Get double entries in sent folder

New to Thunderbird. Sent a few messages and checked the sent folder. Found two entries for each of the messages. The messages were sent twice?

To continue my confusion, I found double entries for a couple, but not all, messages sent before the installation of Firebird.

I can send a screenshot if necessary - I need to copy in a program empty photo editing addresses...

Thank you

  • Results of the research double entry!

Hello! This strange behavior occurs when I generate a .chm and use my main project directory (or a subdirectory) as the output folder for the. chm. If I use the search function in the .chm finish, I get double entries for each topic and one of each work.

Ah, but if I create a folder up one level to my main project folder and use that as my output folder... any double search results. If I use Desktop as my output destination... no problem. As long as my output folder is not the same or contained in my main project folder, the search .chm behaves as it should and returns only single entries for each topic.

I have several projects that use the same general directory structure, and I usually exit the .chm in a directory called "Deliverables" for each project separately. No other projects have this particular research problem.

I've seen as a sort of associates article in which deleting files that begin with "rlt" solve a similar problem. No such files exist in the project directory. I poked through the different files that generates relative humidity for the project and did not see anything that looks like, it could cause this weird problem.

So yes, I have a workaround... but I wouldn't need one. Anyone know what is happening here? And how to fix it?

Problem solved... Pete Lees taken look closer the .chm in question and found several links to topics 'upstream' - subjects above the main directory of the project, and is not in the .hhp file in the see also list. Fix links solved the problem... Thanks Pete!

However, I still wonder why HR created duplicates of 'missing' and discarded topics in the .chm file, where it could not be considered as part of the .chm but found if you used one of the utilities .chm. Who doubled the file size unnecessarily, which originally was my first clue that something wonky was going on.

Suggest you try this: ancient Archives sent emails.

If configure you the options of the Archive to monthly and keep the folder structure, these emails are easily placed. This will reduce the size of the file in the sent folder.

  • Content of the "sent" folder disappeared

    OS = Windows 10.
Sent folder had about 50 entries. I was switching between the reception, sent and trash box, looking for something specific... all folders were normal, including envoys, then next time, I opened sent it was completely empty.
I also have Outlook installed, so I opened and the "sent" folder is empty, there also.
    Is a surprise.

Look under ImapMail / < account name >.

  • Sent messages appear twice in the "Sent" folder

Whenever I'm using Thunderbird 38.1 on Windows 10 to send a message, the message is saved twice in the "Sent" folder I don't have an account with Thunderbird. If I delete this message, the single message sent is displayed twice in the folder "deleted".

Also, is it possible for me to get rid of the files the? I never got a message in them, and I see no need of them. If they are useful, can I at least integrate with records above them, which contain all messages on my email account?

    1. it is indeed a problem with outlook.com.

Simply right-click on the account in the folders pane and select settings.
Copies and records say Thunderbird does not make a copy of the mail sent anywhere.

    2. that depends on your account is IMAP or pop.

    • If it's POP, you can combine

In the account settings > server settings > select advanced use global inbox instead of the Inbox for this account.
Note in this case to any mail account records in local folders first that account records will be more visible after the change.

    • If IMAP is all I can suggest use unified folders view. This is the view (alt + V) menu > folders > unified.

Local folders are local storage. In the case of an IMAP account, it is very important. Move messages to local folders removes the mail from the server, so you can archive mail on your computer you want is no longer online. You can also use local folders to make copies of important mail if you have two chances to lose.

  • right pointing the orange arrow next to sent the message in the sent folder

I sent an email to my son and myself as well. The message was sent, but it never happened in my Inbox. I always do and my message is well received.

On this occasion, I never received the message. There is a right pointing the orange arrow next to the sent message in the sent folder. I assumed that it was sent, but I didn't get the message in my Inbox.

The message was delivered to the e-mail address of my son?

    What is going on?

