Generate the Script to create project gets no version of the server

We use the SQL Developer for most of our database and ODT for Visual Studio source code control. We recently encountered a problem where our scripts were not up-to-date with the server version and almost lost a significant amount of work (but we do not have through flashbacks). If a package is changed on the server outside my instance of Visual Studio, "Generate create Script to project" is not the latest version of the server and seems rather to get a version cached of the package according to when he finally examined by the Server Explorer.

Steps to reproduce:
Create a specification package and body on the server.
Open an Oracle database project.
Open connection to the DB/schema.
Expand the packages node.
Select a package node in Server Explorer and "Generate create Script to project" from the context menu. You generate a script spec and body.
Change the package using a tool external (SQL Developer).
Select the same package in Server Explorer and "generate create Script to project.
The script does not update with the changes made on the server.

A couple of notes:
If I disconnect and reconnect, it will refresh and I get the version of SQL Server. The body will be updated.
If I refresh the connection node and to script the package body will be updated.
If I refresh the packages node and generate the script package body will not be updated.
If I refresh the parent node package and script the package body will not be updated.
If I expand the body for the first time and generate a script from the node parent package the package body will be updated.
If the package body has been expanded and I update a parent node and script the package body will be updated.

At the very least, I would expect refreshing a node parent to refresh all the brothers and sisters.

If caching is by design, it would be good to know if the package had changed since the cached version. If not, he should get the server version.

    Hello
I wonder if on 10g R2 (already installed on a Win 2003 Server) is there any utility to generate a script to CREATE the DATABASE? I just need to generate this script.
    Thank you.

    Hello

What is the need to generate the script, as you can create the DB Custom, writing the insteadf of scripts to go for the tool to help you. Anyway DBCA is where it will generate scripts for you. Try to configure the Options according to your needs and Altast on the last page for creating model instead of the DB.
This generates the scripts for you, and check the ORACLE_HOME, assistants, dbca, templates path

  • Data Modeler: generate the Delta Scripts against an existing schema

Can I generate the DDL Scripts with 'ALTER TABLE' - statements?

For example: relational model and the database are synchronized. That means: each Table of the db is stored in the data model of the Data Modeler.

Now I need new columns in a table. I have set these columns in the data model and now I need a script with:

    ALTER TABLE my_table ADD (new_column DATE);

In the Oracle Designer, it is easier to create such delta-scripts. But I can't find anything similar in the Data Modeler

    Thanks in advance
    Gerd

    Hi Gerd,

We called the "Swap target model" at the last page of the wizard 'import data dictionary' check box. If you select your database will target the model and you can get ALTER statements in the DDL of the Merge dialog preview. It's the same thing with the DDL script.

  • Generate the DDL to create the table in the database

    Hi all

I want to create the new fact and Stadium as being under the statement:

    (1) in the designer, access the models > Oracle BI Applications (folder) > (model) Oracle BI Applications > done (sub-model) step, right click on the WC_SAMPLE_FS data store and select duplicate the selection.

    2) double-click the new data store, and then rename it. Name and resource name must match the name of the actual table. Alias can be the same or greater value easy to use.

    (3) in the sub-tab of the columns, add all columns.

    (4) repeat the same steps to create the fact Table by copying the data store WC_SAMPLE_F under the submodel of "facts".

    (5) for the fact table, define the type of OLAP to "fact Table.

    (6) generate the DDL to create the table in the database.

In step 6, I don't know where and how to generate the DDL to create the database table. Please help me. If you have another tutorial with screenshot, please share with me. Thank you.

  • When I generate the table of contents from a new .book, I get blank pages between each page of the table of contents

With FrameMaker 2015. When I generate the table of contents from a new .book, I get blank pages between each page of the table of contents, they are totally blank does not even a block of text. I click on Add> autonomous Create TOC. I keep the default settings. And that's what I'm left with.

    TOC Frame 2015 small.png

I can get rid of them by special> Delete page. But I never had to do before the 2015 version. I tried with older files generated in frame 10. same thing. If someone has encountered this?

Master Pages are part of each document.

You can import master pages from another document (i.e. a ' model') in your current document using the file > import > Formats... option and select layout from the list (deselect all others).

If you have changed the current TOC for the problem of the Page Master on the left, then simply save the file and use the Edit > update book option for that OCD regenerated by using the new page templates.

If you have not removed the old schema file, then he should have been working, but there seems to be issues with the link between the interface and the model.
I can't say this is the real reason, but it could be. Since you move the interface file data store, interface probably point to the old schema and model file point to the new schema.

I guess you must recreate the interface again. Let me know how it goes with you

  • script to create the folder on the data store please

    Hi all!

I'm having difficulties writing a powercli script to create a file on a data store... we have a mixture of guests ESX 3.5, 4.0 and 4.1, using data storage mounted via NFS.

For work I do, I need to:

    (1) create a folder on a data store (check that the folder does not already exist).

    2) navigate to the folder

    (3) and check if a particular file exists in this folder.

The problem is that the context of my current position makes the code does not. the get-location method returns "C:\temp\ESX", being the record that I run the test script to. I try to use set-card with various settings to try to change the location of a particular data store, but it does not yet work-get-location returns "C:\temp\ESX".

I think that the code for step 3) above is ok, but I can't get any code to work for) 1 and 2).

    can someone please?

    Thank you

    Ross.

You must use the vimdatastore provider to access your data warehouses.

It is documented in vSphere PowerCLI Administration Guide, which is installed on the PC where you installled PowerCLI.

You can use the 'normal' cmdlets to navigate, test and create folders.

    For example:

    CD vmstore:

LS # will show the upper level

CD MyDatastore\MyFolder # navigate with the alias "cd".

test-path MonAutreDossier # check the existence of a folder or file

mkdir test # create a folder

    I hope this helps
