GDDR 2 or 3?

Hello!

The xps 1530 with nvidia 8600gt graphics card has a gddr2 or gddr3 video memory?

Same question for the inspiron 1720 with the 8600gt.

I just couldn't understand.

Thank you.

  • 2GB GDDR EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti FTW? I can do better for $150?

I have a Geforce GTX 460 old but reliable. A beautiful card that has kept me during four years. But it didn't really hurt with the DSLR images and QT 1080 p high sampling rates. I don't like having to drop to 1/2 or even 1/4 resolution when editing so... Maybe I need a boost.

I hooked an EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 3 GB for less than $95, but it arrived today via UPS in a box of crushed. Needless to say that UPS requires a refund to the seller.

So I looked at the 2 GB EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti FTW. $150 at Amazon. Looks like I might have a few good bang by puck and an improvement over my current GTX460 which is only 1 GB memory GDDR5 256 - Bit. It is not at rest and performs better than many maps of the time, but I know I can do better.

As a palliative for the next 6 to 8 months, what do you think of switching to the GTX 750 Ti FTW? There are already some time I researched maps and not sure, given the choice.

We got $150 new and I love this thing what we called a guarantee but I'm open to suggestions.

I have an ASUS Z97Pro Wifi USB3.1 mb, Intel Core i7 - 4790K Quad - Core 4 GHz cpu, and 16 GB of DDR3. Windows 7 pro 64 installed on a new Samsung 850 Pro SSD (boy is fast).

Huge case Phanteks Enthoo white Pro. Thanks in advance!

the gtx 580 would have been about 2 x faster than the gtx 460. the ti 750 gtx is somewhere between those of speed. If you want to buy a new one, are looking for a ti 750 gtx near $130 or gtx 960 around $200. the 960 gtx is still faster than the gtx 580. If you want to try to buy new used, try to find a gtx 570 or above for about $100.

  • Comparing workbooks L550 - 11 k and L555 - graphics ATI 4650

    Hello!
I have a question about the graphics card for laptop.
The ATI 4650 has DDR3 and GDDR3 memory?

    Hello

Satellite L550 - 11 k has been equipped with the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 graphics chip. The graphics card supports GDDR (GDDR means Graphics Double Data Rate) and no DDR.
But sometimes you can find the info on the memory of the graphics card and it s called DDR but it is false... it should be called GDDR and not DDR...

  • w2408h freezes

Motherboard Asus P5GC GC 1945 MATX
    BIOS American Megatrends Inc. 0401
    2 GB PC - 6400 memory
DIAMOND HD GDDR PCIE video card (Note: w2408h monitor is connected through a DVI adapter HDMI cable)
Operating system Windows XP Pro SP2

I searched other posts on this subject and couldn't find something that helped. There are a series of problems which all coincided with the purchase of this monitor.

    * The monitor freezes during the passage of the users.
    * He falls asleep but won't wake up.
    * The mouse freezes.
Visible area shrinks to be the full height and width to approximately 6 "wide. The rest of the screen is black and the resolution is always set to 1920 x 1200 pixels.

Who knows? Maybe it's just a coincidence that the mouse problem turned up when the monitor was installed. I uninstalled the mouse driver, so XP could do a new installation next time I started.

    The problem persists.

I uninstalled power management according to the www3.hp.com/psg/board/message?board.id=Monitor&message.id=354&query.id=749849#M354 post

So I'm still stuck and would welcome any advice please.

Thank you all for your advice.

I finally found where the problem was.  My Seagate 250 GIG drive failed completely and had to be replaced by Seagate.  As soon as I got the new drive on with the monitor drivers installed, the problem is completely resolved.

I'm just happy that the player has not completely and that he continued to limp along in its sad state.

  • U2515H, Nvidia GV - N740D5OC - 1GI HDMI, 2048 x 1152

    Hello

You just bought a U2515H monitor and a Nvidia GV - N740D5OC - 1GI (Gigabyte GeForce GT 740 OC 1 GB GDDR) to get the screen optimum resolution of 2560 x 1440, but Windows XP SP3 shows me 2048 x 1152 as the Selectable maximum resolution.

I use an HDMI cable to HDMI.

I installed the latest Nvidia drivers and contacted Gigabyte helpdesk and they confirm me that this graphics card has a maximum resolution of 4096 x 2160 @24 Hz via HDMI.

Dell does not provide a Windows XP driver for this monitor. This can be a problem?

    Please, can you help me?

    Thanks in advance,

    Kind regards

    Sergi Morraja

XP does not support the required 332 driver.

DirectX 11 is required for 4K and XP a directx 9 period.