    Thank you

Using googlemail? They do not seem to approve copies to self supporting without doubt that there is a copy in sent, though it is not as stated in the letter.

You have an alternate email address of your choice to send it to?

I think that all this has worked in the past. What could have changed recently?

  • not sent folder

I recently had problems with my 2nd email account and deleted and reconfigure this account. I decided to move from a POP to an IMAP account. That everything has worked well, except for the fact that I have more access to my "Sent" folder He is not among my files. In "Account settings", I'm set up to save a copy of the messages in the folder sent in this account, and I don't get a progress bar to show that my messages are saved in the sent folder, but I can't find the folder sent anywhere. Any ideas?

Sent folder isn't after all - I was looking at the records inherited from my old OE import. Screw it. I reinstalled as a POP account and I use Mozbackup. Problem solved.

    Irritating confused

    Hey TaylorP56659,

I understand how to duplicate emails sent may irritate you, no worries however! I can help you to see if we can get this sorted out. So if it happens with your Hotmail account, try to check in Mail preferences, behaviors of the Hotmail account mailbox. It is possible that you have sent items save on the server that will allow the Mail application to have twice. This is because a local copy and the copy on the server downloaded is in the follow-up of the app the steps below to disable the registration of sent items on the server and will not happen. You can also check the Hotmail settings via webmail.

    1. launch the Mail application

2 select email preferences from the Mail menu bar

    3. click on the tab accounts

    4. highlight your Hotmail account

    5. click on behaviors of the ball

    6. click on "store sent the Server Messages.

7 close the preferences of Mail and send a test message

You can see the other Preferences in the mailbox behaviors

The steps above should stop these form of duplicates to appear in your sent folder in app Mail thank you for using communities of Apple Support

    Have a great day.

  • When I send an email, it will not put a copy in my "Sent" folder, can I fix?

I chose to put a copy in my "Sent" folder, and sometimes it goes right, blip, blip, almost instantly.
So most of the time he spends a couple of minutes putting a copy in the folder sent, said there was a mistake in doing so I want to "try again", but try even once, does not work. Don't try not only the way to get rid of the "write" page means. I hope someone knows how to fix it. I'd like to. She seems to have actually
sent the message, but no copy in the folder sent to make sure of that. If I put my own address with another email Manager and checked the Bcc, I get the message sent, but still no copy in my sent folder. I'm doing something wrong? Thanks, D.Fox

I have a solution. I continued to watch and try different things. I had chosen the choice by default to "place a copy in: [my e-mail account].» Finally I found at the end of the 'box', arrow down and he opened other choices. It is accessible in this way: click your e-mail account; Accounts; View the settings for this account; Copies & folders; (checked) Place a copy in: [now, do not select the default, but go down, it opens a drop-down menu which includes 'Local Folders'] check that line. (I did have a "Sent" folder under my local files. BUT the next time I "sent" e-mail, it created the "sent" folder and make a copy that is. Not being not too fast, I guess that makes me the 'server' and only on my local files. In any case, I now get a 'Copy' of all sent email and that soon. I recommend trying it to see if it solves your problem too! Hope it will be useful to others. Thank you, all... D.Fox

  • How to make a copy of the sent IMAP messages when the sent folder file cannot be found?

My Thunderbird works fine. I also see messages in the "sent" folder but I wonder are only registered in the IMAP server messages. For the backup application, I would like to copy the file from the "sent" folder but I can't find a local file for this.

In home/me/.thunderbird/44g5fxvp.default/ImapMail/mail. .fi [mymail] I have files
    Archives - 1.sbd
    Archives.MSF

    Messages.MSF deleted
    Drafts.MSF

    inbox_old
    inbox_old. MSF
    msgFilterRules.dat
    Sent.MSF
    Templates.MSF
    Trash.MSF

IE Sent.msf exists but is not named file sent. I am looking for a bad place? My Thunderbird settings or preferences are wrong? Is there something obvious that I missed?
