the mb, but thought I'd ask. Thanks for any help!

  Question is simple. but the answer is impossible as HP make it harder for us to be able to take advantage of its total capacity on the products that we buy from them.

  was announce on this computer laptop specifications that the video memory can be up to 1973 MB.

  

  memory dedicated only 384 MB and can not be change, why shops you can use up to 1973 MB. Which for me is false adverticement other wise, they explain how you can get this amount of RAM.

  If some now knows it please explain and post in this forum.

  In fact, the answer is simple.

  Change video memory cannot be done by any means by the user.

  Video memory mapping is automatically assigned.

  The announced video memory is correct if the video card has to use the shared PC system memory.

  Go to your windows experience index window and click on the detailed report.

  It will show you how many dedicated graphic memory it is, it is the amount of system memory dedicated (normally the zero with a discreet graphics card) and the amount of system memory is available for the video card.

  This is whence your 'until 1973 Mo"- additional system memory that can be automatically assigned to the video card if necessary.

  Ok. So this is my first time even dealing with this kind of question, and I'm far from being a technician... but here goes!

  I've had my laptop for about a year now. Bought new and it worked like a dream so far. I have not changed the habits of navigation on the internet (I stick to the who's who and my e-mail and minecraft) and I know that if I do not understand what I'm about to UN/install I do not touch.

  But recently, I dealt with it blue me testing out of no where. So I did what I did with my counter top and it wiped, and then is come to this site to re - install the drivers needed to make things work properly. I download the BIOS and it forced me to down load a previous version that was not compatible, but when I try to replace my web cam Cyberlink and try in the flash player, it will be closed, or it will blink a screen telling me to check the 'dsk chck. I don't know what it is and I'm afraid to go anywhere but this site to ask because I can't even install my anti-virus software.  Help? Links? Advice? PLEASE, I BEG YOU!

  I know it's probably very easy thing, but again, I am far from being a technician.

  Try the following.

  Shut down the laptop.  Tap away at the esc you key start Notepad to open the Start Menu.  Select the BIOS (usually f10) and under the Advanced or the Diagnostic tab, you will find the possibility to run tests on the hard drive and memory.  Post back with the details of any error message.  If there are error messages, do not continue with the procedures described below.

  If the criteria above, try the following.

  In the Menu start, open the all programs, open accessories, right-click on command prompt and select "run as Administrator".  In at the prompt, type the following command and press ENTER.

  sfc/scannow                (Note that there is a space between sfc and /)

  Let the entire process, then the output type and press ENTER.

  Then, click on the Start Menu, click computer, left click Local disk C once to highlight, right-click Local disk C and select Properties.  Click the Tools tab and then click on the button "check the drive for errors.  In the next window make sure that both boxes are checked, then click Start.  Right plan the audit on the next reboot of the system, and then restart the laptop - this process can take several hours before the load in Windows.

  First, shut down the laptop, unplug the power adapter, remove the battery and then hold the Power button for 30 seconds.

  Now, plug in the AC adapter without the battery inserted, start Notepad, open windows control panel, open Device Manager, expand the entry for the battery, on the right, click on and compatible Microsoft ACPI control method battery and select Uninstall - do uninstall not something else here.  When the uninstall is complete, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter, reinsert the battery and then start the laptop's battery.  Windows will automatically reinstall the driver - leave Windows running for a few minutes. Shut down the laptop again.  Now plug the power adapter (with the inserted battery always) and start the laptop to see if it helped the issue at all.

  If the problem persists, download and run the test utility of battery pack available on the next page and see if it reports any problems with your battery.

  Hello, I have recently upgraded to Windows 8, everythings summer works well, but sometimes last night, my wifi controller not turn back and the only things I can find online about this are for Windows 7, the adapter is

  Ive went in Device Manager and disabled and enabled both devices, when I turned off the wifi card and enabled him once again, the light on the blue illuminated keyboard for a fraction of a second, then back to orange to turn them off, but when I disabled and then enabled the controller who did not, and I went into the bios and everything reset back to the default values and still nothing , the only thing I did is to uninstall the driver and reinstall it, have not found one for that compatible with windows 8 again, if anyone has an idea on what's happening please let me know, thanks!

  Hi all! It is my first time to post a thread, so correct me if I'm wrong. I am also a child of 15 years and I know how to take care of your laptop. I love HP so just to tell you all!

  So I had three laptops computers HP in the past, but the 1st is broken so I want to talk about the laptop of 2nd and 3rd.

  My 2nd laptop which is a HP Pavilion 1219wm g7, I had for over 2 and a half years and it was a good laptop until my father using a laptop, and when he was going to put in place, he accidentally dropped the laptop, then the other day I was looking to see if something was wrong, nothing was wrong that day until a week or two , the left hinge and the right hinge broke nails, so when I tried to open my laptop, it would make a lot of noise and push the hinges on, and also when the hinges were out, I figured that my laptop fan not working anymore, while I was searching for YouTube videos on how to disassemble a laptop as mine and so I don't , and when I got most everything out, I saw that the hinges were broken and nails went down, so I ask my dad to get out of the nails, but he said no because he had some color gold metal around the nail, I thought the hinges were pushing the laptop fan and watched the fan and I saw a few pieces of fan which are plastic fell off the coast and I erased the dust Too much. Open so now I reassembled the laptop and it still works and the fan of the laptop works also but instead, it made a lot of noise and vibrates the phone, but when I push the area where the fan is, it makes no noise, but when I let go, it emits noises, the laptop hinges I always leave my cell phone because I'm afraid to open again and he'll break a lot more thinking inside the laptop and when I'm not using it, I let the "Sleep" mode So basically the parts fan parts are broken and made a loud noise and vibrating a lot when not pushed and the left and right hinges of the screen LCD is broken. Any way to replace these parts?

I bought a new laptop and Standard warranty Start Date was on January 25, 2013, and Standard warranty end Date was February 28, 2014. So I thought that it was a problem because once you buy a laptop PC or laptop or something else, the guarantee starts automatically on that date. So all the ideas that is the problem?

  For the G7-1219wm Pavilion, I could not find a guide to maintenance and service to provide reference numbers.  However, here is a link to the HP parts store, where you try self-service option to locate parts and prices or contact them and they will be happy to help you.

  Now on the mandate. as with most products, they come with a warranty from the factory which is what you see. You must register the product from the date of purchase for HP will know when it was purchased.  Once all the required information is received, they will work on the update of the guarantee. • G7 blue screens

  I have a Pavilion g7-1219wm laptop which has 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium installed...   I was on the phone with support for 2 hours and got no where with them.

  It is sometimes blue screening and reboot (about once a week).  I came to the conclusion that 1 stick of memory is bad and it is necessary to replace, but since he does not fail the memory diagnostic HP, HP does not replace it.  I also ran the test of memory in the BIOS and it passed it too.  But when I run memory test software of memtest it fails, and it fails also built into Windows 7 Windows Memory Diagnostic.
