Problem started after a power outage, and I can't fix the Internet Explorer Security page.

Certificate errors occur when there is a problem with a certificate or the use of the certificate server. Internet Explorer can help keep your information secure by warning you about certificate errors.

(1) don't you get the certificate error when you try to browse websites on the Internet or only a part of the specific sites.

(2) what is the version of Internet Explorer you have?

Click the Privacy tab.

Click the button change. If the sites appear under managed Web sites, click Delete in the per Site Privacy Actions window and then click OK.

How to prevent the FF loading all Web sites using the HTTPS protocol

FF is trying to load initially all Web sites using the HTTPS protocol, including of mozilla.org. Then I get the error of no reliable connection of course. Mozilla .org is the "invalid security certificate" and "the issuer of the certificate is unknown." I tried to delete the file cert8.db as suggested elsewhere but that did not help. If there is an option for this somewhere, I can't find it. I have the latest version of FF and Win7 running. Thanks for the help.

There must be some sites that are still using a secure connection, as http://www.amazon.com/. If even a link to Amazon is redirected, you can check if you have an extension like HTTPS Everywhere.

For Mozilla sites, Yes, you establish a secure connection.

But you shouldn't get certificate errors! When you get this for virtually all secure sites, the problem is usually as follows:

(1) error of date, time, or time zone who throw checks validity of the certificates of your system. Sometimes allowing to use a timesource on the internet, the computers can introduce this problem.

(2) not be set up to work with your security software that intercepts and filter secure connections from Firefox. Products with this feature include Avast, BitDefender, ESET, Kaspersky; AVG has a shield search function which can cause this error on search sites.

(3) malicious software on your system for the interception of secure connections.

So... who is?

If you have any of these specific security products, which would be the first thing to check. We might be able to help with specific next steps based on what you have if you tell us.

Alternatively, you can examine the certificate to which Firefox is opposed to see if the issuer information pointing to the culprit. Take for example my test page:

You should see a section "I understand the risks" in the page. If you expand this section, you will find a button Add Exception. You don't need to complete the process of adding an exception (I suggest not adding one until we know that it is not a problem of malware), but you can use the dialog box to display the information that makes Firefox suspicious.

Click Add an Exception, and then view. If the view is not enabled, try first the button get certificate. Then in the certificate Viewer, refer to the section "issued by". What do you find here, or under the hierarchy of certificates? I have attached a screenshot for comparison of screen.

It seems reasonable to allowing all Web sites in the category 'general interest '. I also want to block specific Web sites that I know can be distracting.

It seems that this should be easy. I just select the category of the "general interest" and also add sites to the blocked list. However, it gives me not the behavior I expect. I find that in the list of the blocked websites are accessible as usual.

When I used to go to the story and click Show all history Web sites would be organized in folders that have been listed as today, yesterday, last week, last month etc. Now, all Web sites since the last time I erased from history are all crammed in there how to change this back have once again records?

It shows the error in the XML parser. Please validate your XML code for proper syntax. You might have missed some closing etc tags.

Also make sure that this declaration of refreshservlet and his mapping is appropriate in your web xml.

"The certificate is not reliable because no sender string has been provided" error in all browsers for all Web sites.

As it is said, Chrome, Firefox and Internet explore all give the error message certificate for each attempted site - including the Firefox Add-ons page. The specific error is the "no transmitter channel has given".

(1) this problem is not on my computer - it's on my mom's computer in another city. Therefore, I can't try each possibility bit without fly there - I'm looking for things I can tell him to do it by phone. The problem started today. I already have him given the list of anti-malware programs to install and run from here:

However, the MySearchDial software was never actually installed in the windows install list, and we found no addons/plugins in the browser list (notice that Firefox Add-ons are not accessible with a certificate error, it gives the error message but DO NOT give you the ability to add an exception so that you cannot access the Add-ons). The only thing we found was b MySearchDial was by default in IE search engine list, despite the fact that there is no add-on, and (b) MySearchDial.exe in the folder temp (now deleted). I see I got BitDefender scan the temp folder * before * I deleted MySearchDial.exe, and he said some threats not found. What? This is BitDefender that warned me of this in the first place!

Date and time 5) are correct.

(6) checked the Windows 7 install, only Skype, Skype Click-to-Call, and (for some reason any) Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, and Visual C++ have been installed or modified today. I'm paranoid about Click-to-call and requested to uninstall, but it does not solve the problem.

(7) the operating system is Win7 home 64 bit.

Something beyond the malware removal without end of the programmes (via the above linked list) that we should try?
