Garland - open another project

Captivate 2, I have three daisy chained and uploaded to a LMS System project files. When the 1 read file end I call file 2 (via open another project), and Ditto for the 3 file when file 2 finishes. I have a pre-loader screen in table 2 and table 3 but too much time going on before the following project file starts playing causing an awkward delay. Is it possible to set up the project "called" next to start file to play while continuing to charge without having to wait until it is completely downloaded? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Ken Metcalf

Hi Ken,

To my knowledge, you cannot distribute a project, so what I have done in the past for different LMS' is really, really small files. To link to them, I chose an interaction that is part of the lesson - if there are the following buttons, or if the learner is supposed to click on part of the screen — and set it to open the next file. It will be a bit long to do because it was not part of your original design, but it can be worth the effort.

Good luck!

    Hello

    I think I'm a fool. I read almoust all the 'open another project', «affair...» "the discussions etc. But I have no idea how make it work. Count once more:

    I've unlocked security Flash or anything. I have a project and it is so big, so I decided to cut off for smaller projects. I wish I had a project on a slide with many areas of clickboxes for the opening of other projects.

    I exported, published the possibilities of project (swf, CP. hml...) related to the one slide project folder. I tried to open another project, open the file/URL. Nothing happens.

    What I need to do, step by step.

  • Captivate 5 opening of another project - link is incorrect

    I have a Captivate 5 project that uses a "main project" to open various 'under' projects.  I have published all projects such as exe (I also tried editing swf and htm to see if the problem is specific to the .exe but I have this problem with both methods), all projects are accessed using a click box, which, if successful, will open another project.  All my sub projects opens correctly except one.  When you click on this project, it shows an error that displays the path to the .htm file only?  I find it weird because I tried only editing like .exe, is therefore to associate without file .htm (or I do not understand how it works?).  Here's the funny part, the path to the nonexistent .htm file is missing a return back as you can see below.

    3-29-2011 5-09-40 PM.gif

    I tried to recreate the click box, but it does not work.  I copied another box of click of work who open a different project.  The click box works until I have change the project that it points to and then I get the same error.

    Another thing, when I go to link the project from the drop-down list displays several projects with the same name.

    3-29-2011 5-15-04 PM.gif

    even if I have only one instance of the project in my folder by default.  I tried to empty the cache to see if that get rid of duplicates, but it did not work.  I also installed captivate on another computer, copied over my project files, deleted the click box and recreated and received the same error message.  He pointed to the new location on the new computer, but lacked a "------" makes the link not valid.

    I published my computers not assigned as swf and htm project and copied to the location specified in the error, but it does not work.

    Any ideas?  I ran out of things to try.

    Thank you

    Captivate the default behavior is to set up an absolute connection to the target file, not a relative link, which is what you will need to be if ever you want to migrate your content to another location, for example a web server.

    If you can see that the URL is incorrect, change it. You must manually edit the link that Captivate automatically creates for you and it becomes a relative link that points to the target HTM file.

    If you don't know how to build links, do some googling on the subject.  It's something everyone who works with web content needs to know how to do.

  • HTML5 - reactive: open another course

    I build 4 dishes (4 files cptx unique reactive HTML5). I'm just starting the second course since the first course with a button (success - open another project). When I publish the first course, I get a message on the copy of files in the output called folder. Try this, but I have to be hurt.

    Someone at - it a process documented and easy to start a second project (course) of another project (1st class) in HTML5 format?

    Do not use the action to open another project.  He's going to wait to find the exit in exactly the same folder that you select the CPTX file, and it is NOT usually recommended.

    Try instead the action open URL or file and specify a relative link to the project file calling the main HTML file in the folder of the second project.

    And do not forget that with the release of HTML5 you should really test it by downloading to a web server environment.

    On the other hand... If these projects are intended to be modules SCORM to a course that will eventually work to an LMS, forget the idea of having a project to call each other directly.  That must be done through the LMS.

  • Link to another project

    Hello!

    I am a beginner of Captivate. I'm trying to make a link to another project by a button. I chose:

    If the user clicks the button:

    Success - open another project

    Project - (project name)

    When I try to project to test, I get the following message: "the project (project name) .htm, .swf (project name) is launched at this stage but is not available for the overview."

    What I am doing wrong? Thank you very much for your help!

    Hello

    You do not have something wrong. You test in a preview. The message tells you that you will need to publish it to see it in action.

  • How to import another project MUSE in a project to open the site as I can first?

    I created MUSE sites I want to merge with another site that I created. First I can import a project into another project and merge the projects in this way.  I can do this Muse?

    Thank you

    You can do that in Muse. However that said that you can have two sites of Muse open at the same time and copy the content on. Another option is to simply create your pages library items in a site and then in your second site just drag the library items.

    The short answer to that is to make sure that the disc menu is located in the Premiere Elements in the second computer and is ready for use (download of content). You can sometimes problems in this regard with models of titles that are composed of text and image.

  • Open a different project - how to prevent to open another window

    I broke a great captivate in six separate projects project, published under the title of EXEs. My menu system, when I run another project he opens another window and the other and so on...

    Obviously New, Parent, current, Top options only work with HTML...

    Is there a way to open a second project exe in the same window as the parent?

    Thank you

    Jack

    Captivate 7

    You're right that you can only call another project published in the same window is running in a browser.

    Exe open like automatic execution of players who play only one thing, not as browsers that can be used to navigate to a different content and read it.  So the 'window' as such is not something you can call other projects in.

    Have you try to copy the project folder (by default it is in the workspace) on your computer and then import it with the import of-> existing projects into workspace?

    Import seems to want a zip of a project that was exported. Guess I could try just zipping upward a project.

