"Get to Ram" (Ram preview I think it is called).

In after CC2014 effect, when I do a "Render to Ram" (Ram preview I think it is called), I am able to stop the process from anywhere, that I need.  But for some reason any if I leave the rendering to another application (say Outlook), I'm not able to go back on the AE process.

I see the process that makes the whole project, but I'm not able to stop him more.  As I have a lot of memory, it could take up to 20 minutes to complete the rendering.

Thank you both for responding to my question.  Yesterday, Adobe technical support called and took control of the PC.  He concluded that the 'RAM reserved for other applications' has been set to high for the amount of memory it is installed on the PC (24 GB).  It has reduced from 16 GB to 8 GB and the problem disappeared.

Mylenium, I know I should have provided details on the PC and I forgot it.  I understand that it is difficult to help solve a problem when you don't have the facts at hand.  Sorry about that.

I know save an extract does not work at the moment, but if the preview is in ram, there must be a way to save it. Someone at - he found a way to get there? I suppose I could screen capture, but have not found a solution of PC screenshot yet. I was hoping that it was on the iofx inclination is positioned as advised 0.00001. In the same way you used to be able to find the cache renders FCP and move the QuickTimes...

What I've found, is that even when 'Save RAM Preview' worked - it's not instant, it took some time to make the images and create a file. in CS6 if you RAM Preview in your publication and choose 'Save RAM Preview' when it's done--he has to make the file of photos are stored in RAM to the default preset - which has the current settings for rendering parameters and the codec lossless for output module. but you can make just the file with your Cached frames cyrrent settings and you will get exactly the same result and rendering time. This means that Ae use frameworks of caching anyway.

Another way to explain it is that when you load your RAM settings (the bar is green), rendering parameters that take into account and if the Cache that you have taken is equal in terms of parameters - it will be in fact, that he makes, 'save' the RAM Preview. That's why when you restore a file after RAM preview - it is much faster (if the rendering parameters match the current settings of your publication)

If you want to create your own "Save RAM Preview" simply choose 'settings' preset for your render settings and choose a codec without loss of output Module. This is the best you could do in terms of use of the RAM Preview, I think. I always use the current settings for my disk cache settings in the render settings - Tip box: writing in the disk cache when rendered through the render queue. Creative blog Cloud by Adobe

  • Need help as soon as POSSIBLE with RAM Preview

Hey guys I need help with my RAM Preview and how to get it back on the default setting. I don't know what happened, but now my RAM Preview is divided on two screens. I tried literally everything to solve this problem and came to nothing. Nothing on google as well. Help, please! I need to get there soon! Here's what happens: 2016-09 - 03.png - Google Drive

This is your equal to 2 times and not the RAM Preview Composition Panel (in fact it is seen now and not the RAM Preview... you can call him Mr. Preview if you want to get fancy). knowing how to describe your problem lies at halfway to a solution

    DON'T PANIC!

Set it to 1 view and you'll be fine!

These views are used for 3D to show the different perspectives and views spelling of a 3D scene. When they have no use in 2D. If you clicked on the option to display 2 views or more they will appear unless you change it back manually. even when you reset your workspace, they will appear - so I understand why this can be confusing.

  • RAM Preview problem

Preview RAM Somtimes will not get a glimpse of the whole model.  It stops in the Middle, or somewhere and it is difficult to cover the computer everything.  How can I get the RAM Preview to cover the computer, so I can get an overview of the whole thing rather than a somewhat arbitrary?

  • After the failure of the CC renders useless RAM Preview effects

    Hello

I have some strange problems with After Effects, the kind that I have never experienced before.

I'm to animate a sequence of 5 seconds to nine layers, each with 'Twitch' video plugin effect of the first officer added. The model is large, the value 4000 x 4000 px.

When I go to the RAM Preview on full resolution, I get only ten frames of the model in preview before a loop is executed from there. Overview of the SPACEBAR returns the same result (it freezes at ten images). I tried to export the model, but it returns "Fail to 00:00:02." I have created a new model of 1920 x 1080 and tried again with scaled down the source material, but the same effects occur, this time more far down the timeline to 3 seconds. Impossible to RAM Preview, overview of the SPACEBAR or export beyond this point. If I cut the computer just before executives problem to 3 seconds, I can export successfully.

