  Hi, tried different steps as recommended on the web/FAQ site etc, but nothing. All my settings (such as log ins, saved passwords, etc.) also disappeared. However, I could recover my favorites, by pure luck I think.

  But the files have been saved in any normal place and install Firefox 8 caused a lot of problems, lost data and time.