    EDIT: Ah, you're right. The import option was not apparent at first glance. Thank you.

  • Cannot open the project on final cut pro :(

    Hey guys, I have a big problem.
    I edited a video which is about 1h30m and using the function "Multicam clip", and successfully made and made a DVD. but unfortunately I need the second edition. Then I opened the library file, click the project, Final Cut Pro X continuous loading and close unexpectedly, and another project to another event works normally. anyone with the same problem? I need to send it to my tmr customer

    p.s. I deleted the file, preferably according to most of the Q & A.

    What version of FCP are you running? If it's the 10.1 or later, projects are in the events that are contained in libraries.

    If 10.1 or later, is the DVD project that does not open in the same library as the project is open? Or they in different libraries

  • After that I immigrated from macbook pro, iMac, I can't open the project

    I tried to open projects in the external hard drive with the new iMac.  Some of the film clip was't it.  So I moved all my files from the MacBook Pro, iMac and tried again to open the project.  Then error message informs you that the file is used by another account and cannot open.

    The account was my account until I immigrated.

    Help, please!

    There may be problems with some file permissions.

    Around that, the simplest method is to set the "Ignore ownership on this Volume" checkbox

    -Select the external hard drive in the Finder

    -Press command-I to open the read window information

    -If necessary, click the lock and enter your password

    -Check the box that says "ignore ownership on this Volume".

  • RTE de LV cannot open the project files that include references .lvlib in dependencies

    I am writing a DLL LabVIEW to inspect the LabVIEW project files, and I noticed that if a project has a .lvlib reference in its dependencies, then the Run-Time Engine is contradictory on whether or not he can find the project file:

    • Project.Open returns error 7 (file not found)

    • Project.GetFileLVVersion is a success

    Here are some excerpts from my code of G and C engaged in this behavior:

       int openStatus = StatusSuccess;
    char * projectVersion = createStringWithLength (VersionStringLength);

    printf ("Analysis %s\n", pathchaine);
    OpenProject (pathchaine & openStatus, projectVersion, VersionStringLength);
    printf (" project written in LabVIEW %s\n", projectVersion);

    If (openStatus is StatusSuccess)
    {
    printf (" Open the project file.") \n") ;
    }
    on the other
    {
    printf("Error: could not find Project file, or file was not a Project file (Error code %i).\n», openStatus);")
    }

    However, when running in the development environment, the two methods are successful.

    Is this a bug, and if so, is it fixed in 2014 of LabVIEW?

    Here's how you can reproduce:

    Prerequisites:

      1. LabVIEW 2013 SP1 32-bit

      2. ConEmu for a good console- https://code.google.com/p/conemu-maximus5/wiki/Downloads

      2. Open "OpenProject.lvproj" in LabVIEW.

      3. Build 'Open library project'.

    Here's another way to trigger this behavior, which shows that LabVIEW occasionally Range the element dependencies:

      1. Open "OpenProject.lvproj" in LabVIEW.

  • Add to the project a new VI and place the constant path of file "Application Directory" his block diagram.

  • Select ""leader "Save All (this project)" and use the default name for the new VI.

  • Type 'c:\xtra\temp\OpenProject.lvproj' OpenProject

  • Notice that there is a mistake once again, as is expected.

  • Remove the "Application Directory" path of file constant

  • Select ""leader "Save All (this project)"

  • Type 'c:\xtra\temp\OpenProject.lvproj' OpenProject

  • Note that the problem has disappeared, as is expected.

  • Add the "Application Directory" path of file constant in the block diagram.

  • Select ""leader "Save All (this project)"

  • Type 'c:\xtra\temp\OpenProject.lvproj' OpenProject

  • Notice there is no problem, which is surprising, because that there should be a mistake because the dependencies item was not tidy.

  • Close the new VI and pull out of the project.

  • Select ""leader "Save All (this project)"

  • Open "OpenProject.lvproj" in a text editor.

  • Note that the dependencies item was put away.

  • Add VI back to the project.

  • Select ""leader "Save All (this project)"

  • Type 'c:\xtra\temp\OpenProject.lvproj' OpenProject

  • Notice that there is a mistake once again, as is expected.

    The same behavior occurs in LabVIEW RTE: a new project with a constant of the Application in an empty vi directory will return an error 7 - file not found, but still return the correct version of LabVIEW in which the project was created.

    I did experiment with workarounds for this problem, and I found a.

    When I used to get the path of LabVIEW libdir in the ini of the executable file, execution is able to load and inspect the project file.

    LIBDIR = 'C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\LabVIEW 2013'

    While it is expected that a stand-alone executable can be placed on a system that does not have the LabVIEW IDE, it is still surprising to me that the execution engine cannot find standard library of LabVIEW without some explicit guidance. What other factors contribute to this behavior?

  • Cannot open the project

    I am trying to open a project on another computer, but I'm having some trouble. I followed the steps of the tutorial: http://agile.csc.ncsu.edu/SEMaterials/tutorials/import_export/ but I have a red exclamation point icon when I open the project. The classes are riddled with red error and it cannot be run in the Simulator (Run As - > Simulator does nothing). I noticed that the file on the first computer has a net_rim_api jar file and the other is not. I don't know if this is the problem and if it is I don't know how to import it. The error given by the section of the problem of the eclipse is:

    "Project cannot be built until the path of errors are resolved" and "container Unbound classpath: ' JRE System Library [BlackBerry JRE 6.0.0] project"MyProject"

    The appropriate BlackBerry Java SDK has been installed in Eclipse on machine problems?

    If I create the project using business process 'Request for project' and when we opened the project, we can see "Project delivery" and "Cost control" mode records.