I'm in a whole new macbook pro (2.3 GHz, 16 GB RAM, Nvidia Geforce GT M 750 [active CUDA]) and the project is located on the internal SSD flash drive. OSX 10.9. After Effects is the latest update available 12.2.1.5.

Any ideas? I found nothing in forums dealing with this more precisely. I think I have an OSX update due in fact - I'll check to see if it makes something interesting and report!

    See you soon!

I had problems bad rreally with Twitch, I solved it by uninstalling it and put it back, once again.  I don't know why this happens...

  • PSD layer disappears during rendering, OK RAM Preview

Hi, I have never used an image psd Photoshop CS6 AE, but yesterday, I did, thinking that I could edit easier... it is a still image (non3D) an alpha channel.  I hung out in the draft.  The layer has a few expressions of intense rotation if it matters. I can work on it fine, he plays using the RAM Preview and I can save a part of it as a Save RAM Preview, which is also very good.  But when I returned to a video file, the object disappears full... I just get a black screen.  Any thoughts?  Also, being a relative newbie, if there is a way to slot a TIFF file or something in this layer without losing all my work, please let me know how to do the same.  Thank you!

Show a screenshot of your mounting Panel.

Did you put the layer as a guide layer?

I have a model end of 2013 13 MacBook Pro with 4 GB or RAM retina and think to upgrade to El Capitan. Is this enough RAM

Of course you can upgrade to El Capitan. But I think better if you can change the internal hard drive (SATA drive) in the SSD drive. You will get better results, faster than still, you only have 4 GB. This is mine... MacBook pro in early 2011.

  • RAM Preview stutter

that's to say: it fluctuates between real time and not in real time... .previously AE versions would have seen it very well once he had created a Ram preview but in CC 13.6.1.6 doesn't seem Ram never really get a glimpse of the work area?

Is the reason that you can not install CC 2014 you use dynamic linking a lot and you use first CC 2015? If it is because you are working with other artists who use AE CC 2015, remember that AE CC 2014 can open and work with files created in AE CC 2015 without any problem. It's as if they were created in native mode.

Involved some of the patches that I remember all your panels moving to a monitor (if it is not working on one, move them to the other and try). Another difficulty, I remember hiding your head. Most of the patches involved returning to different parts of the user interface, actually.

  • RAM Preview with Audio

How to get a preview of the video with sound (when I press 0), more than 30 sec long? If it is possible at all the... It wtites I don't have not enough resources for the RAM to listen to... seconds audio, even when I select a range on 2-3 minutes...

If you need more time with your ram previews adjust the Zoom Ratio factor or to 25% magnification and resolution on Auto or set a resolution of 1/4. If that always gets you not what you want to set ignore frames at 1 or 2 in the Preview Panel. It is the only way to measure in the preview.

If you use AE to edit you do not work effectively. AE is for the creation of pictures and short clips. A project of more than a few seconds may be better served by break up in scenes or short sequences, to make the pieces, then editing and polishing in Premiere Pro or your NLE of choice. I even cut animations of dynamic text (often improperly called lyric video) upward in one or two phrases or sentences, then do the final cut in first. It helps me to do in about half the time.

  • RAM Preview plays is not in real time on the new Macbook Pro

    Hello world

I have problems getting after effects to play the video in real time in AE CS6. I use a brand-new Macbook 2015 Pro 13 "retina with a dual core 3.1 GHz processor Intel Core i7 and 16 GB of RAM. I just made sure my copy of AE CS6 is up-to-date with the latest updates (11.0.4.2), and yet I am unable to read the video or animation in real time using the RAM Preview to any size greater than 25% in the Viewer.  If I try to play a video clip of 29,976 fps, the framerate tops out at about 17-18 frames per second. When I press 0 for the RAM Preview, it starts caching the images such as normal, but even after a loop continuous cadence comes not near real-time. The audio plays fine, but the video starts immediately behind. I can't even a scene of simple great test of a form of retouching layer move on the playback screen in the real time RAM Preview.

That said, I can get it to play in real time if I reduce the viewer up to 25%. But obviously, I won't be limited to work in quarter resolution on a new laptop. My last Macbook pro from 2008 and completely across the well treated RAM previews, being able to cache images and play them back in real time without problem.  I have to assume that there may be a function that I'm missing or something goes wrong, unless I just grossly overestimated the capabilities of my new laptop.  But surely, it should be able to manage simple video playback. I had no problem using first on this computer, then it can of course deal with the video.  Any help you can offer would be much appreciated, because this problem becomes really frustrating!