  • Windows will behave as if the left SHIFT key is stuck

I had this recurring problem where Windows will behave as if the left SHIFT key is stuck. I opened the keyboard on the screen and it does not show the key to press. While this issue happens, unplug the keyboard and by him plugging back in does not solve it.

I'm pretty sure that NOT to be the problem:
    (1) something inside the keyboard causing it to stick.
    (2) the keyboard is defective.
    (3) to a new update/program installed.
    (4) initiated by the user, (seemingly random).
    (5) the motherboard is faulty.

After searching several forums, it is clear that this is a widespread problem and is NOT limited to my hardware or operating system.
Unfortunately, it seems that most Tech this fired up as an individual problem and do not give the solution of rolling back/reinstall windows, which are not an option for me.

It is not last forever, which means that I still have not restart before it fixed itself (sometimes), and I tried almost every combination of buttons to try to repair.

    System information:

    Gigabyte Z68AP-D3

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 6.1.7601

    Intel Core i7 - 2700 k CPU @ 3.50 GHz

    Total system memory: 8 GB memory DDR3 - 1600 (PC3 - 12800)

GeForce GTX 550 Ti 2 GB GDDR 5

    DirectX 11.0

In case you need something I didn't not give please ask.

Once again, I searched for some time prior to this announcement and have found no answers at the moment. Thank you for your time.

I had the same problem after breaking down or brewing Maj (sticky keys). See if the "Set up sticky keys" or deactivating solves the problem.

Even if you say that's not a bad keyboard, it could be. Try using a different keyboard if the deactivation of the sticky keys does not work. Sorry if it's a laptop and you do not have a USB keyboard.

  • Best disk for my nice new laptop Asus ROG Configuration

    Hey everybody!

I just bought an ASUS ROG G752VT-GC046D (German Web site link), which has a 1 to 7200 RPM HARD drive. The computer has two empty 2280 m2 slots for disks SSD NVMe. I wonder what is the best configuration of disk while keeping my low costs? I do 1080 p video editing in Premiere Pro (30 FPS and 60 fps) and do a job after effects. I hope that the 4K video editing will be possible on this machine. But 4K is not a must, I would like to keep in mind when selecting disks.

    Data sheet:

    I7-6700HQ

    GTX 970M 3 GB GDDR

    16 GB DDR4 (2 of 4)

    FHD LED 17.3 "display

Maniboard: Intel CM236 (Skylake PCH - H) (im not sure at 100%, I found this on another website for G752VT)

    3 x USB 3

    1 x USB 3.1 / Thunderbolt

1000 GB 7200 RPM HARD drive

2 empty slots for disks SSD NVMe M.2

Discs cannot be configured in RAID

I have a 250 GB SSD 850 EVO in my old computer I can use (currently I use only this disk to edit). Speed reading and writing od 540 MB/s and 520 MB/s, respectively

    Configuration 1

    1 drive: operating system, programs, Pagefile - 128 GB SSD PM951 NVMe M.2 2280 = €65

    2 disc: media, projects - 1 TB 7200 RPM 2.5 "HARD disc

    3 disc: overview, media Cache, exports: 256 GB SSD PM951 NVMe M.2 2280 = €145

250 GB SSD 2.5 "or sold laying around EVO 850

    Investment = €210

    Configuration 2

    1 drive: operating system, programs, Pagefile - 128 GB SSD PM951 NVMe M.2 2280 = €65

2 disc: media, projects - 250 GB EVO 850 SSD 2.5 "(slower than PM951) SATA connectors"

    3 disc: overview, media Cache, exports: 256 GB SSD PM951 NVMe M.2 2280 = €145

    4 disc: backups & old projects - 1 TB 7200 RPM 2.5 "HARD disc

    Investment = 210€

I read the Page Tweakers on the configuration of the hard drive, but I don't know how to apply the knowledge practically while keeping in mind that I am not a super pro user with a huge budget but rather someone who wants to get better, but has a limited budget.

What are your thoughts on my Configurations, do you recommend improvements? Is the Configuration 2 the best bang for the buck (or euro)?

    Looking forward to your answers.

    Best,

    Gorazd

If you already have the evo 250 GB and you want to use into the laptop

    Disc 1-250 GB samsung 850 evo = os/apps/pagefile/db cache

    Disc 2-512 GB samsung 950 pro = project/media/previews

Disc 3-1 TB 7200 RPM hard drive = enclosure external usb for backups

So just buy a disc, the samsung 950 pro and a box external usb 3 for the 1 TB hard drive.

