Gel to the import screen?

Hi all. Me once again. Currently, I am trying to import images and FCPX freezes on the import screen, then I have to force quit and open it again, only so he can freeze once more when I try to import images. The program itself seems to work fine, aside from that. I tried just by clicking and dragging the video files, but who doesn't, either. Any suggestions on how to fix, or alternative ways to import media? Again, thank you all for your help! You are great!

You must give the tech specifications complete media you speak and your system.

  • Why some files are missing from the import screen?

I'm trying to import some files in LR, but the import screen appears not all files that are in the folder I chose.

I noticed that only when there are multiple files with the same base file name.  For example, when the file contains the following files, LR will display all of them in the form of import:

    • file. MP4
    • File1.jpg
    • File2.jpg
    • ...

However, "file1.jpg" will not be shown in the import screen when the file contains the following files:

    • File1. MP4
    • File1.jpg
    • File2.jpg

I was unable to find a LR preference that covers it.  Have I forgotten?

    Thank you!

Here is a proposal... the emphasis on the word "guess"... When you have file1.mp4 and file1.jpg, .jpg is considered to be a "sidecar" and will not be imported... unless... you select the option in the preferences (general tab) that says: "Treat JPG files files next to raw as separate photos..." Yes, I know says "raw" option and your file is a 'mp4', but need you less than a minute to try ita

  • 6 Lightroom opens the import screen and does not cancel

When I open LR 6 (office), he immediately goes to the screen to import. When I then try to cancel the import, the screen closes for a minute and then returns to the top. I can't find a way to put an end to importation and use LR. I performed the last update patch and reset the preferences.

    A few general suggestions-

Check your tab Preferences-general LR, the "Show import... dialog box. "and uncheck the box if checked.

    Restart LR

Also unplug all usb devices that are not required.

  • Windows 8 is the gel to the lock screen.

I have no problem after startup or when using the computer, but almost everytime when I lock the computer for an extended period of time I am unable to reconnect. I can move the mouse, but there is no cursor and nothing responds on the lock screen. I have to press the reset button on the tower and restart the computer. Anyone else having a problem like this?

I think I finally discovered what was causing it. I got Bitdefender and Malwarebytes installed at the same time. I uninstalled Malwarebytes, and the problem has not returned since. Not sure if it was a combination of these two classes of installation or if Malwarebytes was the problem.

  • Is there a way to always display a file name in the import screen?

I don't want to add everything in a folder to the catalog and it is very annoying to have to hover over the image to see the file name.  I have not found any toggle to display the name of the file.  Anyone have any ideas?

This feature is not available in Lightroom 6.2/Lightroom CC 2015.2

You can go back to Lightroom 6.1.1/Lighroom CC 2015.1.1 where the feature is available, or wait for the next update that may (or may not) have this feature returned.

  • Please tell me there is a way to restore the old screen import LR6

What dufuss decided the Facebook of the import screen edition would be a better option for pro photographers?  Consider this a formal complaint and please send the complaint Department.  Stop it!  There is no need to laugh!  I know there is no service of complaint that is accessible by any normal human being, but gives it a shot, you?  You need to give up the edition of FB.

  • Are not not in the importation of the Windows folders screen.

I work with LR 4.1 under WIndows 7 64-bit. I have an external hard drive with several folders that contain several photos. The drive is listed in the import screen, but none of the folders are presented and cannot be opened. I checked the files hidden without success.  I can open and view the folders and files in ACR, bridge CS5. I tried to drag files on the LR since the Explorer grid.  When I do this it seems that the folder is moved, and then opens the import. However, the folders or files are not listed! I moved a test folder of the drive to another drive and try to import, but the file is still not listed. What is unique in the records that is blocking them?

OK, well I am pretty well confused on this. Last thing to check... Take a look at the properties (general tab) to the top level on the drive folders: to ensure that they are not specified as "hidden". Lightroom can't see "hidden" folders

And what is happening with all the other readers... can Lightroom see those records or they also show the same problem?

  • Adobe CC - I thougth the import problems have been fixed?

I've been away from Photo editing for a few months and last year I missed the update that created all this tumult on the import screen changing. I had not updated and waited until everything has been fixed.  And I felt sure this year upgraded to the latest version.

So today, I ran the last brilliant own LR and tried to copy and import images from my attached 3 USB card reader.

It took me back to a very old version of LR... He read the card to a crawl, and he drew thumbnails very... very... slowly.  Now, it's a 32 GB card with like 16 GB of images on there but still.  3 months ago this version would have whistled in these files and presented the 'new' thumbnails Now lightroom runs very well, very zippy. Just import and card reader.

Then, I thought that maybe it was a Windows-USB-player thing.  I closed lightroom and copied the files via windows Explorer.  He copied like 2 GB in no time at all.

So I'm happy, they kept the interface, but which gives import / copy screen and process? All solutions?

    Thank you

  • Problems with the importation of Lightroom4

I use lightroom 4 on a 2008 Mac Pro installed the latest version of MAC OS x.

My lightroom catalog wasa 3 upgraded successfully without any problem

Now, when I try to import photos from my Canon camera D 5 (the original 5 d) it keeps saying that there is no file to be imported.

I tried unchecking the duplicates don't Import suspected and still it did not help.

I formatted my card full CF in camera, took some new photos and always the same question.

When this happens after that I have say ok, the option to import is greayed out completely and I have to restart Lightroom for it to work again or try the import.

I also have a secondary problem - when I connect my camera LR3 used to invite me to import the photos automatically. LR4 is not to do so.

I went to the image capture and did LR4 the default application to open when I connect the camera and LR4 opens quickly, but don't bring up the import screen.

This problem has been fixed in Lightroom 4.1, which is now available.  To download the 4.1 update, go to the Help menu in Lightroom and choose "Check for Updates".

    Thank you

    Hi marinersr,

You don't mean that the import window is reduced?

You can develop that will bring to the top of all the options to import for you.

    Kind regards

If the problem is related to a corrupted catalog, try to open the organizer with a new empty catalog.

Hold down the SHIFT key at the launch of the Organizer. You get a dialog box with the choice to start with a new catalog, or start with a different catalog and even to 'fix' the current catalog. If your organizer starts with an empty catalog, use the option 'fix' on your corrupt catalog.

My apologies.  The issue proved to be a setting of the unit where I was save the images on the small map and attempt to download the large map.  All goes well and all is well.

Thank you.  Sorry to waste your time.