Just for fun, try the trial of CC 2015 and see if it behaves correctly.

  • How can I return RAM Preview?

I'll avoid a mug shot and distill my frustration down to say this: I really hate that RAM Preview was withdrawn after effects CC. He has completely roadblocked my workflow.

That said, is it possible possible to recover what has been taken? Hit the SPACEBAR to play the scenario does not work... because it is not guaranteed to play in real time, it will not correctly cache the video and audio together, while audio is generally cancels after a few seconds, it is impossible to see how the video and audio work together.

I get bored really power get a reliable overview and control where on the timeline and how long this preview was.

A value of 0 (zero) key on your num pad should do a RAM Preview.

  • RAM Preview jump 20-30 images.

RE: Discussion on Twitter with @AdobeCare

OK, so, since the update to the latest version of AE CC, RAM Preview seems to have problems with reading:

It remains unclear 20-30 images of video/animation before you catch upwards. Audio (if it exists) will be read as usual during a RAM Preview. When the RAM Preview, head of scrub stalls visually and then going directly to when the animation/video will resume playing as normal/correctly. The option 'Ignore the frameworks' in the preview area RAM is set to 0. In addition, to be clear this has only happened since the update of AE CC.

A quick chat with other viewers during the weekly live greyscalegorilla revealed that a few others have had the same problem.

With regard to the specifications of the system: I've got 2 months old iMac with 16gigs of RAM, running OS X Yosemite, no system updates available.

I can get you more on Monday 12/1 system specs, but I'm now at home for the holiday weekend (it is a desktop machine that is having problems).

    Thank you very much!

It is a known issue on Mac OS 10.10. It does not affect any version of After Effects on Mac OS 10.9 or earlier. See here:

    http://blogs.Adobe.com/AfterEffects/2014/10/after-effects-Mac-OSX-v10-10-Yosemite.html

The problem only occurs on the first reading and does not occur during loop playback. We are studying this issue with Apple.

  • Plant systematically during RAM Preview and render that?

Every time I try to get an overview of my project, in the exact same task, my computer hangs and a popup empty adobe pop-up OR after just accidents affect. This CERTAINLY isn't the graphics card in my computer or ram as I just bought the Razer Blade 14 with 16 GB of ram and one of the best graphics cards on the market. Literally... 3 days old... and all other applications works very well. But in the middle of my project, when I try to preview them in the ram preview, or add display Quebec, it crashes or "cannot create image buffer". What should I do? I really need to get this working. My mid-term depends on it.

    I use creative cloud.

    epg89 wrote:

If I just make the video more small exports, could I reconstruct their return first?

    Yes.

What could be even easier would be to take a sequence of images out of AE. Then, when it crashes, pick up rendering of the frame where it crashed. Then you can import the image sequence resulting in the first, After Effects, or Adobe Media Encoder as a single video file to add sound and render in your delivery format.

If After Effects is not a problem with this specific framework, but breaks down just in general after a number of images, maybe enter in 'secret' of the AE preferences and change these settings might help. (A simple Google search will be a ton of information on this topic.)

  • RAM Preview ignores frames

I'm on Yosemite using CC 2014. RAM Preview spends about 1 to 1.5 seconds, where is the playhead, and then starts playing.

A big problem is that there is no way to get a glimpse at the beginning of a model. I was setting 2 seconds of empty space at the beginning of all my compositions. Over time she has greatly lowered productivity. Help, please. Thank you.

  • Why my text layers are not made? Text makes RAM Preview

I have a 2D moderately complex composition in 2014 EI, using several Adobe Illustrator files and nested compositions that make it very well.

I can also preview the composition perfectly RAM Preview (about 25 seconds of it anyway).

The problem starts when I try to add the composition to the render queue. Everything except text layers make it very well, but the type is absent (these are native text AE layers, not any type).

I have had no success, the research of the Creative Cow and Adobe user groups. All layers are visible with the 'eyes' on, and I do not use the 3D settings.

Render settings are best settings, Lossless, but I played with different parameters and get the same results.

I'm on an old MacBook Pro running OS 10.7.5

    Please help, thanks.