If you want to keep the internal 1 TB drive, then I think you have to go with two readers of m2. a pm951 of 128 GB or a little better sm951 for os/apps can work.

Skylake was almost a flop for the gain in performance over the last generation cpu. If new portable computers skylake are good for features such as Thunderbolt, which is good for the expansion or upgrades, including egpu.

  • New video, editing for AE, questions of GPU system

    Hi all

I'm about to set up a new system to be used mainly for After Effects CS6 and first CS6. I have some difficulty to choose good GPU... If anyone of you could take the time to answer these question for me... It would be greatly appreciated!

-J' read the GTX 7xx with structure of Kepler are not taken in charge/CUDA cores are not used, this is true for do they work well?

-Is this a good video card (with 1000 + CUDA cores) help only for speeding 3D drawn with RADIUS, or the overall editing experience will be faster as well? ("seen live" when editing 'normal video', as well as the final minutes?)

-What are the critical factors to look for in a video card for editing? (GDDR RAM, Base clock, memory speed, Memory Interface width, hearts CUDA memory bandwidth) I mainly work with 1080 p digital SLR video and video effects, not a huge amount of 3d text, etc.

-If I would choose the GPU as renderer, the work will be done only by the GPU, of goes it's just 'assist' CPU?

-So far, I think the GTX 760 would be a good option, what is your opinion on this map for the edition of EI? It would be a good choice or a 6xx GTX or GTX 580 will be a much better option? My budget for the entire system (without monitor etc.) is maximum. 1000 euros.

-Would be to buy an SSD to store the program files and project files, be useful? Or that does not increase the speed in the edition of too?

The system that I have on my mind so far, recommendations and changes are welcome...

For first GPU acceleration is completely different than the acceleration of AE Ray Tracer. The specifications and the ram and CPU GPU core/clock system absolutely effect the performance of the first reading. That means selecting the correct GPU comes from an acceleration of MPE of first and the flow of work/support used. The concept that comes into play here is the processing latency. An old card with 1 GB of vram and a single or dual core CPU may be able to read a single stream of 1080 by itself without any scale. However, as soon as effects or alterations of the frame are added, then the time it takes for data to the cpu, the buffer in memory to live and then process through the GPU is long to keep reading. The speed of the clock of the CPU, Ram and GPU/Vram come into play as to how long it takes to this complete piping process. The amount of threads and cores to decide how much data can process at any point in time. The more layers and effects to deal with the more data that must be processed in a segment of the time required for reading, changes of images. This is similar to the amount of water through a pipe. This may be increased either by increasing the size of the pipe or pressure of the water in the hose of the water how fast is introduced into the hose. These two aspects have their limits depending on where the water is coming and going and what are the minimum requirements. It normally takes a balance between both the pipe size and the amount of water/pressure sent through the pipe. However the volume of water required for any segment of time over two aspects need to be increased. That is to say this translates on clock speed corresponds to the water pressure and threads of equal size. DSS also have a significant aspect dealing with latency. The latency of the SSDS is a fraction of the mechanical controls. This means that the amount of time it takes for SSD drives to manage all of the read or write requests made by the application is significantly lower. This results in lowering of the amount of time reader queries affect the overall performance of playback in real time with how fast the files are written. Codecs with different data rate requirements, often times SSD drives are cheaper options to handle data rates normally requiring an important raid configurations that are expensive. SSDS also many more applications at the same time manage which means by putting more operations on a single disc. The result is often better performance with a calendar or more complex compositions.

Comments on GPU specifications not really have an impact are relative to the AE only. This is absolutely not the case for the first, SOUL and Speedgrade, or almost any other application to GPU acceleration.

  • size/opacity of the brush sometimes work and sometimes Don t on the pressure sensitivity

    Hello

I m using a wacom intuos 3 (latest driver) to paint in photoshop CS5 64-bit.

the size and opacity settings are set to the pressure sensitivity, but when I went to bed several times it seems to be quite random if the race is as drawn with the wacom stylus or simply with a mouse. It sometimes seems that the race don't appear at all.

here a picture for example, all the lines are drawn with the pen wacom and opacity/size located on sensitivity to pressure and approximately the same amount of pressure:

    http://www.funpic.de/Foto/492908

Besides the brushes appear to perform quite slow compared to older versions of photoshop, even the regular brush circle is sluggish.

the line always appears a little behind my cursor.

    My system specs are:

    Windows 7 64 bit

    I7 860 2.80 GHz

    8 GB ram

    NVIDIA Geforce 570 1280 GDDR 5

Wacom recommend a downgrade to a previous (6.1.5) of their Tablet driver version if you have intermittent pressure problems.
