Get updates LR back after PC crash

A few weeks ago, my computer upgraded to Windows 10. Then last week, I had a crash. Reinstalled Windows 7 original OS. A couple of years I have

bought LR4. During this time, I was getting updates for it. When the computer crashed, I got the current version of the LR5, I think it was 5.71?

I reinstalled from the CD LR4. I then clicked on "Find updates" in respect of the aid. He told me that LR is up-to-date. How can get my LR4 towards the

current version without having to buy it?

Okay, so I was using my computer and going to many and a friend sent me a link to the thing windows 10 technique (I would say is wonderful and I look forward to be interrupted). In any case, I read the fine print and all that came with it, but I don't understand the part where it says that any other OS (in addition to the technical preview) would be wiped because I thought that I would check out and then switch back, but I apparently missed it. • How to get my icons back after MS10-046

Hello world. When the warning came out in late July, I ran the Fix It for MS10-046 and of course most of my icons went. I heard that a subsequent update should automatically bring back, but they do not return. Today, I ran KB2286198 and they still aren't back. I also tried to launch Microsoft Update and it does not find the available updates. This is for Windows XP Pro SP3. Any suggestions?

    Thank you

If you run the Fix It, update will not redo fix it but in case this user did NOT have any work around then update would solve a vulnerability without affecting.

I have a Dell Dimension E521, Window Vista Home Premium desktop computer. Iwill download and install updates, but whenever I restart my computer I have installed. My windows freezes constantly and I often crashes. Drivers will not install either.  Help, please!

    Hello

I suggest you to follow these steps and check if that helps:

    Method 1:

If you have installed a security software on the computer, then I suggest you try to disable temporary and check to see if the same problem happens. Make sure that you enable security software back once the diagnosis is made to prevent the computer from virus attacks.
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software

    Method 2:

Try to download the update from this link and install the update manually and check if it helps:

    It will be useful.

  • How to automatically restore the session after a crash/update / without asking me if I want to restore it?

Hello, there are times that my Firefox crashes (well, it happens to all of us who use it to some extent) or updates asking to restart. I would like to know if there is an option that allows you to restore the previous session automatically without asking me even. It would be very useful for reasons. I had this kind of problem a couple of times ending me be upset. Sometimes I misclicked and lost all my important tabs. Other times my firefox has crashed/shifted on after reboot and guess what sound restart still has not even asking me if I wanted to restore my session crashed.

    Thank you in advance.

Cesarius Hi, I think I understand, but I have not explained completely.

The browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes preference is to avoid an infinite loop. The default value 1 means an attempt to restore the session automatically once and if it fails (for example, it crashes before it can finish to restore), then display the "embarrassing". You could try to increase the value of 2 or 3 and see if it works on the second or third time. If you still see the screen "This is awkward" after a crash, Firefox still does not make a failback.

You can also check if there is a file user.js in your profile folder. A user.js file is a file of optional parameters that Firefox reads at startup and uses to override the settings saved in your previous session. Unless you create a user.js file yourself, you can usually just remove it. This article includes a section on the hunt for a possible user.js file: How to fix preferences that will not save.

Note: by default, Windows hides the .js file extension. Precise work with file names, I suggest setting windows to show all file extensions. This article has the steps: https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

  • After the crash and 32.0.3 update I can't recover lost tabs

Due to the failure of my pc crashed while I was surfing.
After the reboot, I restarted Firefox and unfortunataly it did update. However, after the update I couldn't choose reload tabs/reload the previous session. I got the sessionstore.bak files and I tried to recover my tabs replacing the .js extension but on startup there is not possibility to restore the session/tabs: firefox simply replaces my sessionstore.js.

It is a problem of corrupted files or updating changed somehow handling tabs or sessionstore.js format?

Thank you very much for your help!

Restore previous Session is grayed out? This indicates that the previous session already has been restored and you can try to reopen the windows closed and closed in the history menu tabs. Either:

    • button '3-bar' menu > history > (title of the individual window)
    • (menu bar) History > recently closed Windows > (title of the individual window)

If there's nothing there, you can check two other things:

Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button. This should launch a new window list all your settings files.

Scroll down and copy all the files starting with sessionstore to a safe place for an eventual recovery.

Made sessionstore.bak -datetime - created during your last update of Firefox - look as if it might contain relevant data?

Find all the additional files, such as sessionstore - 1.js or other numbered files? If so, which indicates that Firefox cannot write to the main sessionstore.js file because it is locked or corrupted, and your windows/tabs are saved in a numbered file. Unfortunately, Firefox may not actually restore all files automatically. In this case, I believe that you must delete the sessionstore.js file (after the release of Firefox) and copy the last numbered sessionstore.js file.

If none of these pans, you can check if your sessionstore.js file stored Firefox in a restore point. Right click on the file > properties > Previous Versions. If you find something promising, make sure that Firefox is closed before restoring it.
